Okay but it's super interesting how

Din = Power = Ganondorf

Naryu = Wisdom = Zelda

Farore = Courage = Link.

Because Din, in the hylian creation myth, created the physical world. Naryu then created the laws - gravity, time, etc. And Farore finally created life - plants and people.

Din created the body, naryu the mind, Farore the soul.

And the triforce and its wielders so perfectly reflect that.

Ganon is physical power, he is big and intimidating and he breaks things. He is cunning and determined, but that's not what he focuses on. He is might makes right.

Zelda is wisdom and cleverness. She is stall tactics and information and team work. She is a powerful mage with a spine of steel, but that's not how she'll win. She is the pen being mightier than the sword.

Link is courage and persistence. He is the wild card sneaking behind enemy ranks, always moving, plunging into terrifying situations head first. He's a phenomenal fighter with a keen wit, but that's not what will get him through his challenges. He is bravery not being the absence of fear but the triumph over it.

They sit in perfect parallels to each other.

And ganon is reborn through his body - his resurrection is immortality. No matter how low he is cast, as long as he has a body he can claw his way back. He can cling to his power, build it ever higher.

Zelda is reborn through the magic of her bloodline. It's the accumulated knowledge handed down for generations, the unique power she must master, the skills she must develop to survive and get her kingdom out the other side intact. Even her name, the knowledge of herself, is handed down from all the way from the very first. Her ancestors knowledge of her future presence, her stability, is what gives her the edge.

Link is reborn in spirit. He is not bound by flesh or blood. Just like his wanderlust soul he can reappear in any time or place. His variation, his unpredictability, is exactly how he fights. It's what makes him so hard to pin down.

Ganons need to build strength means he can't chase after link. Links impulsiveness means zelda can outwit him. Zeldas stationary predictability means she's an easy target for ganon.

But the other direction?

Fire melts ice, ice redirects lightning, lightning burns fire.

And that's the very essence of the triforce.

One of my favorite things is just plopping an echo down and them following you. Anytime I’m in the water it’s just boom, shark. And he just swims along and all happy-go-lucky and occasionally slaps or eats a piranha. Finally playing EoW so have some Notes

I love the feel of it IMMEDIATELY. so different from botw and totk in an awesome way. Amazing. All of it. I’m three minutes in.

The music. I NEVER tire of TLOZ scores, especially the classics

The gameplay is great?? As I type this, I’m still Link, but the lack of a quiver or a limited number of bombs is interesting, but I don’t mind it. I know Tri only has so many… tris once you play as Zelda. But the gameplay is fluid, I love that you can jump and swing, and jump over enemy attacks and still get a stab in. Perfect

18 years of Twilight Princess on Wii

You know, having played twilight princess… hundreds of times, it’s so easy to fall into such a lousy frame of mind when I think about or even play it, especially when I consider it to be one of my favorite games. But replaying it (as someone who would love to speedrun it someday) constantly, it can get very dry and boresome

Now I have to get all the Lanayru light spirits

Now I have to playthrough Snowpeak again

Now I have to escort Prince Ralis to Kakariko

Now I have to do Ilias memory quest before the city in the sky

Now I have to wrestle Bo

But something that so easily cures this is watching people play through the game blindly for the first time. So often, they have these moments of “oh I love that mechanic!” Or “THIS ITEM IS AWESOME!” Or “wow I love the design of this dungeon!” Or “I really enjoyed that boss fight!” Or “wow this area is so pretty!”

Every time, without fail, it pulls me from that slump and helps me appreciate the game so much more

Ive been watching ZFG and his OOT randos for a few years now, and I’ve picked up so much about the glitches for that game and how they’re done and also just about the game in general

And 99% of the glitches or clips or explanations as to why actors react this why or why ISG works or why QPA does the things it does all make sense, even if to an absurd degree

But the one thing that will always blow me away no matter what is a void warp. And he’s EXPLAINED it, and it STILL is such an insane concept to me!!

The fact that you can set Farore’s wind in one dungeon, go to a different dungeon, void out in said dungeon and use FW to warp back to the former dungeon on the same frame as the void out, and warp back to the co-ordinates of the latter dungeon in the former dungeon is absolutely insane. And I don’t know if that’s the case for every one! But he did that for Spirit into botw today and it’s still so insane

He pulled a void warp OUT OF THIN AIR a while back!! he warped from shadow to fire or something. He didn’t even know if it was going to work, and somehow pulled it off flawlessly to beat the seed. it’s just. it blows me away. I love void warps

Got totk a year ago :’) went to the midnight release and started playing it by 1am. Spent 4 1/2 hours on GSI and refused to sleep until I touched Hyrule’s grass. Eventually slept when the full sun was shining through my window

Making a list of my faves to play as to the ones I can’t stand.

