Reccer says: All the characters feel so whole and human -- they're all flawed, but also have good features, and seeing how those balance (or not) to different people. You can see the way love and acceptance and fear shape the characters in different ways. Louis is braver than he thinks.

Reccer says: I love how there's this already established love between all five of them, and the fic just sort of cements it and lets it grow into something permanent. The author captures Louis' voice so well and it's just really charming and fun to read. Everything's sickeningly sweet in the best ways and it feels like a balm, there's just enough realistic angst to tug you along and ofc a happy ending.

How did you get started in kink? I really think I want to try it (subbing specifically) but I have no clue where to start.

Hi nonny! This is the big hurdle most people have. It can be really hard to find a play partner and looking online isn't always safe. Be cautious meeting people to play with online on fetlife.com but it IS the big hub and where you can find locally organized munches. Munches are meetups in public, in a non kink setting to get to know the community.

Option 2 - be open about kink in dating. This is how I started. And I know, it's awkward and difficult in the beginning. It gets easier as you get more comfortable with being a kinkster though.

When you find someone, be sure to do the checklist first and keep this in mind - if you're too uncomfortable to do the check list, you're not ready to play yet. But you can do a small, easy checklist. Like... just cuffs, blindfolds, gags, and ropes. Or whatever is tailored to what you're looking for. You can work your way up together from there.

Don't negotiate on colors, they are mandatory and if your partner says no, run. The best play is built on trust. And remember, yellow just means to pause/take a step back. Red stops the scene. Both are good to use.

Also do not negotiate on aftercare, this is also mandatory for both dom and sub. Talk about what you both need after a scene so there's no confusion.

I imagine they check in during family meetings/dinners or even when they have time to kill on set. It's a casual thing after the first one. I should write an example of what that looks like 🤔

Just read the new chapter again and it breaks my heart more each time.

I didn't expect a breakup, even if it was brief (but the fact he actually did it and was even making a schedule to cut him out of his life as much as possible has to have long reaching affects, especially with how Niall is known to be an overthinker, I'm sure it'll haunt him)

Is it bad that I'm kinda hoping Lou gets some crap for this too? He's not blameless in letting their relationship deteriorate to that point.

No one is blameless, thats for sure. But this is what happens when you have two avoidant types in a relationship. Eventually, its gonna blow up for better or for worse. But now, because they hit rock bottom, they are starting to build one of the strongest/healthiest duos in the house <3
