❆━━{ Soooo, after some careful consideration and long thought, I have decided to archive this blog and start over fresh. This blog has become something I don’t want it to be – inactive, messy, and overall, worn out. I’ve had sleeptight-frostbite for nearly three years now, and Jack is far too important to me to just leave, so I will completely be moving to glaciiate over the next week or so. I will reblog his promo tomorrow, and begin following those I wish to continue interactions with over on that blog.

Regarding current threads and plots, save for the recent ones, they will be DROPPED. For those I am actively writing with as of now, I will send a message your way over on glaciiate to check whether you would prefer to continue our current threads, or start over.

Thank you all for being so very patient with me over the past year. Musing Jack on this blog has been such a chore for longer than I am okay with, and to retire this one feels like such a tremendous weight has been lifted off both of our shoulders. I look forward to interacting with all you guys over there, and again, I cannot thank you enough.

i w as looking through my posts and i found this ask from way m onths back and thought about it a little more t bh and j ust

can we compare these two grins for a minute

so here’s the thing about the one to the left. in the beginning of the movie almost every time jack smiled i noticed like 0.5 seconds after he flashes that charming ass smile they curl into a smirk. PERSONALLY, these smiles are half assed as fuck and are, unfortunately, the smiles most people get to see from Jack. a smile that signifies ‘ oh this looks like fun why don’t we go at it ‘. honestly Jack’s smiles are adorable but these ones just ?? don’t seem too bright. they’re not fake, but these aren’t exactly sincere either.

then you compare it to the SECOND smile which is so genuine and warm and ?? that’s it, that’s jack legit smile, one that most people don’t get to see often. that’s him when he’s genuinely happy, when he’s determined that he’s found a reason to be truly joyful. it’s a smile you see when he’s at peace. a smile you see when, at the rarest of times, he remembers what warmth feels like.

     He always made himself scarce during the summer seasons ━ fled back to the frigid tundras of glaciated landscape and gelid winds that borne him, for the torrid weather was so very quick to drain him. It was like a hibernation of sorts, albeit in lieu of prolonged sleep, the sprite partook in pestering the polar creatures that inhabited the frigid region. Oh, how he had come to love polar bears.

     However, come a day when the blistering head of summer should cool, Jack did his best to visit those he temporarily had left behind ━ Seraphina being one of them. He had only made her acquaintance a short while ago, but the more he came to know her, the more he came to realize she was so very much like himself.

     Strong, steadfast, but so very, very alone.

     Thus, Jack took it upon himself to visit her as often as he could ━ whether invited, or not.

     “ Hey, you busy? ”

    It had only been a few months since their last meeting, but to a spirit left dreary after years of crippling isolation, it felt like much longer. Albeit he realized that the Guardians had far busier schedules than his own, and his last intent was to disturb them. However, Tooth had never once seemed displeased to see him,  even when he turned up completely unannounced ━ which is exactly what he had done today.

     “ Oh, heh, no. Nothings wrong. ” The sprite answered, impish smirk upturning the crooks of gelid lips as he relinquished his hold on the fairy. 

     “ Just wanted to swing by and say hi. ”
