*this was written a while ago and i just found it again and genuinely still feel this way*

The amount of times i've told myself to not feel something, or not react, or not allow myself to be classified as mentally ill and ignored help, or been emotionally manipulated, and not felt heard, or minimized, taken advantage of to avoid the risk of being weak. All these habits i've formed around my heart make every move i make now so much more difficult, i dont trust my emotions, and my mind works so quickly my heart can't keep up and i always jump to the conclusion I'll be ok. I dont even give myself the courtesy of a deep breath before i plunge my heart, mind, and soul into a time where light leaves and joy is whisked away and i smile as i drown because i just assume this is peace, it seems i’ve forgotten what peace is how quiet and kind. Not filled with repressed breaths. peace is forgiving and loving. I cannot find peace within my thoughts or in my heartbeat, my peace passes me by, flows over my head, undiscovered, elusive and oh so loud.
