what's everyone's favourite Mission impossible stunt/stunt sequence and why do you love it? Also what in your opinion was the most nerve-wracking stunt and why?

My favourite is the motorbike jump off the cliff in dead reckoning, its sooooooo cool and I love the way benji is just like "you can do that" like it's the easiest thing in the world. I also love that Tom Cruise actually jumped off the cliff on a motorbike, he's a madman. It's just crazy to me. I also love the plane scene in final reckoning aswell

The most stressful one to me was the submarine scene in Final Eeckoning like at any moment anything could go wrong, the torpedoes could collide and blow up, he could get crushed, the submarine could sink, his oxygen could fail and he could drown. And his only goal is to escape. And the plan is to die. Butbin a place where the others can find him.

Just random thoughts after watching Mission Impossible: Final Reckoning a second time

•I just love Erica's message to Ethan that he watches on the TV, with all the clips of his past missions, it just made me so emotional.

•The fact that when Ethan comes out after speaking with the Entity, he touches Grace and Benji, asking if theyre real, its just so cute for me.

•How in the world did Benji know exactly what to do from just one page of random ramblings from Ethan, those to have some kind of telepathic communication.

• I love how the do the cuts between scenes, primarily when Benji and Ethan are giving the same speech about the mission and it cuts and makes it seem like they're finishing eachothers sentences. I love the way it connects them even when they're miles apart. Also when it's doing the cuts between Ethan fighting on the submarine and they're fighting at the Sosus station, like they're both going through the same thing.

•When Benji speaks to Paris in French even though she can understand English ❤️

•WHY DID THEY GET RID OF THE FOREHEAD TOUCH SCENE! 😡

I love this series. I just randomly started watching them and I'm soo happy I dod and then got to see the Final one.

truly think luther’s message to ethan is the most compassionate act in the franchise. to be sick and living in a literal cave and accepting that you’re going to die, and thinking about 30 years. 30 years of not just work but a beer after it’s over. meeting his wife, then helping her leave. most of your life spent as the person trusted by the person trusted to save the world. being the only person who knows what all of his “looks” mean and who can glance at a drawing and know exactly what he’s thinking from the way he shaded the paper. who can translate conversations and feelings that he won’t say out loud. and after 30 years knowing, more than anything, that this is a person who is sure that he will fail. and if not fail in practical terms, fail by his own terms, and his own measures of damage. sitting alone in a literal cave and being sure that he’ll succeed, and that for the first time in 30 years you won’t be there, and still wanting him to hear your voice. that you’ll always love him, that you’ll see him again, just not too soon because the world needs him. that this world is full of kindness, and understanding: “if we choose to accept.”

i think that hands down the best side effect of cruise doin all those stunts For Reals in the movies is Ethan looking like he Actually went through all that. Other actors in movies where they're not actually doing the stunts will easily shake off the crazy action thing that they just did because they don't know what it's like to actually have done that. Tom DOES, because he DID it. and he can add that to the character and his reaction. So instead of a stoic badass, we get a character who is also a badass but walks away from getting punched or thrown or dropped like "😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫" and I think that's beautiful. I also think it's cute.

I keep meaning to talk about that flash of a scene where Benji is almost crying, begging Ethan not to take on the guilt for The Entity's harms because of what he's learned about the Rabbit's Foot. "You didn't know, we didn't know." Ethan is trying already to shoulder the world on his own, and Benji is so desperate to shield him from carrying any more weight, or at least to be allowed to share it.

so obsessed with the fact they they clearly added simon pegg to the M:I franchise as tonally perfect comic relief but ended up making him integral to ethan's development as a character and one of the only constants in his life and as a result gave them the most beautiful love story in the entire franchise xoxo
