I snap out of a stupor and somehow another gw2 poll has been posted on my blog with no recollection of how it got there

now I know WHY they didn't do it. but it would be extraordinarily funny if, during the dragon cycle, the commander had absolutely nothing to do with the death of one of the dragons. like, canonically we are batting 100 here, we are 6 for 6 on involvement in elder dragon death. but imagine if at the end of PoF we got back to Kryta and Braham was like "I did it boss I killed jormag off-screen while you were in elona 🙂"

I think that story that is "skippable" should also necessarily be "easily summarized". of course a lot of people saying soto here but (especially with revelations in the recent JW additions) I believe that soto was used as a foundation for future development. of course now that the dragon cycle is complete it is easier to look back and see that lws3 for example is more important than I may have originally given it credit for. I think that lws2 is more skippable than soto because I can essentially summarize it as "acquire egg, caithe steal egg, mordie awake", whereas an attempt to reasonably cogently summarize soto would be much less brief. I have some amount of faith that Anet is using Soto as a launch point for the future because of the sheer quantity of narrative detritus within it that could be looped into future stories. this is just my own take on what it means to be "skippable" though and I'm loving reading all the responses to this :3
