As much as I love episode 6 for developing Jax's character and exploring why he does the things he does, I love EVEN MORE how it does so without excusing the things he's done and the impact they've had, especially on Gangle.

As you can see clearly here, his constant bullying of Gangle has had a horrible impact on her mental health and emotional well-being, so much that she fears that she's going to do something terrible to her JUST BECAUSE SHE DIDN'T PARTNER WITH THE PERSON CONSTANTLY TORMENTING THEM!!!!

Jax has understandable (and even sympathetic) reasons why he's being hurtful to others, and it's clear that he's doing so because he's hurting himself and that his hurtful attitude is a facade to hide his own pain and insecurities. But while he certainly deserves a chance to heal from the hurt he's experiencing, that doesn't mean that he shouldn't be held accountable for the hurt he's inflicted!

Jax rant since TADC episode 6 is out yippee!!!

THIS IS NOT HATE TOWARDS JAX AS A CHARACTER OR TO THE CREATORS OF THE SHOW!!! This is simply my opinion on him as a character

Also, spoilers :)

Jax as a character is so fucking intriguing to me. like. I love him but I also hate him.

And what i find interesting is that this is the episode where it is revealed that he is simply just an asshole

he has issues! hell, everyone does but he is COMPLETELY aware of what he is doing. This is the guy that regularly breaks Gangle's happy mask, jokes about Ragatha telling Gangle to kill herself, drops Ragatha in the deep fryer, and is so insanely rude to everyone, both physically and mentally.

and yeah. yeah i feel bad for him. yeah i feel bad that he had what looks like an anxiety attack and that he seems to be the closest character so far to abstracting. but he is still, at his core, a shitty fucking person

but the overall point is, unless HE takes accountability and changes as a character? i'm not going to fully ever like him

and i do like him! i think he's really interesting and he's gotten what feels like depth, but he's still missing growth. And I'm hoping that they won't just let him off with no consequences, though I doubt that will happen.

Also Pomni beating the shit out of Jax was funny as hell.

Things you can watch/do instead of YouTube, For those who may have trouble finding things to do.

1. Internet Archive. Has plenty of videos to watch, plenty of games you can play that are emulated right on the website. You can also find entire collections of roms. For emulators, check out Emulation General Wiki to find the best emulator for the system you want to emulate.

2. r/piracy has a wiki full of safe places to read comics and manga, to watch anime and cartoons, and to watch movies.

3. Virtualbox, you can set up a Windows XP virtual box and get old PC games from Internet Archive. You can also check out CD Game World if you need a no-cd patch.

4. Saltybet. A Livestream of MUGEN with thousands of characters fighting against each other, sometimes things get hilarious. Runs 24/7.

5. The Cutting Room Floor, spend hours reading up on cut content from your favorite games.

6. Lost Media Wiki, read up on lost movie, books, animation, video games, etc.

7. Neocities, learn coding and make your own website!

8. WebDSR, explore shortband radio

9. Radio Garden, listen to radio stations from around the world

10. Every Noise At Once, explore the widest archive of music genres, with samples and Spotify playlists

11. My Retro TV, pick and era and watch popular television from that time period
