Happy Earth Day! Attention all PG&E customers! It's easy to do your part by switching all or part of your electricity bill to PG&E's Solar Choice. You don't need solar panels or anything else, as they will buy solar energy on your behalf to power their grid. All you do is tell them what percentage of your electricity you want from solar. I've gone 100% solar, what will you commit to?

A bizarre case indeed! What are your thoughts? If it hadn't been for the inappropriate diagnosis, I might have thought the punishment was excessive, but you can't mess around with a medical record.

Thanks to everyone who attended the Becker’s conference last week. Here’s a picture of me showing off the brand new HSTpathways EHR and the response I was received!

Hats off to whoever negotiated that contract! The only thing that is truly absurd is that the payer didn't have a problem with it.

He, working for the March of Dimes, created a vaccine that changed the world, and they didn't seek to make a penny from it. In the words of Salk himself "The people, [own the patent] I would say ... Could you patent the sun?” Thank you Jonas Salk and the March of Dimes, for your great contribution to humanity!

Yes, I love TED talks and this one is a couple years old but still a good one. It's great to see technologies that focus on reducing cost and providing healthcare to those that need it the most. This anesthesia machine is a fantastic example.
What if you're in surgery and the power goes out? No lights, no oxygen -- and your anesthesia stops flowing. It happens constantly in hospitals throughout the world, turning routine procedures into tragedies. Erica Frenkel demos one solution: the universal anesthesia machine.

What we can do with technology is near limitless. The implications that projects such as these have for medical students, among other things, are fantastic.
An incredible video of the human form in three dimensions.
