For a girl that loved the snow so much, and had an ice manipulating sister, it was a little ironic Anna couldn't ice skate. But she hadn't tried since she was a child, holding her big sister's hand as they circled the frozen ponds. Everything she had learned back then was long forgotten. But she would figure it out, and she was confident when she did, she would be excellent at it. There was just the matter of getting to that point.

Her eyes lighting up at his offer, she stood up straighter, squared her shoulders, ready to take this challenge on. "We can do three laps, I won't fall. I'm as graceful as a swan out here." The words were barely out of her lips before she was slipping, fingernails digging into his arm to steady herself, a sheepish grin on her lips once she was sure she had avoided landing on her butt. "That didn't count. The laps hadn't started yet!"

he catches her eyes , the smile on her features enough to have the apples of his cheeks flushing ( that and how frigid the rink was. no matter how used to the cold was , his cheeks and nose always got red from it ) . his reflexes kick in to catch her once more , ensuring anna remained on her skates as he let her hold his bicep captive in order to keep her balance .

" i am letting you practice properly , " he titled his head , raising his brows as if to say her clumsiness was cause itself for the delay in twirling . " we're still working on making a full lap without wobbling . what kind of coach would i be if i set you up to get hurt ?? " then , too weak of a man to deny anna , even if it were for her own good , kristoff held out his arm for her to take once more . " c'mon , let's do another lap . if you don't fall , i'll THINK about letting you twirl . "

Anna glared at the man as she was whisked away, staring at him over her shoulder with a try me scowl, but she knew well enough to let it go. She didn't really want to fight him. But the nerve of that man!

"No problem," she promised, finally turning her eyes back to Nani as they made it to the doorway. She was glad she'd been there. "You don't owe me! It was the right thing to do. Besides, that... butthead has it coming. I hope someone puts him in his place!"

Nani yanked on her arm, heart pounding. Usually she'd haul off and punch someone who dared put their hands on her, but the gazes their interaction was drawing didn't instill much confidence that anyone would back her up.

Relief flooded her when Anna marched back. The man let her arm go, glaring, but not interested enough to run the risk of her threats being true.

Nani looped her arm through Anna's, hurrying her toward the door once again.

"Thanks for saving me again," she chuckled, about four octaves higher than usual. Her head was aching.

"I really owe you one now."

She had to sink her teeth into her bottom lip to stop laughter from spilling out before the punchline, steadying herself with a deep breath. "No! No, a sheep covered in chocolate is a candy baa." Then it was safe to laugh, and she was thumbing tears away from underneath her eye after a few seconds; it didn't matter how many times she heard or told a joke, they could always make her laugh again. If they were good enough. "Get it? A candy... baa?"

It wasn't uncommon for Tambry to drop in unannounced at Anna's chocolate shop. The redhead was pretty much a walking goldmine for content; at least Tambry's audience certainly thought so. Anna was one of the more frequently asked about characters in the vlog comments. It didn't matter if she was being clumsy, showing off her chocolate creations or... telling cringe-worthy jokes. Tambry adjusted her phone, propping it up against the counter so the camera could capture both of them in the frame. "What? A sheep covered in— do you get these jokes off Reddit or something? I don't know... dessert for a wolf?"

Oh. Oh! Oh no. He was cute. Anna was sure her face was now flaming a shade of red brighter than her hair, breath catching in her throat as she drank him in. Perhaps she could have left a good impression if she'd greeted him instead of walking right into him, but now that was out the window. Or was it? He flashed a dazzling smile, and her cheeks only grew warmer. Was he cute and understanding? Swoon.

Feeling her heart fluttering in her ribcage, Anna silently ordered it to chill out, her gaze flickering from him to the hand on her arm, then back to his smile as it was removed. It was just a drink, just one drink. Plenty of guys had bought her drinks! Okay, maybe not plenty. And definitely not any that were so young... and handsome... "That's so sweet of you," she spoke after a moment, hoping her voice didn't sound as squeaky as it felt, trying to look more coy than starstruck as she forced her wide eyes away from his face. She had made enough of a fool of herself already, the last thing she needed to do was stick her foot in her mouth now. "How about... I'll let you buy me a glass," she offered, as if she were doing him a favor, "if you'll tell me your name?"

