How'd you get kidnapped?
I was deemed an unmarriageable hag by neighboring countries, who were attempting to assassinate me and take over my kingdom by force. I was kidnapped by complete strangers, certainly not by a foreign envoy visiting my home who wanted to stage a kidnapping and make their representative seem like a hero who I should marry and attach my kingdom to.

how did it feel to be kidnapped?
It was thrilling. Completely invigorating. Being a damsel in distress is what dreams are made of. It really made me feel like I was a beacon of strength and hope for my people. I felt completely powerful at the mercy of my kidnappers. 10/10 would recommend.

TEXT 🧸 STANFIA
Stanley: Hi, Sofia! I hope you had a great summer! Since you're a colleague I really respect, I thought I'd ask you for an opinion before I messaged my parents about it and if you'd rather not answer, that's okay too, but I thought I'd ask either way!
Stanley: In your opinion, are we too old to have stuffed animals? Because I do miss the dogs at home and thought that maybe a stuffed animal doggie could fill the void but I don't want to do so if it'll make me look TOO strange to my peers.
Stanley: Regardless of whether or not you want to weigh in on this issue, I hope you had a nice summer and was wondering if you'd like to catch up anytime soon.
Sofia: Hello, Stanley! Always great to hear from one of my more esteemed and respectable classmates! In fact, I'd dare to even call you my friend, if you're comfortable with having that title!
Sofia: In my opinion, I think that it's viewed as more socially acceptable for females to have stuffed animals than males. I'm not saying that perception is right or that I agree with it, but that's my impression. However, I think that while your male compatriots might mock you for it, your female ones might find it endearing and adorable for you to have such a thing in your possession!
Sofia: I think you should follow your heart, and if your heart tells you to pursue this as a way to alleviate your homesickness, then don't let anyone tell you it's not the right course of action.

shraymajik:
So I’ve spent the last week at the lakehouse, getting as much closure as I can. Last week, the last thing I wanted to do was go to a block party where everyone would be celebrating while I’m still mourning. I feel better, now, as I’ve settled into my dorm. I’m still unsure if I’ll attend, but I hope you all have a lot of fun next weekend as we prepare for the school year.
If you decide you’d like to attend, Shray, just know that you have at least one friend who’s more than willing to accompany you and try to help ease you through these tough times. Nothing in the world can dull the ache of losing a family member, as the last year has taught me, but going through it alone certainly doesn’t help, either. I think in the long run, you’ll feel better having tried your best to embrace this new version of Walt -- and if nothing else, making a quick appearance will at least help you to not feel like you’re falling behind. I know that that feeling only exacerbated my grief when I was experiencing it; I couldn’t even think of returning to normalcy because I felt like normal was moving along without me and leaving me behind.

….Oh. Are you expecting to get all the pity votes just because you were kidnapped over the summer? You know, ‘I’m voting for Regina George because she got hit by that bus’? And Shray’s a shoe-in for king because of his Dead Mom pity votes, we can’t have both halves of prom royalty only win cause people feel sorry for them. So I wouldn’t run if I were you, no offense.
Goodness, no. If I wanted to garner sympathy I have much more personal and tragic experiences I could draw upon, but I didn’t plan to go that route at all. Instead, I was thinking that my years of accomplishments and involvement in Walt would be what would put me over the edge. And if that failed, well, I have a very cute boyfriend who wrote a romantic song about me, those things are considered ‘cool’ in a more traditional way than many of my other achievements. Running’s been part of the plan for years and I skipped running for homecoming court to wait for this moment. I won’t let it pass me by.

TEXT 🚒 SARFIA
Sara: I don't know if it's the poorly coping with my mother's death thing or my upstairs neighbors apparently throwing a 24 hour RAVE but I'm like 3 seconds from going apeshit and attempting to set my dorm on fire with me in it. heeeelp
Sofia: Sara, dear, you know that's not the best course of action. Frankly, I'd miss you too much, but also the law is in place to handle these sorts of things. You can go and knock on their door and let them know they're causing a noise issue if you want to try and foster a friendly relationship with them, or you can skip the warning and go straight to telling the authorities and asking them to intervene on your behalf!

