we're done! for now it's over! until I start Splat2

gonna take a small break and get the ones I didn't shade shaded, then start with Splatoon 2

ten years... that's a long time... I'm like an entirely different person now, I've been through both high school and college

I did take a small break from Splatoon after 2 came out; I wasn't able to play online(except for Chaos vs. Order, where I used my free week of NSO), but I did play both Octo Canyon and Octo Expansion and enjoyed them both. I had ocs and stuff, but didn't do a whole ton with them as I was more into Sonic at the time

when stuff started really getting intense for me though was when 3 was revealed and later released, and that got more intense when I got on tumblr a couple months afterward lol. I dusted off my ancient agent ocs and started drawing them again. there was a bit of a learning curve as I had to relearn how to draw humanoid faces, but I think I've made it work, and improved a ton since then(I posted one of my oldest ones the other day, actually; you can see the improvement, it's kinda awesome :)

and as I drew them more and figured out what exactly they were like, I also kinda figured some shit out about myself. I had figured out I liked women by this point, but I think writing lesbians made me realize I might be one too lmao. it also helped me get a bit more comfortable with myself and gain a bit more confidence

I've also gotten back into writing, something I hadn't done in years, and certainly not as shamelessly as I do now. am I perfect? no, but I'm having fun :)

I've also made friends with other artists and writers through our shared love of this game

all in all, this series --especially in the last two and a half years-- has more or less changed my life, and I'm incredibly grateful for that
