I have four days until the deadline for this job application and only five questions left to answer on the form but unfortunately they are difficult and some of them are ‘tell us about your experience with X’ when I’ve only kind of sort of done anything related to X - not so hopeless I can forget about the application but not easy enough to do it in five minutes segments of free time during working hours either. grey zone of severe annoyance. TONIGHT I will pick the hardest one and do it and then tomorrow I can do the next two-three and then finish+review the application on Wednesday.

had a proper beautiful fifteen minute conversation with two guys in like their 30s about city of Manchester and the weather and music and Ireland and travelling. just cause he heard me speaking on the phone and figured out I was Irish and I mentioned a friend of mine called Róisín - he knows another Róisín in that part of town and thought we might have a mutual friend. transpires we have a lot in common. and he asked about me going to Edinburgh tomorrow so I mentioned Oasis an of course he likes them and he told me he lives out near Heaton Park so for the homecoming gigs he just sat in his front garden and listened. I keep talking to such beautiful cool people.

funniest thing was that I got off the train at Oxford Road last night and the first building in front of you when you get onto the main street from there is literally India House. I looked up and I was thinking ‘maybe there’s quite a bit of Manchester that looks like that’ but I checked and I was on Whitworth Street. no that’s were Ian Brown and Noel Gallagher were living for real. huh
