The patient is fighting the mask but the nurse is experienced in dealing with this.

She calmly puts down the mask and turns up the strength of the anaesthesia. Up to 6% sevoflurane

And then she turns up the volume of the gas

Before bringing the mask close to the patient’s face so she can already smell the gas coming out of it.This causes the patient to struggle even more

But all she manages to do is take in a last deep breath of air, before the mask is clamped firmly down on her face...

The patient continues to struggle but the nurse firmly holds down the mask forcing her to breathe the gas

By now the patient has already lost the battle.

She just doesn’t realise it yet.

For a few seconds she manages to hold her breath but then she is forced to take a huge breath of the gas that the nurse is giving her. After a few breaths, she is not fighting any more...

Nurse looks down on her patient lovingly. She loves this feeling. She loves it when they give in and surrender to the gas.

The nurse ignored her feeble protests, placing the mask firmly over her nose and mouth.

The rubber felt suffocating against her skin, the smell of the gas was sharp and chemical.

Jane tried to turn her head away, but the nurse held it steady with a practiced hand.

"Breathe deeply," the nurse instructed in a soothing tone, though the words offered no comfort. "Just breathe."

The anesthesia machine hissed softly as it released the gas, a mix of sevoflurane and nitrous oxide.

Each breath Jane took dragged her further into unconsciousness.

The room around her became a spinning blur, the faces of the nurses fading into a foggy haze.

Her resistance weakened and she felt herself slipping into an inescapable void.

With each inhalation, her mind grew more distant, her thoughts dissolving into a drug-induced fog. The gas, combined with the IV anesthetic, worked quickly to silence her remaining fears.

Within moments, she was completely unconscious, her body limp and unresponsive on the operating table.