Hans enjoyed a good glass of wine as much as the next respectable person did, but being invited to go wine tasting wasn't something he necessarily would jump to do. Despite that he had an image to upkeep and being seen in a wine bar and taking a few photos would be great for his Instagram page. The 'friends' he was out with were as dull as ever and Hans knew he needed more than just the bottle they had finished to get him through the night. He stood from where they sat and made his way to the bar when on his way a redhead bumped straight into him. Hans was about to make a snarky comment until his eyes fell on the face of the culprit. He knew Anna's face and had his sights set on her for a while. Nothing could have made this moment more perfect.

Hans smiled and was quick to help the woman keep her balance. "No damage done," he said softly. "A white lie here or there never hurt anyone much." He let his arms fall when he was certain she could stand. Perhaps his hands had lingered on her arms a little too long. "I think it's fair to blame the wine tonight. I was just on my way to the bar. Let me buy you a glass."

Anna was glad she didn't object, worried about the woman despite not knowing her at all. She was a bleeding heart, and she would want someone to look after her if she was alone here tonight... like she was, but that was besides the point.

She wasted no time hurrying out either, pulling her coat tighter, making a beeline towards the door until she realized Nani was not following. Turning to see the man speaking to her, she frowned, spontaneity outweighing her survival instinct. Didn't it always?

"Hey! Get your grubby hands off her!" She demanded, marching back to where the other woman stood. "I have a knife, and pepper spray, and I'm not afraid to use them... simultaneously!"

Nani looked around, clocking the glances come her way, skin crawling.

"Yeah, you're on the right track." She gathered up her stuff, feeling guilty for dashing before the waiter returned, but needing to get out of the hazy room, feel the clean air in her lungs and sort out exactly what she was doing.

"Come on, let's go," she urged, nudging Anna out of the booth and ushering her towards the door.

Her heart about jumped from her chest as a large hand closed around her bicep, turning her into a wave of hot, disgusting breath and a leer.

"Where you running off to, sweetheart?"

"I told you I was!" So pleased at the compliment, if it could even be called that, she looked over to beam at him, causing her to teeter off balance again. "Um . . . it's a process." Releasing her clutch on his arm that had stopped her from faceplanting, her mouth fell agape. "Wait to twirl? How long? That's the whole point, Kristoff! How am I EVER going to get any better if you don't let me practice properly?"

arms slipped under anna's that had flown out at her sides , cradling beneath and hoisting up to keep her from collapsing atop a blanket of solid water . " easy easy !! " kristoff laughed , only removing his arms to balance his hands atop the princess's shoulders . " even after all these years , you're still , , , you know what ?? you're getting better . let's just wait to try twirling until we've mastered the basics , okay ?? "

Anna wasn't much of a drinker, but the moment she heard that there was a new chocolate wine downtown, she was set up for failure. It wasn't her fault, really. She didn't drink enough to know how much was too much, and it tasted so good... she was a few glasses too deep before she realized it, her head spinning as she made her way back to the bar, tripping on her own two feet... right into the chest of someone else. "Oh, gosh, I'm sorry," she was quick to apologize without looking up, attempting to regain her balance, "so sorry, I'm not usually this clumsy... well, no, that's a lie, actually, I'm sorry, I shouldn't lie... but I am going blame the wine tonight, just because I can!"

"Please! I have a few friends to buy for, still." Including Rapunzel, but she wouldn't be purchasing her gift with the other by her side ; she would, however, be paying attention to the items the blonde's eyes lingered on a little longer, mentally making a shopping list to come back for another day.

Usually an overly positive person, Anna was finding it a little difficult to embrace the holidays with wide open arms. She always missed her own mother and father, but now she missed her sister, too, and could only hope Elsa was having a good Christmas . . . wherever she was. Without her. "We can take twenty more laps," she offered, taking a beat to push the sad thoughts down, "I'll shop until I get frostbite!"

with a wide spread grin , rapunzel plopped into the seat beside her friend ( as opposed to the one opposite her ) , nuzzling her shoulder into anna's as she nursed her mug of herbal tea . " never ever , " she sing-songed in agreement , jack frost's embrace present on the tip of her chill-bit nose and cherry red cheeks .

turning eagerly to her friend , raps grinned ; " we must do another walk around the market , " the blonde insisted , despite the fact the pair had already walked it three times . " — at least one more walk . i still haven't found the perfect gift for my mother yet , , , so make sure to get a hot chocolate to go , too . "

"You're gonna love this one," Anna promised, though she wasn't entirely sure that was true — she was the kind of person to burst into a fit of giggles at the most basic of jokes and even now, she struggled to keep a straight face as she posed the question. "What do you call a sheep covered in chocolate?"

