in episode 3 of past life, joel started using his default skin again. episode 3 of past life is in version 1.1, which was released in janurary 2012.

the first minecraft video that joel posted in 2012 was this video, where he used this skin

joel's current skin first appeared in this video, released in may 2020. that means that joels skin is now 8 years off, as opposed to episode 2's skin which was only 6 years off.

reminds me of how in the video advent calender challenge disaster lizzie makes joel wear one of her dresses and then has him post a photo of him wearing it on twitter. tried looking for the tweet several months ago and couldn't find it however they show it in the video

joel's skin in past life episode 2 is even MORE inaccurate than it was in episode 1!!!

episode 2 takes place in version beta 1.7.3 which was released in 2011, which means that the most accurate skin would be the skin shown in this image:

the skin which joel used in episode 2 first showed up in this video, released on november 7 2017, meaning that the skin is off by 6 years, while the skin in episode 1 was only 2 years off!!!

the skin that joel uses in past life episode one is actually inaccurate for the time the that the version is from (2011). the skin that he used for past life episode 1 first showed up in episode 34 of beancraft, which was released in november 2013!

the skin that he used in 2011 can be seen here in the thumbnail which he used for his first few minecraft videos! (he is the shrek of course) the skin is similar to the skin he actually used, however it is significantly less detailed and has slightly different colors.

what kind of bender do you think joel would be, if he was one? and if not, what kingdom?

i'd say firebender !! he likes setting things on fire (flower husbands wall . i also remember in his one life 2.0 purge him just setting a lot of the buildings he saw on fire . and probably several other instances those are just the 2 i remember off hand) and also he is quite ambitious . in hermitcraft he has an INSANE base , even more crazy with the fact that he is constantly running low on diamonds so its harder to buy materials , but also the fact tgat he has like 4 frogger trophies !!!!

im not sure where he would live in specific, but he definetely has been everywhere considering how many places hes been in real life!!