Okay, so I’m confused…I do get my prom queen crown or I don’t? Like is this make-up prom legit or like, a glorified block party? Cause I know I ran unopposed, but I still think I earned it. But only if it’s for real. I already had a perfect prom redux, the only thing I’d get from another one is the actual crown.
Unopposed? Just because I hadn’t dramatically made my late bid yet doesn’t mean you were the only person who was in the running for prom queen; it’s been a dream of mine since a very young age. If we’re having a redo, then the race should start anew.

He shrugged, chuckling. “It’s a new thing I’m trying – mischief is a good look on me, I think!” He crossed his arms, leaning back to gauge how Sofia might react to Zephyr’s betrayal. He was still trying to make sense of it himself, but wondered what Sofia might have to add. He valued her opinion, though a small part of him might have hoped for a hint of jealousy from her. But instead, he got some vague response that seemed like it might be baiting him for a certain answer. “Well, I don’t know – to keep me from finding my true love? To ruin my night? To frame me into looking like a two-timer? There’s only so many ways this could go,” he shrugged. “Unless….I don’t know, I was extremely adamant about winning you at the auction that summer that I would’ve done something similar to edge out…” He grimaced, trying his best to respect the girl’s boyfriend and call him his preferred name. “…Boo. But that was only because I really liked you.”

Pari: 🥺🥺🥺🥺 WOW that's so sweet, I'm honored. I mean, /I'm/ over the punching incident, and that's really all that matters, so they should be over it too! We could double date at the bowling alley or something!

Sofia: I've been watching a particularly romantic television show as a brief reprieve from schoolwork, and it helped spur me to send you a daily 'I love you' reminder! Hopefully you're more secure in my affections now than you were before my unfortunate departure, but it still never hurts to share what's on one's mind and express my fondness, does it?

Sofia: Seeing as you've now become one of the five people in the world I like most without having any blood relation to them, I was wondering if perhaps it was time for us to start exploring the concept of 'double dating!' I'm sure Max and Monty are beyond that whole... punching incident, aren't you?

shraymajik:
Shray shrugged. He hoped talking to Sofia wouldn’t be awkward, and it didn’t feel awkward just yet, but he also didn’t want to make it awkward. “Well, I think my favorite TikTok I’ve done so far is my ‘famous relatives check’ where I panned to my mom in her curlers and she nearly slapped the phone out of my hand,” he laughed at the memory, and inched closer to Sofia as she answered his initial question. “Oh? Well…” Shray rolled his eyes for a second, shrugging. “Yeah, I was paired with Jo de la Bete! But do you wanna know something insane?” He glanced around, hoping that Zephyr or anyone else who might be eavesdropping wasn’t near. “Zephyr pretended to be my date. That was, until Jo showed up and set us straight. Isn’t that just…cuckoo bananas? Why would she do that?”
Despite her negative prejudgment, Sofia snickered at Shray’s description of his video. “Your poor mother!” she told him, while making a mental note to see the video for herself later. It was nice to remember that her idols, like Fairy Godmother, were real people just like anyone else, after all. Shray’s video sounded very humanizing! She quickly focused on what else he was saying, though, and found herself fascinated by what she heard. “Oh?” Sofia asked, arching an eyebrow. It sounded an awful lot like an incident her sophomore year, when she’d gone to quite extreme measures to ensure that Boo had been her partner on the flour baby project, and she looked at Shray pointedly. “Why do you think someone would do something absurd to make sure they are in your company? You’ve always been quite smart, Shray; I’m sure you must have some guess.”

@trimoss: I mean, the Oscars just happened and Zombieland: Double Tap was nowhere to be seen. Maybe that's my brand.
@sofiaflores: Oh! I hadn't heard anyone discussing that film as if it was Oscar-worthy! What about it made your opinion differ?
