the commoner's guide to bedding a royal by olivieblake — god, this fic!!!! it's a modern royal au and the ensemble of characters make this whole world feel so alive. it's inspired by will/kate and harry/meghan and it's sooo cute. theo and daphne were the breakout characters and i love them dearly. if you're looking for a lighthearted romcom-esque, occasionally angsty (because duh!) fic, this is it!!! i probably read this in two days which is insane considering the word count, but that should just tell you how lovely this whole fic was. there's a second part to this if you're itching for more afterwards (and it's just as good!)

EMBEDDED ART!!! honestly this is the fic that made me want to learn how to bind which is so serious and if you haven't read this yet you need to.

It took you a moment to realise the question was in fact directed at you, if the expression of disbelief on the young man’s face was anything to go by. For a few moments you could only stare back at him, wishing that you were in fact the person he was mistaking you for because seven hells this man was attractive. His brown hair, which was swept up in perfectly charming waves framed his enchanting brown eyes. Their endless depth had you enraptured, and you felt like you were swimming in them.

You realised just how long you must have been looking, because he took a step towards you. 

“Eve? It’s me, Jackson,” he repeated with a tone that held more hope. The slight daze you were in was suddenly shattered, and you blinked a few times before pulling yourself together, and gave him what you hoped resembled an apologetic smile.

But he’s laughing dryly, his heart racing a million miles a minute because you were the one who scared him.

Instantly, your eyes rip from the screen to look into his own, finding his expression painted in all seriousness. “Why are you asking?” You giggle under your breath, “go ahead.”

Your head is then tilted far enough to allow access to your exposed neck, and he is looking at the vast expanse of skin like a vampire who hasn’t eaten in days. The feel of his plump, warm lips encasing the unexplored area had you gasping slightly, which he pulls away nervously with a laugh. “Sorry.”

He is on top of you, bangs hanging over his eyes like a sheer curtain as his warm breath fans over your neck. He isn’t oblivious to everything around him, gulping once he sees your fingers grip the fluffy blanket in expectation. You’re shuddering as he leans closer, and when you feel the soft lips that has never claimed sanctuary on your neck before, you cry out softly.

Taehyung then laughs, gluing you into his arms as his legs wrapped around your waist while placing many small open kisses on the skin of your neck. “Damn, jagi–“ he grins, placing one last peck onto your lips, “I love you.”

Pulling you into an empty room inside the large house party, he can barely hear your breaths over the loud music screaming into the night. Which means that I still need a fucking plot.
