extremely specific trope that im obsessed with a character who struggles with feelings of self worth for whatever reason clinging to some romanticized archetypal pop culture hero (gun-slinging cowboys who stop the unjust, fairytale knights in shining armor, scrappy rebel outlaws who always have a witty quip up their sleeve, superheros who are beacons of hope, ect) and then they start basing their aesthetic and mannerisms around that ideal, they make themselves feel strong by becoming the hero that never truly came to save them, the hero that can't really exist

Here's some fun Teen Titans redesigns I did for the heck of it. I'm still working on Blackfire, and I am hoping to get around to some of the others. I know the roster of characters I have right now doesn't make any particular type of sense. But I just started drawing the characters that I like to draw and let it grow from there :)

went to an elementaryschool musical production and they started the show with the director saying: "Now there's some very small viewers here today, so just so you know. There will be a scary character later in the show. This is her," and a girl in a kinda scary ghost outfit did a creepy walk across the stage, the stood up straight and did a cheery wave, "but remember, it's just Nina. She's pretending to be scary."

Aaaand i would very much like for horror movies to have that as a little bonus feature you can chose. Let me start a movie with Guillermo del Toro showing me a scary ghost that might jump at me, but don't worry, thats just Doug!
