Being Smoothysmooth has been fun. I've made some friends through tumblr and even if we don't all talk like we use to anymore it still means the world to me. Steven Universe and the fandom helped me through a dark time in my life. And though I won't be deleting this blog I've decided to just kinda stop. Restart. I'm going to make a new tumblr, something private to start with again. Something more personal and from my heart. I asked that you please not break my heart. But it's been broken. And I realize it needs now to be broken a few times for me to grow as a person. Goodbye

One of the many things I really like about Last One Out of Beach City is that the singer at the show is an actual IRL musician! The rock music in the episode is by artist Mike Krol, and he appears as himself as the lead in the band.

It’s cute to imagine Amethyst rifling around in her room, considering each of her hoarded phone cases and going, “Nah, this one’s not Pearl-y enough…” I wonder where she even got them?? Amethyst is such an enigma. I fuckin’ love her. I could sketch her all day, every day.

i’m not against vaping, but man, vaping two inches from my face on the subway is a ridiculous asshole kind of move. this dude was billowing like he was auditioning for the role of haunted house fog machine. the humidity in the whole car changed, he was ruining haircuts. just jump starting the water cycle. condensation was dripping down my glasses. people were slipping off poles, it was chaos. it was like watching one man try to terraform the moon. a planet with one dense, root beer scented atmosphere blocking out the sun and choking all life.

man i just love the steven universe character who started off as a jerk

but was revealed to be very vulnerable and anxious after a few episodes

so steven stuck around and they slowly began to show a different, more confident side

but then, they were faced with their biggest fears and didn’t want to fight them

and no matter how much steven encouraged them and boosted their confidence…

in the end, it didn’t work

and they found themselves stranded in space

but then, they bravely sacrificed themselves for their friends, even if it resulted in them dying and being resurrected by steven
