Happy Birthday!! I have a thing! Giant who snaps on tiny and shows their small friend what the look like when angry for the first time. The tiny gets petrified and starts crying and the Giant tries calm their friend down, but they can't because the tiny keeps flinching away from their grasp. Now they are both sad babies😭

You stand before them unable to speak, lost in the powerful sensation of craning your neck up to stare at someone who towers over you even while they kneel there, holding as much curiosity for you as you do in turn for them, both of you silent save for the beat of your hearts and the gentle sound of breath coming quick with startled adrenaline; they move slowly, carefully but so very deliberately, as if part of the world itself has come alive and begun to reach towards you, casting a mighty shadow over your trembling form as you make no attempt to flee, simply freezing up and watching, waiting to see what they’ll do. Giant hands close around your waist and midriff and you let out a breathless gasp, not because of any undue pressure nor strain placed upon you, the touch couldn’t be more gentle, but out of sheer amazed awe, feeling no need to squirm or otherwise struggle as you are lifted as if weightless from the ground, brought up to face the gaze of the giant before you; they regard you with a softness that tells you they mean no harm, your own startled look reflected in their eyes that are so very focused on you, in that moment you are their whole world despite how dwarfed and outsized you are. After a moment they blink and their face grows warm with a gentle smile, a twinkle in their gaze as they pull you to them, wrapping their arms across you and lightly pressing you into a soft chest where a rhythmic heartbeat pulses and mighty lungs exhale and inhale, expanding the comfortable surface against you, surrounding you with gentle heat and a deep sense of comforting safety as you are hugged, cradled by a giant; they could easily be petrifying and yet…. somehow you feel as if nothing in the world could hurt you now, like you’ve never belonged anywhere else more than you do in this gentle hold, feeling that looming face lean against you as the towering colossus lets out a long, rumbling, satisfied sigh and presses their cheek to the top of your head, surrounding you with their affection; a hand brushes down your back, patting you lightly, giving you a gentle squeeze to let you know they’re there for you, to protect you be it from physical harm or otherwise, this gentle giant will let you stay in their warm embrace as long as you need and whenever you need somewhere to disappear into their strong arms will be there, held out open to you.

An Introduction To G/t

Hello! I’ve seen some people be pretty confused about what g/t is and a lot of gross miscommunication regarding it at times, so I figured I should make a post to clear things up and explain it for anyone who just randomly stumbled across it!

G/t is short for Giant/tiny, and is a term for any sort of character dynamic revolving around the idea of two characters with different sizes interacting. For example, The Borrowers or the Lilliput section of Gulliver’s Travels.

The appeal is mainly that it’s cute. Having a tiny friend standing on your shoulder or riding in your pocket just plain sounds cute, so it’s something we focus on in the content we write or draw.

At the same time, some people (myself included) look at it as a way to cope with things. I like the idea of being able to hold someone small and keep them safe because in reality, I often feel like I can’t protect the people I care about and I want to be able to do more for them. I focus on this idea because it just feels comforting, imagining being able to carry my friends around, keep them safe, scare off anyone who wants to hurt them… it’s vicarious, but in a way it’s calming, imagining being able to help someone like that.

Most people who view it as a coping mechanism generally have a reversed perspective, wishing they had someone there to protect them and carry them above any danger.

I’m assuming you’ve probably seen people fetishizing the same concept, and yes, some people have a more sexual perspective of g/t. We call that macro/micro, short for macrophilia/microphilia, and generally consider it to be somewhat distanced from g/t. One’s a character dynamic, the other’s a kink.

Unfortunately, some sites haven’t exactly gotten the memo about this, so on some you’ll still see macro/micro content being tagged as g/t. Tumblr seems to be the main site that sticks to the rule of “#g/t for SFW, #macro/micro for NSFW”, so in my experience it’s been the best for finding good g/t content.
