Instincts are Real....

Trust and Believe

Being in a crowd, feeling alone, or misunderstood. Do you walk away? bury your pride and engage with a different crowd? or accept reality that you don’t blend. 

Sometimes expressing your relevance about life, challenges and insight, silences sceptics, critics, and doubters. Social isolation becomes normal, muted nights are adapted. Tik Tok, Facebook and Instagram captivates our time, yet remaining empty, somewhat entertained and constantly searching. Television, has almost became a past time, unless there’s “Breaking News, or Program Alerts” on local or national news stations i.e. CNN News.

Otherwise we're fondling with our remotes searching for the latest flicks on our Amazon Fire Stick, Netflix, Hulu, or relaxing to Pandora music. These are the  the creative influences that replace family gatherings, conversations with friends, romantic dates and outings with roommates.

Social engagement has dwindled because of fear, rejection, inflation, racial divide and Covid 19, and now Monkey Pox. Friends become distant, family shy’s away and grocery clerks are shielded by a plastic barrier, that reminds you of an Lab Tech.

The streets remind you of a war zone; (empty, hollow, boarded, road rage, random drive-by shootings and unsurety.) Nodding of heads, is the new normal “Hello.”

Bandannas in every color, ski masks, and scarves has become the fashionista of the millennials. Conspiracy theories are rumored that 5G Towers are planted to eliminate people. While other theories say the Government had carried out this massacre to reduce the population growth. Other rumors speculate this is China’s revenge on US soil.

Maybe we are not looking inward, what have we forgot in the midst of this crisis? How to love, respect, acknowledge and be kind to each other.

If you’re thinking about someone, odds are they need to hear your voice. Saying a kind word to a stranger may brighten their day. A warm smile may encourage another to feel happy. Without any reservations, try paying for someone else's gas at the pump. (If you can afford to do so.) Or perhaps taking a extra Starbucks coffee to your co-worker. Offer to pay for a strangers lunch/dinner. 

Not only will they be surprised, you will feel better about your generosity. If your instincts, and you have that feeling in your gut to do a kind gesture.....Do It! Without any reservations!!!

Justice for all

Many questions are left unanswered regarding the day Breonna Taylor was killed. At what point did the police officers realize there was an innocent person in the midst of the chaos? After she was killed numerous posts surfaced stating she wasn’t innocent. Establishing justification to kill someone based on character assassination is not only a reflection of vindictiveness, obscurity, but pure hatred.

 Racial injustice has been around, swept under the rugs and marginalized for centuries. We are in a critical space to have needed dialogue about biased justice for people of color, sexism and social/political unrest.

Are police officers abusing their authority? I would say yes, history continues to repeat itself. Protect and serve doesn’t mean “shoot first and ask questions later.”

Scared, Dared or Feared? Money is low, food is dwindling, limitations are issued on necessary paper goods. Embrace social distancing that can Save your life. Reopening Barber shops, Beauty salons, Nail salons, Theaters, and Malls are necessary because? Stay-at-home! 

Embrace and Focus your quiet time. There’s purpose in the midst.