Anna was relieved when she said she wasn't drunk, and seemed to be telling the truth; she didn't really know how to deal with tipsy people. What if the poor woman was dazed and confused and she couldn't get her home because she didn't know anything about her? It would have been a nightmare.

"You're welcome!" Her worried expression was broken with a grin, not picking up on any sarcasm in Nani's voice and assuming she meant it. If she had fallen asleep in the middle of a casino, she'd probably... well, be annoyed if someone woke her up, but also grateful once she got over that part.

Looking around them, she lowered her voice slightly. "I'm Anna, and I'm kind of glad I found you. I don't like judging a book by its cover, but the other people here don't seem very... friendly..."

Nani snapped awake as the warm body slid into the seat next to her, turning her torso to face the newcomer. She gaped for a moment at the bright, open face looking back at her.

"Um, hi," she replied, blinking hard to push back the haze of exhaustion still clinging to her head.

"Not drunk," Nani chuckled nervously. "I can't say my track record with redheads is the best, but I'll take your word for it."

She glanced around, wondering where the waiter had gone, hoping this young lady wouldn't burst her bubble of mystery she'd be trying to cultivate... Which probably had burst the moment she fell asleep like a rookie. She probably had drool on her face too. Nani ghosted the back of her hand across her cheek to check, sighing as she felt moisture come away from her face.

"Thanks for waking me up," she finally replied, a smile that was more a grimace flashing across to her new companion.

"I'm Nani and I probably do need to go home."

This place was definitely not somewhere Anna belonged.

The smell of smoke was stifling, at least for someone that was never around it, and though she was a bit naïve and often saw everything through rose-tinted glasses, even she could admit that some of the people here, the way they were eyeing her, was enough to make her skin crawl.

She wasn't sure why she was here, if she was being honest; she had no experience with casinos, but gambling sounded like fun, and she loved a challenge. The machines certainly were not what she was expecting, and she'd already blown through all of the money she planned to spend within ten minutes, trying not to think the worst and believe the slots were rigged.

Admitting defeat, partially because she promised herself she would stick to budget and mostly because she was feeling a little nervous, she was heading towards the door when she spotted Nani and stopped, worried about leaving her there.

"Excuse me," she spoke, raising her voice as she slid into one of the empty seats, clearing her throat, "excuse me! Hello! Are you okay? Are you drunk? Do you need help getting home? I promise I'm not a kidnapper. I know redheads get a bad reputation, but I do have a soul, and I like to think I'm always using it!"

Black heels clicked against the floor as Nani prowled across the game floor. Her eyes darted from side to side, assessing the patrons around the tables, fingering the dark chain of her favorite purse, trying to decide if she would approach anyone.

If anyone looked like they might be able to help her, or put her in contact with someone who knew where she could gain some power to protect her little ohana here in Evermore.

She finally slid into a seat at a dining table, ordering a drink from a passing waiter and continuing her scan of the crowd.

As she waited, exhaustion began to creep over her, sitting still in a plush seat. Her nights had been less than restful, anxiety sending her back to Lilo's door every few hours to listen for her breathing, to crack open the door and check that her form was still under the covers. She napped when she could, but even still, she couldn't keep this up forever.

Before she knew it, Nani's eyes slid shut as she rested her chin on her hand and began to doze.

Anna loved the colder seasons, though truth be told . . . she loved the warm ones just as much. She was enjoying the gradually lowering temperatures, the scarf draped over her shoulders, trying not to wish fall away with the hope it would snow soon as she stared at the steam from her cup fogging the window, drawing a snowman in the condensation. "It's never too soon for hot chocolate," she stated, feeling eyes on her, turning with a smile to combat their possible judgement.

"Not roses," Anna gasped, placing a hand over her heart. "Oh, that's awful." Not worse than a chocolate allergy, so she would say... but being allergic to flowers? That was so... sad. Especially the most romantic flower of all. What if someone tried to surprise her with a nice bouquet? Tragic!

