The Most Powerful Jedi
290 posts
How hard can it be to write a self description? My name is Anakin Skywalker; Jedi Knight and General. I'm the best pilot in the galaxy, and that's not bragging! It's honesty. If you want to know more, just ask. Rules of Engagement ((An independent RP blog. I'm going for a clone wars era based Anakin with less of the just-for-kids stuff. (If that makes sense to anyone.) Sometimes I do things just for fun or for the sake of comedy, but overall my threads will stay fairly serious.))

"I allowed my emotions to rule over my actions and got carried away," he began coolly, taking words from lines he'd memorized long ago. "However I may feel about you, or you for me, our relationship is what it is. I will do my best to accept that and move on." He knew all the Jedi codes and saying by heart and recited them flawlessly, but behind the feigned innocence of his words, determination held fast. He knew he could not let this go, but for the time being, he would have to do his best to ignore it. Whatever Obi-Wan said, Anakin knew better than to believe every word. There wasn't anything he could do to make his master admit it, not now. Patience was needed, so for the time being he'd relent. One day, he told himself, one day I will convince him to open up to me. There wont be any turning back after that.
Patience, my friend.

“General Skywalker, sir.” Rex stood tall, saluting his superior.
Anakin gave a short nod. “Good to see you’re alive and well.”
It takes more than a few clankers to take me down, sir. However, I can say the same for you.”
"That's what I like to hear," he said with a grin. "Just don't get into any good fights without me."

((I don't want anyone to think I've left the galaxy again, but I'm not sure how reliable I'll be with replies. I'm feeling a little heartbroken at how terrible I am at staying consistent, considering that my past interactions with all of you have been so fun and amazing (really!!!!!!!) I can't promise to be better about it in the future, because I'm not sure I could keep that promise, but I can apologize forever.
- much love, skywalkerknight

The cloaked figure threw back its hood.
San Hill recoiled, hands flapping like panicked birds sewn to his wrists. He had time to gasp, “You’re-you’re Anakin Skywalker!” before a fountain of blue-white plasma burned into his chest, curving through a loop that charred all three of his hearts.
The Separatist leadership watched in frozen horror as the corpse of the head of the InterGalactic Banking Clan collapsed like a depowered protocol droid.
“The resemblance,” Darth Vader said, “is deceptive.”

Anakin nodded and followed Obi-Wan into the next room; he knew better than to argue at this point. He took a seat and listened quietly to everything his master had to say. It wasn't as difficult to keep silent now. He'd seen something in his master's eyes. A glint of some emotion he didn't quite understand, but it told him what he'd suspected was true: Obi-Wan was lying. Calm came easily to him now. He knew he would be able to change his mind eventually. All he needed was a little patience. When Anakin spoke, it was clear that he'd let go of his frustration, "I understand, master." He looked at Obi-Wan, a fierce confidence flickering behind his eyes. "I think I understand you perfectly."
Patience, my friend.
Obi-Wan had already felt Anakin’s outburst coming, but stayed silent all the way through his shouts and only looked up at him when he apologized locking eyes with his padawan. “The lounge, Anakin,” he spoke, motioning for him to go through. He kept his cool, knowing that letting any of his own feelings escape would only prove Anakin right: that he did feel something.
Once in the lounge, he shut the door behind them and stepped towards one of the large windows, looking out over Coruscant. “I’m not telling you that your feelings are accepted,” he spoke, turning his back to the glass. “I’m telling you that you should not lock them away, but try to put them in perspective, and think them over. What you feel, and what you desire because of it, Anakin, cannot happen,” Obi-Wan spoke again. “I don’t know how often I need to say it before you understand,” he added, ignoring the fact that Anakin had mentioned that Obi-Wan felt the same. He couldn’t know and despite the fact that speaking these words did hurt, he could not change his perspective. Just like he’d never given into the love he had felt for Satine or Siri Tachi, he couldn’t give into Anakin either.

As difficult as Kitty made it, he managed to keep his cool a little longer. "Not exactly,"  he said, eyeing her closely and wondering if he should bother to elaborate further.
“Peacekeepers.” She repeated in confusion, he seemed so edgy about the subject it was clear the man wasn’t joking at all. Not that Kitty cared anyway. “So you’re like an traffic officer in costume with an Asian name. It totally makes sense to me.” Kitty laughed again but soon tried to behave herself and the giggle ceased, at least to carry on with the conversation.

You could be a little more specific

Mr. Skywalker. Hello! Um.. is it kinda hard to use the force sometimes, I bet it hurts!
No, it doesn't hurt. It isn't difficult, but... some times are easier than others.
((This has been sitting here for a month. My apologies, Anon.))

Anakin notes for later
On the subjects of: Introversion vs extroversion, being a generally private person, and morality.
Anakin has a lot of qualities that could put him on either side of the intro/extroversion scale. Ultimately, I'd say he fits better on the introverted side. Based on his aversion to being caught in situations that would put him in close contact with a lot of people, and his tendency to seek solitude in times of stress or anxiety. That doesn't mean he dislikes people; we all know that's just not true. He's just easily worn out from dealing with people regularly, and seems to prefer working alone to working in groups. (On that note, he definitely prefers to lead rather than follow.)
Anakin doesn't do a whole lot of emotional sharing. In fact, he doesn't do a whole lot of thinking about his feelings in general, but he talks about them even less. The only one he opens up to completely is Palpatine, but I'd say a lot of that has to do with Palpatine's excellent manipulation skills. He's trying to get Anakin to open up to him, and he knows just what to say to put him at ease. Normally, his fear of judgement stops him from being completely open (especially with Obi-Wan.)
Anakin struggles with right and wrong his whole life. He can usually decide with relative ease what he feels is right or wrong, but he doesn't have a very good moral scope, so to speak. His personal feelings take precedence over all else, but he doesn't always realize it. This inability to look at things objectively also makes him a terrible judge of character. He often fails to see deception when it's right in front of him, or obvious to everyone else.

He couldn't believe it, now she was laughing at him. The indignity of it all was enough to get his anger boiling again, but he held it in. His face grew hot, but he ignored it. He struggled for a moment before he found his calm again. This time he did not sound stiff or on edge. "I know exactly what I am. I don't think I could explain it thoroughly to someone with no prior knowledge." he said with new found serenity. "In simple terms, we're peacekeepers." He put more emphasis than necessary on the word "simple."
She laughed out loud at his response. It was so funny someone was something he couldn’t even explain it, even the losers from the Glee club knew they were losers, but this was new and hilarious. “So you don’t even know what you are, are you sure you don’t come from an asylum or something?”

He wondered if she was being purposefully rude. "If you don't know, then I can't explain it!" he snapped, regretting his impulsive reply immediately after. It wasn't very Jedi-like to get angry over something so trivial.
Kitty  could see the surprise and indignation in the face of man and yet, she didn’t understand what was so frustrating. His clothes were indeed a joke itself and she would have said that but he seemed so serious about being something Kitty hardly could pronounce. “What the hell is a Jedi? It sounds like Vietnamese food.”
