     His blue eyes would only narrow more as he grabbed Sora by the sleeve of his shirt. At this point, Roxas hardly cared what Sora had in mind, as long as he kept quiet. He wanted to go back to bed, and he wanted to go back now.

     ❝Just… get inside.❞

     One hand opened the door wider, while the other yanked Sora inside. 

        with the smallest of yelps, he would allow himself to be pulled inside.           it was soothing to be sheltered from the morning chill–– -he displayed           his relief by promptly taking a spot on the floor & laying down on his           stomach, facedown.

         「  urghhh–– -why does your house haf’ta be so far away .  .  .  」

          he rolled over onto his back & cradles the pizza ( it’s warmth was fading           quickly, but he didn’t seem to mind, or care for that matter ), azure eyes           focused on nothing in particular.

        「  anyways, i was wonderin’ if y’ had toilet paper ? m’ dog ripped up           a whole bag & i’m still broke as heck.  」

         he cuts himself short, much like snipping a wire, mostly out of predisposed          respect. after getting a bandaid ( they can heal anything and everything,          obviously ), perhaps he could continue to touch up, but with increased          supervision. gotta make sure someone can stop him from running into obstacles.

       「  urgh, fine. i jus’ need a bandaid then.  」

             he acts like he’s never seen such a huge animal before, curious              fingers delicately stroking plush feathers.

{♔}  —How bizarre to stare at someone and have your own                 face, your own eyes, looking back at you. The similarities                 between them were far too strong to believe that this was                 a mere coincidence. Besides, one could never be too careful                 when protecting the integrity of one’s Kingdom.

                Sora did feel pity for the boy, though; he simply looked                 beaten, worn-out. With a soft sigh, he stepped closer to                 the bars separating them, a hand raising to wrap around                 one of the metal poles.

                ❝And where’s home?❞ he asked, head tilted just slightly to                 the left. ❝I could probably get th’ charges dropped if you leave                 and don’t come back.❞

                Not that he had any idea how the boy would get away. If he                 recalled correctly, the prisoner’s transportation had been                 impounded.

           then a smile lit up his expression so suddenly, it was as if the room              brightened with sunshine–– -not so much the “in-your-face” glare, but              warm & almost seeming of youthful ecstaticism. he was tired & confused            & hopefully everything was just a huge misunderstanding .  .  . right ?

              he’s just two words away from going home & continuing on with his everyday               life, never to remember this incident–– -though, he’s not sure if being in trouble               with royalty would become a permanent flaw on his record.

            「  destiny islands–– -!  」 though he’s cut off with the racing of his heartbeat,               he says the name proudly. now sitting up with straightened posture, his               head tilts to one side, not so quite touching his shoulder. azure eyes stare               intently at the other youth.

            「  & well, duh, after all this, i’m pretty sure i wouldn’t wanna come back &               get thrown in here again.  」

         he could blame the late-night pizza party ( which, of course, was entirely            his fault ) or on the little yipping mess of fur that was presumably the dog            next door. there was a million excuses for him to dish out–– -though when            approached by unamused friends, what was he supposed to say as an            excuse to be tired ?

         ( sora was never the best liar; strings of false statements were followed with            shifty eyes & a nervous chuckle. )

         never one for skipping ( always there but late or sleeping on his desk ), he            toyed with the idea. oh, how devilish he felt ! & when riku took his usual            place the front door, waiting for him, fingers flew through his hair to wreck            his already messy bird’s nest of hair in an attempt to make himself less            “presentable”.

         「  sorry ‘ku, 」 he says with a smile–– -sheepish, anxious, falsely flustered–– -            when he opens the door. 「  i’m–– -uh, sick. y’ can leave without me !  」

           he shakily coughs once. twice. a third time, to prove his point.
