⭐️ Display "Store Specific Order Number" on Pickup Screen rather than current SMRT Order Number.
When “picking up” orders from SMRT you’ll see the store specific order numbers instead of the SMRT order number.

Now when setting “Timeframes” for routes you’ll be able to select specific days of the week.
You can find this change by going into “Settings”>” Delivery”>” Routes”>” Select the Route”>” Add Time Slot”

July 2021 Release Notes ☀️
System Improvements / Additions
When using the Summarize by Billing Code setting on statements the guest name and room number / employee information now displays on the Item Details section of statements.
Added a setting for delivery manifests to summarize order information instead of listing full details.
Improved Will Call Opt-In Text so that the text is still sent when a customer has an active order if the order’s due date is in the future.
Added a dropdown filter for Brand everywhere the Agent dropdown filter exists.
Bulk Markin Feature - Select Bulk Markin from the station options in the top right corner. In this module you can scan heat seals for different customers and when you finish the system will create orders with the items you scan for each customer.
Improved Search Scan Hierarchy
Route Manager now shows customers with unvalidated addresses at lat/long 0,0 for easy identification.
Enabled the address override feature in the Route Manager.
Added support for Canadian 6 digit postal codes.
Improved System & Cloud Security
Added ability to set a customer discount or promotion via our API.

April 2021 Release Notes 🍃
Login & Clock In - You can now set PIN codes for employees to log in and clock in when not remotely accessing the system. Any keyboard scanner can now be used to login or clock in with a badge.
KPIS - Added YTD and Last Year Sales to Customer KPIs & Customer Statistics screen and improved the KPI editor UI.
Sales Tax - Added the ability to set up a tax rule that only applies for specific routes and stores in addition the the department and zip code rules that already exist.
Ready Notification - Ready notification is now based on return location. So if a route customer has an order to pick up in store they’ll receive a text when it’s ready. This is helpful for when you need a route customer to schedule the delivery of a specific order as the link in their text will let them schedule a delivery for active orders.
Routes - We’ve added a setting that allows you to lock the stop order of a route after manually optimizing. This is useful when you optimize a route and don’t want any new stops to trigger the automatic optimization.
Metal Progetti 24/7 - Fixed a rare issue where the customer would have to log back in to pickup their orders after dropping off.
International Updates - Improved search to handling international phone formats, added support for different currency denominations, Auth.net gateway improvements for card on file.
Misc Improvements: - Multiple code releases prepping for chip reader support. - Alphabetize route lists throughout the system - Ability to void gift card credits - Added employee name and created time to assembly tickets for customers not using heatseals - Improved search for names containing special characters - Multiple bugfixes

Spring 2021 Release Notes 🌱
Delivery 🚚
Opt-In Text Reminders. We added the ability to text will call customers asking them if they have anything to pickup. If they reply yes we automatically add them to the route. This feature can be enabled by route and has 2 options for frequency.
Locker-Route Settings. You can now lock specific lockers to a specific route so whenever someone uses those lockers their pickup/delivery is on your selected route. Alternatively, you can set system to pick the best route based on the day and proximity of other stops.
Schedule From Delivery App! Drivers can now add pickups from the delivery app for customers that communicate with them directly while the driver is running their route.
Customer Specific Timeframes. Will Call customers with specific timeframes set up in their route settings now sync to the one time stop scheduler when manually creating a new pickup or delivery.
Subscriptions & Promotions 💸
Promotions. We’ve rewritten our entire promotions system with a ton of improvements including configurations like BOGOs, variable discounts by department, timeframes, etc. More to come on this specifically.
Subscriptions! With the new promotion system comes the ability to sell monthly discounts (subscriptions) and have the charge reoccur every month on the day they signed up for the subscription. You can sell WnF subscriptions obviously, but with our feature you can also sell Dry Cleaning, Laundry, and Household subscriptions. 
Settings ⚙️
Assembly Categories UI. You can now customize the automatic assembly splitting categories for MP and Assisted Assembly. Previously support had to facilitate requests. For companies tagging, this also gives you max per department auto-splits.
Alteration Categories UI. If you want to separate your alteration into more specific categories check out the Alteration Categories section of Detailing & Pricing. Once a category is created you can assign alterations to it from the pricelist.
Customer Fields UI. Ever wanted to add a field for license plate, birthday, assistant’s instagram, etc.? With the new Customer Fields UI you can add any new attribute to the customer profile, customer portal profile, POS sign up, and customer portal sign up!
Upcharge by Unit Setting. On each item there is now a setting that enables/disables the multiplication of upcharges. So for example, if you have a Tablecloth by the foot item and you want to charge a $3 lace upcharge, you would disable the upcharge by unit setting so that you don’t multiple the lace upcharge by the number of feet.
Length x Width. Item prices can now be determined by 2 inputs like length x width. This value can be printed on tags and receipts. This setting is by item type.
Misc 
Metal Progetti 24/7. SMRT now works with current and legacy MP 24/7 Kiosks.
Flags Print on Tickets. Press Only, Alter Only, and Reject print on the tickets & receipts.
Autopay & Route Display. When viewing a customer the customer’s autopay and route settings now display more prominently and are visible without entering the customer settings.
KPIs. Added order and item notes to the the Item KPIs, reorganized the view of some KPI settings.