"Take one of each!" She suggested, pushing the white chocolate raspberry candies closer to the other woman. "If you'd like, I mean! I would love honest opinions. I need to perfect my recipe, especially with the pumpkin spice, I've never made those before! I'm afraid there's too much spice, not enough pumpkin flavor... but it's a really hard combo to balance, believe it or not!"

Anastasia shook her head. "Nope. No nut allergy. My only real allergy is to roses. Awful, isn't it?" She didn't know why she felt the need to divulge that information to a stranger but it happened. She mentally debated all of the options. She didn't want to sound like a pig and say that she wanted one of each (even though she did). This girl didn't look like she was the type to judge but Ana couldn't take any chances. Last thing she needed was to be reprimanded for trying a stupid piece of chocolate.

"The white chocolate with raspberry filling sounds fine," she said, content with her answer for the moment. "....And maybe the pumpkin spice ones too. Or whatever you feel like giving me I guess..."

Turning away from the racks of clothing, not quite satisfied with anything they had that would fit, Anna greeted who she thought was the saleswoman that had been stocking a shelf nearby. "Hi! Could you tell me if you have this in a size— a size... oh my gosh, you're not the— you don't work here!" Her brain was short-circuiting. She hadn't expected to come face to face with such a handsome man. She sounded silly enough, but then she realized what she was holding, and her cheeks began to turn more fuchsia than the bra in her hand. "Sorry about that!" Quickly tossing it back on a shelf, she let out a nervous laugh, hoping he had not noticed by the grace of whatever God was out there. "I guess the lack of name-tag should have given it away, huh?"

He chuckled, his lips turned up and his eyes crinkled and she noticed then — oh no, he was cute. Oh no, he was cute, and she was practically insulting him by insinuating he was some kind of stalker, of all things. With very little preservation skills, far too trusting, her guard was dropped immediately, feeling a little bad now that she'd scared him. And threatened him! Way to go, Anna, way to go.

"Oh, I'm— I wasn't saying you were weird... weirdly gorgeous, maybe." Was she making this worse somehow? Why did she say that? Without taking a moment to think her words through, she continued to ramble hoping she could magically say something that made sense and didn't make her look like a bumbling fool. "This is awkward. Not you're awkward, we're... I'm awkward. I'm sorry. I'm Anna. I've... I think I've had too much caffeine today!"

Hans was calculating, in a family of thirteen boys he had to be. Had to wait it out, biding his time until the right opportunity presented itself--it was how he survived all those torturous years of adolescence. Patience. It wasn't any different in Evermore, or difficult, to name and profile the families with titles, swanning around with a careless demeanor he couldn't afford. Not when the weight of his future hung heavy on his shoulders. Anna wasn't his first choice.. but she was certainly more approachable than the other royals he'd tried to swindle.

Hans had been casually in her vicinity multiple times this week alone, getting a feel for her routine before he decided to sink his claws further into her life. He sauntered through the street a couple yards away, turning after her when he came to a halt at her accusing tone and gesture. "Jesus! You scared the shit out of me!" he chuckled, looking down at her pretty face. "I don't doubt you could kick my ass-- but i wasn't following you" he confessed. "At least not in the weird way you're thinking."

"Of course!" While Anna was glad to have a chocolate business, it was also hard for her to not want to just give all of what she made away. She loved to see others enjoying what she'd made more than she liked getting money from it, which could be a... bit of a problem. Especially considering how much chocolate she enjoyed herself. "Then you and I will get along just fine," she giggled. "Really, your brother probably doesn't talk enough, so he doesn't get it. My sister can be like that!"

Dani should have been a bit more suspicious as to how much the other girl had slept but she also shouldn't be one to judge. Lord knows how many nights she's spent up way later than she should getting caught up in her research. Or reading a book. Or really just doing anything. Time always seemed to just slip away from her. "Can I? Thank you so much." She said excitedly, reaching for the next piece. As long as she kept it to just one piece of each kind then it should be fine! "Oh it's hard for me not to eat the entire box at once." She giggled. "My brother says that I burn off all the calories I eat by talking so much- but I think he just doesn't talk enough so I have to make up for the both of us!"
