HOW TO KNOW IF YOU HAVE AN EATING DISORDER?
HOW TO KNOW IF YOU HAVE AN EATING DISORDER?
Sometimes, it's not all that obvious you have an eating disorder. Because what's bad in wanting to lose weight and look better? You see, there is a difference.
🌻You want to lose weight.
I probably mentioned this already, but 50% of women that want to lose weight end up with an eating disorder.
🌻Your eating habits change
In any way. For example, you eat certain foods only in the morning or only after exercise.
🌻You start counting calories
Is the direct way to an ed. I'm begging you, don't. There are foods that are pretty high in calories but CAN'T MAKE YOU FAT, like apples, BECAUSE THEY DON'T CONTAIN FAT. My brain doesn't understand this and still freaks out over an apple, so BE CAREFUL!
🌻You weight yourself often
Don't weight yourself every day, you'll get obsessed! Remember, there are things like water weight and etc.
🌻You restrict/binge
That's the final sign you're seriously sick. Sometimes I think restricting is even worse than starving. You feel guilty for eating because your brain tells you you could go without it. And you start eating less and less, until you stop eating at all. So listen. YOU COULDN'T GO WITHOUT IT. If you were hungry, you needed it.

HOW TO PREVENT AN EATING DISORDER WHEN YOU FEEL LIKE YOU MIGHT GET ONE
🌻
HOW TO PREVENT AN EATING DISORDER WHEN YOU FEEL LIKE YOU MIGHT GET ONE
🌻Talk to someone!
Anyone! Friends, parents, family. What you might be facing is really, really dangerous, don't ignore these thoughts about skipping meals you get! Think about just how much harm eating dissorders can cause!
🌻Get motivated to love yourself!
Read inspirational blogs and posts, read or watch anything you can get your hands on about self love and confidence
🌻Get a new interesting hobby!
Because sometimes all you need is to distract yourself!
🌻Talk to a psychologist.
If you don't feel like telling your family or friends about what you feel, you can just as well talk to a psychologist! What you talk about will remain between you two, and you will get the help you need.
🌻Tip: My personal favorite are instagram anorexiarecovery blogs <3

LET'S TALK ABOUT CAUSES OF EATING DISORDERS
Let it snow.....
🌻
LET'S TALK ABOUT CAUSES OF EATING DISORDERS
🌻Being slightly more chubby than most people
But! Still in a healthy weight! If you have wider hips it simply means you have wider hips, and that's it! You're not fat, okay?
🌻Bullying
Look. Being thin won't magically fix everything. Yeah, people will sometimes notice and compliment you. But bullies will always find a different way to try and hurt you, so being thin isn't the right way to try to stop bullying! Talk to a friend or family member!
🌻Using anorexia as a distraction or way of #elfharm
Is pretty common, actually. But you have to seek professional help!
🌻Deciding to "lose some weight" and losing control of it
According to statistics 50% of women that decide to loseweight end up with an eating disorder. Be careful, please!
🌻Not liking your looks
Isn't the reason to stop eating! Try changing up your style or getting a different haircut!

THE DANGERS AND SYMPTOMS OF ANOREXIA

THE DANGERS AND SYMPTOMS OF ANOREXIA
🌻
📍Heart failure
Is the most dangerous thing about anorexia. I have to take heart pills every two days now to minimize the risks of heart failure.
📍Weak immune system
Malnourishment obviously causes a weak immune system, you loose a lot of muscle mass, etc.
📍Fainting
Yeah, fainting issues are a thing. You may or may not get them, and it varies from feeling faint and weak to blacking out completely.
📍Can't focus
Your concentration is gone and you may fail in class.
📍Constantly cold
I would wear a shirt and sweater when others were perfectly fine wearing T-shirts, and got questions about it, of course.
📍Sleep deprivation/insomnia
I had sleep deprivation, and hard. It was like no matter how much I slept it was never enough.
It's gonna be alright 💛

I REVIEW AN ANOREXIA RECOVERY APP
I REVIEW AN ANOREXIA RECOVERY APP
Okay, so a friend recommended me a recovery app, and I decided to try it out, because why not.
🌻I downloaded the RR app. At first it was really difficult to understand how it works, but turns out my sister used the same app, so she explained a couple of things and I kinda understand it.
🌻What I like about it
📍It has a huge variety of things you can fill in to distract yourself, like whether or not you binged, or purged, done a body check , done an exercise , you can fill in your mood, goals, what you ate, how you're feeling, your physical symptoms, etc.
📍It asks you questions, like "why did you skip this meal?", just has you write down every emotion you feel.
📍It gives you little motivational quotes and cute animal pictures after you fill something in.
📍Awesome timekiller.
🌻What I don't like
📍It takes internet, obviously
🌻General thoughts
I like it. Nothing more to say.
