04 NOV 2017 이모 and 이모부 drove the girl cousins to Nami Island to see the autumn leaves. This island is famous for the korean drama my mother loved when I was younger called “가을동화” and is the most beautiful place to see the 은행나무 (ginkgo nut trees) that turn bright yellow in the autumn.

03 NOV 2017 Youngmin is home from the army for a weekend and the cousins gathered in Danggogae to have a dinner altogether with EEMO’s amazing cooking

03 NOV 2017 Met with a few of the Fulbright Master’s students over 막걸리 and went to see Dumbfounded, Penacoma, Superbee (and other rappers I didn’t know) at Soap Seoul with his cousin Sarah who put us on the guest list.

02 NOV 2017 SNUH celebrated their hospice volunteers and the Thursday team took the afternoon off to eat 보리밥 and 막걸리 for a lunch funded by the hospital. Afterwards, one of the volunteers took us to his favorite café called “Joseph Tree” with an overlook of his neighborhood.
