At first I thought Javi was gonna stay on the train. But after seeing that Ben is staying and figuring Sykes was leaving, I like to think Javi chose to leave for those reasons. Someone other than Alex has to be the engineer, so he knew he’d have to step up. And he made a friend in Sykes. He probably wanted to stay with her.

I really like javi and sykes together and I could definitely see him choosing to leave for her. Its not the sole reason but hey, someone has to join Alex in the engine. I really want to see more javi x sykes content next season. They did work on engineering stuff for the new eden together so I'm sure they'll have some nice interactions at least.

I'm so glad the conflict got resolved in the first half so we can focus on the characters picking sides and saying goodbye in the second half