Delivery
When opening the customer delivery scheduler, SMRT now preselects the next appointment based on the customer’s route settings. Alternatively, you can still open the calendar to select a different day.

This allows for the manifest to be used on a route that runs multiple times a day.

Assembly
Associated items are now kept together on order split. Anyone with autosplit at detailing enabled can now associate items that are in different assembly categories and they will remain together.
Very useful for operators with MP Assembly or multiple assembly bays. For example if you want a Route Bag to stay with an order of shirts but the bag is in the Dry Cleaning category you can now associate the bag to a shirt and the items will stay together.

Restricted printing of order’s ticket in the ​Folding & Bagging page to only allow one print per scan. 
Metalprogetti Assembly
Added ability for route specific agents to unload on specific MP assembly arms. This is available in the Assembly => Configure MP Rack screen.
Added ability to specify SplitUp Conveyor unload arm by agent. Only relevant if you have this MP unit.

Added ability to use the additional 13 MP fields for receipts in the MP bagger template.
Added surcharge fields to the MP bagger template. 
This allows for surcharges such as rush and environmental fee to display on the first ticket (A). The total of the first ticket (A) now always includes the price of all surcharges on the order.
Payment System
After manually bulk generating statements in the accounting module, money moves from 'Current' to '1-30' immediately instead of overnight.
Fixed the date format in the Accounting page after generating bulk documents to display mm/dd/yy.
Chat messaging system
Customer’s “Driver instructions” are now included in the "Pickup scheduled" chat notifications.

Added first five customer return dates (store pickup / delivery) the the customer KPI Reports. 
This allows you to report on the first few times a customer gets an order back so you can reach out and make sure they are happy with the service.
Updated copy of date options in the report editor to be more intuitive.
Added filter for  “new sign up” by “CSR” to the Customer KPI Reports.
Added columns for “source”, “employee”, and “merchant”: to the Credit Card Transaction Revenue list.

Improved the Employee password security policy to reject passwords containing name, email and/or common terms. In addition passwords are now checked against blacklists for security.
Changed the "sq. ft" field for the word "units" in the item type settings to allow for more use cases.

Order Tickets
- New receipt design with,

Removed "return stop", now we only show the static stop number.
- Added a Receipt Footer feature which allows you to add any custom text at the bottom of every order ticket. 
- 🐛Fixed issue where an item’s barcode wouldn’t print if added after closing the order
Delivery
- Added ability to support multiple same day delivery appointments by showing all ready bags in the load list at all times and displaying the “Not Ready” banner if a same day order is still in process. 
Previously, bags wouldn't show in the load list if the first appointment for a customer was marked completed/missed. Similarly, same day orders would not trigger a warning.
- Moved door code above stop number in customer route settings.
- Added a Cleaning Instructions field to POS delivery scheduler.
- Added ability to allow for same day delivery scheduling for Will-Call customers after the pickup has been marked completed.

- Enabled bag tag scanning in delivery app for legacy software bag tags.
- Added ability to have a different logo for thermal receipts and your website and statements. This is useful if your logo is light in color and doesn’t display well on thermal receipts.   Contact support to configure.
- Added ability to create a customer without a first name.
- Racking the last bag you scanned will now show at the top of the list.
- Added a notes input in quick detailing.
- Added ability to enable surcharges with variable pricing. So rather than having a fixed fee for rush or biohazard, you can enter a custom amount.
- Added ability to set surcharges to be tax exempt. Contact support for help configuring surcharges.
- Added ability to display all the notes for an order in the Order KPIs

