the kunai pierces her false flesh, and she does not feel it; but she lets akali go all the same, mischief glimmering in her eyes and a smile on her lips. evelynn draws back incorporeal, a mist, swirling in on herself until she’s standing roughly a meter away, hands in the air – a mock surrender.

she doesn’t want to break her, after all – that’d be a terrible waste.

the apology is false, dripping with entirely too much sweetness to be genuine, and she knows it – plays up the faux-innocence to the point where it’s maddeningly obvious, just to drag out some little shred of annoyance to dig her claws into – she hates it when akali is composed. control is evelynn’s antithesis, and it is oh so very dull – with her around, though, that won’t be a problem.

“ don’t pout, it doesn’t suit your pretty face. ” azure talons wind around a lock of her own hair as evelynn leans her weight back onto one leg, watching intently.

“ – besides, it was only a bit of fun. ”

Collapsing to the snow-covered ground, her inhales of air are greedy & desperate as she recovers - scowling at the demon & her own carelessness. Weak. Fragile. Playthings. That’s all the cultists are to these demons. And that is exactly why she runs, why she isolates herself. The gold gilded edges of the sword known as fame has plunged again, again & yet again into her back - why must she bear a burden she never asked for?

And yet, she did not need to think of such things with her. At this point, she’d rather the permanent chase and the bite of their bark than the packs of mongrels snapping and clawing at her heels wherever she walks. With Evelynn... All she had to worry about was her life. How ironic.

Honestly... depends. Akali isn’t the type to fear a new start & the changes which may come as a part of a fresh beginning - as long as said changes do not interfere with her motivations, she has no problem with beginnings. As for how excited she is, it depends on if those beginnings were wrought by her own hands or if they were forced upon her. The rogue lives life by her own design; all the decisions she makes are purely her own. She’d lean towards anticipating these beginnings.

The blood moon. He’s heard stories about, how when it rises demons come up from the ground and destroy the world as we know it. There is plenty to learn about it, and yet people knew nothing about it aside from whispers from people who said they escaped from the cults. It was all strange to him, so strange that Ezreal had to learn about it. That’s when he saw her, a women dressed in red with what seemed like a demon mask of some sort. She had to belong to them right? There is no way, anyone would dress like that just to dress like that right?

So, with that, Ezreal put away his journal and slowly started to follow her. Hopefully he didn’t stand out too much…Right?

Akali is no stranger to being hunted. But oh, how the wolves howl when the deer strikes back. 

Cultist or demon, she’s whetted her blades upon the blood of both. The sensation of being followed - while not an unfamiliar one - is certainly one the priestess despises. In all her cycles, never has she been followed by a human; never has she been followed by one so foolish. The crimson lifeblood on her hands sings a haunting tune. You want more, don’t you? Red-clad figure stops in her tracks, closing her eyes. The dappled moonlight upon her outstretched hands offer no reply. But of course. Well then. She’ll deal with this in her own way.

As self-centered as she usually is, Akali isn’t exactly opposed to helping people per say - most of the time, she simply doesn’t see the point of doing so. Unless helping others advances her own interests, she most likely won’t help. Unless you’re close friends with her, don’t expect her to run into a burning building for you any time soon. As a child, she was far more helpful - the harsh truth in being forced to grow up faster is that she follows a firm ‘every person to themselves’ mentality. Those who she considers herself close with would’ve probably asked about or reprimanded her unsympathetic ways but... the truth is, her ways have served her well & she’s unlikely to change.

Akali doesn’t care about her reputation - or at least, she puts on a facade of detachment. She knows she has a reputation around certain parts of Ionia of being a ruthless killer, a woman of deliverance, a figure of both righteous and unrighteous fury. The rogue assassin’s name never precedes her kills - it is only spoken of in hushed tones by the motes of smoke left behind, the Noxian blood staining the waters. She does not care about her reputation to those she will kill. To the few and far between she respects, she will be somewhat considerate of how she presents herself. To those who are neither, she is simply just another mercenary. After all, there is a reason why she wears a mask.

K/DA Akali... used to care a whole lot about her reputation. Her pre-debut days were often spent in varying levels of sadness and anger after receiving insensitive comments. After POP/STARS, she still does check how fans and haters alike see her on social media platforms. A part of her journey as an idol is slowly growing to accept that being famous simply comes with people telling you how they feel about you. It’s a double edged sword. There’s no doubt that she would’ve received backlash after she forms True Damage. Her determination to create a unique group was only driven by those who said she would fail. In summary - Yes, she does care about her image. Most people do. But she uses this as a source of strength rather than something which beats her down.

In almost all of her verses, she ends up alone. Akali does not care for companionship. If they do not get in her way, she will not avoid or seek friendships. Keeping friends in most of her verses is ill advised. She’s definitely the ‘we share a common enemy, therefore we have the same interests & can consider ourselves allies’ kinda gal. As soon as this changes, she cuts them away. Valuing her autonomy and independence more than anything else, she will not hesitate to ghost people ( in all senses of that word ) if they begin to pose restrictions on her freedom. In situations where she must make allies, she will begrudgingly do so. Akali is definitely a lot nicer in her idol verse but even there she can be stand-offish to those she isn’t close with.
