ARTFIGHT 2025 BEGINS

ANTIHEROIC

Antiheroic is one of a few of my different personal projects I've been working on. I started work on it a month and 3 years ago today, actually- May 19th 2022! Happy (belated!!!) Antiheroiciversary!

It is set in the modern day in a city named Riversfield, a beautiful city largely surrounded by water. The four protagonists are all very much societal outcasts in their own unique ways, looking to unearth some of the darker secrets looming around the city for each of their own purposes... Though it's modern day it's also very sci-fi! They have loads of funky gadgets and tech that they'll use throughout the comic 🫶

Here I will give you a rundown of the main 4 here >:)

SALT:

Salt is the no-nonsense vigilante type of the group, and technicallyyyy the leader.. He's serious and likes to keep up an air of mystery about him. He's here to get things done, not to make friends. (But he might get a little attached anyway, we'll see)... He's a skilled gunman and fairly well rounded in combat in general. He's gonna probably get a redesign relatively soon so don't get too attached HAHA

SQUEAKY:

Squeaky is the hacker type of the group and pretty excellent at what she does. A dropout computer science major and pretty skilled with tech in general, she handles most of the gadgets and penetrating technical obstacles that the group encounters on their adventures. She's a little anxious and shy but full of determination to get things done. She has...some ulterior motives that drive her to help the group sometimes. Has a berner puppy named Maple!

RIPTIDE:

The major wildcard and most outright evil one of the group...but also the silliest. Riptide is the mad scientist type who is obsessed with water. Just the entire concept of water. Rather than being a pyromaniac, he's a hydromaniac! He's just the tiniest bit hellbent on getting revenge on someone who wronged him before he turned to his life of silly crime, but usually uses his intellect to totally harmlessly terrorize the city for fun. He loves playing on his Xbox 360 when it's not broken. Very inclined towards his silly gadgets and loves his pet Piranha, Larry.

VANDELA:

Vandela is a strange little street artist with an affinity for "the abstract", or just confusing people. Her personality consists of being hard to read and nonsensical at every possible opportunity, but she's simultaneously very down to earth underneath her exterior. She's very smart and wise but usually acts like she isn't. She's pretty anti-establishment and open with her friends about her life, but believes life is more about having fun than being serious all the time. Her role in the group is being the one to cause distractions.

It's very early on in development right now, but after Marker/Solar Opposites (one of my next comics I will be introducing soon) is completed, this will be one of the next two I'll work on!

I figured it might be good to actually make an introductory post on here in case anyone new finds me and is unfamiliar with my work (and also I just want to)

HII!!! I am Snickers.

I'm a cartoonist, character designer and (mostly) digital artist. I'm also trying my best to become more of a storyteller :D Even though I mostly do digital, I also like to sketch a lot on paper and experiment with other mediums every once in awhile. I'm also multifandom (I think this is the term) and may drop some fanart every once in awhile for the things I'm into at the moment ;)

I'm working on a whole bunch of different passion projects- including:

The one with bugs living in a post-apocalyptic (maybe still a little present-apocalyptic) world

The silly and also slightly upsetting one with the criminals and the sci-fi and the found family stuff

The horrible medicine-based dystopian society led by a robot

The absurd one that refuses to take itself seriously: fantasy(ish) RPG based on a Minecraft map I made like 7 years ago

AND LOTS OF OTHER RANDOM SILLY GUYS NOT ATTACHED TO THESE PROJECTS!! Including some fan characters for projects by my friends!

I post a little more consistently on my other platforms (especially Instagram) if you want to check out any of my other socials too!

I also take commissions which I'll post about in a separate post (this one is already pretty long)

NEW OC DROP(S)!! These two are more Isle Aurielle one because I am crazy and obsessed and deranged 🫶 This is Candy and Crush Nestle! (Unfortunate naming convention, they don't have candy crush in their universe I promise) They're a lil brother and sister candy-themed duo!

Candy works at the local grocery store Aisle Aurielle (brand name pending) with her friend Cadet and is friends with North who is a regular shopper. She lives up to her name pretty well and always has lots of candy on hand that she likes to pass out to her friends and just people she comes across! She's also a little bit of a cryptid enthusiast and likes hearing about and perpetuating the rumors about the scribbleman and other lurky creatures a lot 🫶

As for Crush... he is Candy's younger, stupid brother. He's a nice and silly guy but also decided it'd be cool to take up a job being an assassin for some reason??? So that's something he does. Quite poorly, but he tries it. He was trained by (and works in the same group with) Melsie, our #1 assassin girly!! She kind of can't stand him and thinks he's a moron. His claim to fame (infamy, more) among the other assassins is how he made a wish at the magic fountain on the island and traded his left eye for "a cooler weapon" like he wished for. This earned him the nickname Depth Perception 🫶 He's also relatively handy with building things oddly enough!

They're a silly little duo I've been developing and I've enjoyed working on them a lot so far!!! Candy has no idea about any of Crush's assassin business stuff although he is pretty bad about casually mentioning it in front of her - she just brushes it off as his usual weirdness. Which...why wouldn't you, right?

I haven't posted on here in like 3 months but we are so back I'm gonna start trying to post WAYYY more often on here now!!

I previously said I was gonna start introducing all my projects which I'm going to officially start doing soon! I have a few more Isle Aurielle OCs to introduce first and some art to post of them, but after that >:0 ohoho it is so on

I love Wandersong!! It's a very silly and ... *mostly* light-hearted game about the end of the universe, starring a bard who can talk to and calm ghosts through (fairly easy) games of Simon + rhythm games.

Highlights: - Silly, chaotic characters - Grumpy + cheerful duo - Sweet story - Made me cry

Upcoming plans for this blog

Just a little update on my plans for what I'm gonna do with this blog next (kinda half writing this out so I know what my plan is also and I'm held accountable LOL):

I am trying to work on infrastructural stuff on all my projects to get some of the super basics out for you guys (and for myself) so then I can start really digging in-depth about these projects and working on them more thoroughly! We're gonna be going in just alphabetical order, so first up will be Antiheroic, then the bugs, etc. There should be about 7 projects and a bunch of character intros for each - hopefully with a bunch of unique art in them too!

Gonna try to lock in and do some cool stuff for each of them if all goes well... I just wanna use this as an excuse to give all my guys a little more attention. This project will take place over the course of the next WHILE I think. Because I am slow. But hopefully it'll be fun!!

After all that I'm gonna finally choose what project to try to focus on developing once I've got all the essential stuff laid out flat. Though it's kinda just between the bugs and Solar Opposites right now (you'll know what that means later)
