maddymat_cos and I got to do our dream toxic yuri duo for Otakon 2025 and I'm so excited to share this photo with you!

How do you interpret their relationship? I imagine Lúthien tries desperately to lead Thuringwethil to the light and offer forgiveness, while Thuringwethil subtly brings out the darkness in Lúthien... it's the perfect "I can fix her"/"I can make her worse" ship. ❤️

A Second Chance

The time of the Elves has come to an end, and Galadriel reaches out to Maglor one last time, just before they make the final journey across the sea.

I had this cosplay photo taken of my Maglor and my friend @moodrose's Galadriel at Katsucon 2025, and we managed to get set up just in time for the sunset! The rocky shore outside the convention center was absolutely gorgeous and perfect for this shot. This was a last-minute idea I had, but it really paid off, because we knew this photo would be perfect for @tolkienrsb, leaving plenty of room for the author to develop Maglor and Galadriel's relationship. Look forward to reading @starspray's amazing fic when the collection goes live on Sept. 6!

Resonance

No one can resist the allure of the One Ring... Sauron's finest and most terrible creation.

Here's one of my art pieces for TRSB 2025! This cosplay photo set was so evocative, I was wondering what I could use it for, and then I realized that @tolkienrsb would be a perfect fit. The circlet and halo crown were made by me; the circlet has an Eye of Sauron design and the halo crown lights up. This is one of my favorite cosplays and I'm so overjoyed to share it as part of TRSB!

"One singular author didn't thank me for commenting, I'm never commenting on any fic again so I don't get burned." You're punishing people because someone didn't give you engagement they don't owe you that they might not have seen.

"This fic is three months old, it's so old, it doesn't matter if I comment or kudos, it's old." Fics do not have expiration dates, comment and kudos.

I have sort of a silly sketch request, but could you do Fingolfin' ... like, Fingolfin, golfing? Just for the silly wordplay or whatever. Maybe it's too far outside your comfort zone, but I thought I'd drop the request just in case. 😊

My dear most patient anon, you have just made my sister’s dream come true. Literally since the moment she heard Fingolfin’s name she keeps telling me draw this.

Nolo’s probably got some bet going with Fëanor over this game and just got a perfect shot.

Design notes:

- Fingon had to get his love of threading gold in his hair from someone, and I’m calling Fingolfin

- General contrasts to Fëanor with a more round but structured design and lots of hair decoration

- Where Fëanor has bold embroidery, Fingolfin prefers brocade with decorative jewellery

- Pearls gifted from Finarfin and Eärwen

- Loose hair with a small pulled back design in the style of the Vanyar for this piece. Fingolfin likes to honour his mother’s and her people where he can (a similarly he shares with Fëanor.)

villains are hard to design. making them ugly is dangerous, depending on what traits you choose to frame as monstrous or undesirable, you could very well end up saying something fatphobic, racist, anti-semitic, etc

but if you make a hot villain then people will get thirsty and demand redemptions and refuse to acknowledge their evil actions, no matter how despicable

im gonna be honest gang i really don't care if a 16 year old sees porn. i think the circumstances & context around your first interaction with sexuality is a lot more important in whether or not it will be traumatizing in some way than the sex itself. like i think the first time i ever looked up porn i was 12? which is a very normal age as well. and i was also on tumblr where i saw a lot of people saying "hey porn isn't realistic" so when i watched porn i was like hmm interesting, maybe hot, but i's not good advice. and that was that. watching porn didn't lead me to engage with any adults, it didn't make me upset, all it did was help me visualize things and later explore my own sexuality. and im not saying there's no rules i couldn't get behind regarding minors and sexual content because we do have these concepts for good reasons. but i keep seeing people be like well OBVIOUSLY we should keep minors from watching porn! and im just like idk! do we really need to be majorly concerned with preventing teens from accessing porn as much as we need to make sure there is bountiful, educated and compassionate sex ed, workers rights for sex workers, and awareness around abuse? maybe the solution is better positive than negative

I am an enby lesbian with severe asthma and hyperinflated lungs. After eating a takeout meal that has normally been safe for me, I had a severe allergic reaction and had to be taken to the hospital. I also recently had to get my car fixed as the brakes were grinding. I am about to move in 2 weeks and I simply don't have the ability to pay this medical bill. Any help is appreciated.