Gift Cards:
- Added KPI Report Builder for all Gift Card transactions.
- Added default reports for gift cards:
1. Gift Card Audit Trail: This report shows the entire history of any given card. From activation to zero balance.
2. Gift Card Liability: The total liability held in the system at any given time.
3. Gift Cards Sold: Shows the amount of any gift card sold in a given time period.
4. Gift Cards Redemption: Shows used gift cards and amounts.
- Removed ability to pay for gift cards with store credits, or other gift card credits. Prepayment/Overpayment credits can be used however.
- When redeeming a gift card during payment, by default only redeem the amount due from the card, leaving as much money on the card as possible so another person can use it.
- Restricted redemption of a gift card until the gift card order is paid.
ClothesTracker:
- Improve load time of ClothesTracker.
- Improved error message when scanning a bad promotion barcode
- Automatically purge overdue undetailed orders. This feature will delete undetailed orders if they're several days past their due date and creation date. This cleans up your lot manager and helps autopay when orders are left by accident, as autopay doesn't run if there's unfinished orders due same day as ready orders.
- If item is set to REJECT, do not charge for alterations.
- Added a setting for restricting access to the Discounts dropdown in customer profile.
Cash Box:
- Before cashbox is closed, you can now only print the X-report, never the Z-report.
- Add check payments to the cash box summary totals.
Inventory System:
- New UI to manage the new detailing lots.
- Ability to use temporary tags with the folding & bagging module.
Delivery:
- Fix issues where the delivery app could sometimes fail for a newly setup route.
- Use the customer's defined route for invoices even if they have a one time delivery or pickup scheduled before their next regular route stop.
Customer Portal:
- There are now settings for disabling each of the individual customer website tabs. Tabs can be disabled on a brand / group / customer level also.
- Updated button title from Next Item to Next Photo for mail order customers in scheduler.
- Pickup confirmation PDF is sent to customer main email address if they are a mail order customer. If no main email is set the email will be sent to the billing email.
KPI Reports:
- Added Production Analysis KPI suite. Please contact support if you'd like to enable these.
- Added fourth and fifth visit info to customer KPIs.
- KPI reports API endpoint for .csv download. Useful for excel automations.
- Added option for grouping order KPI reports by customer account. This lets you create "top spender last month" reports among others.
Misc:
- Allow emails with ' in it. Allows you to email someone like john.o'[email protected]
- The 16 digit "Ref: .." field in payment receipts now always starts with a 9, so it can no longer be mistaken for a credit card number.
- Do not allow deactivation of master account, you must now first remove all members and then convert the account to a regular account before you can deactivate it.
- Handle incoming email attachments bigger than 2MB.
Dev:
- Improve stability of photo system.
- Add autopay terms batching orders on the 8th & 23rd.

Ability to restrict who can issue store credit. Ability to customize logo size on receipts. Added restriction to auto-text messaging between the hours of 9am - 8:59pm only.
Tax:
Ability to charge tax on an address specific level. Previously configured by Zip Code.
Cash Drawer:
Ability to print an X-Report (preview before closing) from the cash drawer.
Delivery:
“New One-time Stop” button in delivery scheduler will stay locked on the screen as you scroll through pickup/delivery log. Ability to find sub accounts under the master stop in load list, previously only showed the master. Ability to scan bag tag to create a new order upon pick up.
POS:
Ability to pickup orders on sub delivery accounts directly from the sub account. Previous configuration required to pickup from master account. 
Ability to update credit card expiration date only. Previously whole credit card number input was required. Auto assign system user to a message ticket when replying to a customer.  Ability to use special characters in employee’s profile first and last name. Ability to redeem gift cards padded with zeroes at the end. Ability to receive attachments over email (inline images and other files).

Decoding Your Credit Card Processing Statement
You got a statement in the mail and promptly gave it to your accountant or filed it away.  It’s time to face your fears this Halloween season. Let’s review your processing statement.  
What should you be looking for on your statement?
Your daily deposits - so you can reconcile your bank account.
Your Total Fees - How much did you really pay?
Where can I save some money?
Summary (Processing Summary / Card Summary)
A quick glance at how much you processed over the last month by transaction count and volume subdivided by card brands (Visa, MasterCard, Discover and AMEX) in a table format.  There will also be an accounting for refunds and chargebacks. I’ve seen fees tucked up in here labeled as “discount” with a percentage rate.
Deposits / Deposit Summary
A report of the deposits from your batch settlements and the day they settled.  There are two settlement types in the business, daily discount or monthly settlement.  On the daily discount, the processor will take their fees out daily before your deposit.  On the monthly settlement you will receive a monthly withdrawal from your bank account. Most people prefer Monthly Settlement, for simplicity in accounting.  Some processors charge a flat rate or percentage fee for providing monthly settlement.

This is where things can get really confusing.  Of course this is by design. Now days you need to be a forensic accountant, or have a masters degree in credit card processing to get through understanding what is a real cost and what is not.  Keep an eye out for my next post where I’ll list 5 100% unnecessary fees and where to find them on a statement. The good news is you can find the total fees at the bottom of your statement.