Zelda, she’s strong with the bow of light and she’s just amazing in general.

Sooga. He’s strong as hell, and has cool abilities. Like Zelda he’s also amazing in general

Link. How could he not be up here? He’s got a large range of weapons, and he’s just op with them all.

King Roham. Strong, and the guides are fun to use!

Impa. My girl’s got awesome attacks.

Urbosa. The lighting damage is really useful.

Monk Maz Koshia. His attacks are fun to use, and I like the spiny one.

Master Kohga. Each time I play as him I can’t help but laugh and that’s why he’s here 😂

Terrako. Awesome. Love him.

Purah and Robbie. The diving beast attacks are just op.

Daruk. He’s my weakest by far but he’s just strong in general.

Riju. Great potential but her controls are…. Annoying.

Revali. He’s infront if Teba just because he’s sarcastic.

Teba. I dislike playing as him, but I would choose him over the next few.

Sidon. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE HIM SO MUCH, but I’m not really a spear person.

Mipha. Eh. She’s…. Her.

Friggin Younobo. I don’t even care if I’ve spelt his name wrong-

Great bloody Faries. Never playing as them again.

1. Sooga. Used to be Link, but Sooga took first with a QUICKNESS. He’s perfect, that’s it. His cutscenes for certain attacks, speed, damage, attitude, it’s all so good. Parrying three times and getting that attack boost feels illegal

2. Link. His range of weapons is so good, and all of them are all cracked in their own right. His spear is heavily underrated and can crowd control pretty well

3. Calamity. He almost feels illegal sometimes. He isn’t that fast while sprinting regularly, but his attacks are nuts. Plus, the little animated cutscenes are awesome

4. Impa. Having all five symbols clears the field with ease, plus her A charges up insanely fast

5. Rhoam and Zelda are interchangeable for me, but Rhoam will take four. The power in his guise change and attacks is crazy, and his speed as the old man is phenomenal. His sprint + X goes SO far and deals massive damage

6. Zelda. Bow of Light is nasty and can also crowd control really well. Having a 196 (currently) bow really sells her for me

7. Teba. I just love him he’s such a cute dad. But his attacks!! He has a really good range of fighting on the ground and in the air, and while the fighting mechanics in the for he and revali are a bit funky, teba felt easier to control

8. Sidon. His employ endless optimism ability is actually good, but I do wish his base strength was a bit better. I like him though and am a fan of fighting with the spear for her and mipha

9. Terrako. He’s fun! And I say that with very little recollection of his attacks 💀 but I remember him being good! He’s just tiny and doesn’t cover a ton of ground like some others

10. Mipha. Surprisingly decent. I don’t remember it now, but I do recall spamming one of her combos and getting some really good damage off in the levels I needed to use her in

11. Urbosa. Her lightning attacks are so good and can be really good for crowd control

12. Riju. Actually good. Takes getting used to, but she’s really good for big damage in tight spaces. Wouldn’t really use her for a lynel or a hinox or something though

13. Revali. My sarcastic king. Also decent, he’s just almost entirely in the air and I’m not super fond of it, despite his area of attack. He’s strong, but controlling him wasn’t exactly my favorite thing

14. Daruk. He’s OK, fairly slow to attack though. I’m sure if I had him stronger, he’d mow down everything. Used him a little bit outside of mandatory things and it was manageable

15. Guardian. Surprisingly decent and used him a little outside the mandatory things. Considering he’s not humanoid like the rest of them, it wasn’t too bad. Unlocking him sucked though

16. Purah and Robbie. Actually good and enjoyed them, I just never used them again 💀 but they pleasantly surprised me!

17. Hestu. He’s ok and some his attacks are fine, but not an ideal choice. Played as him more than Moz 💀

18. Kohga. He’s strong, but his recovery time was way too slow for my liking

19. Yunobo. I genuinely don’t know the last time I played him. What even are his attacks

20. Moz. I don’t think I’ve played as him since I needed to to complete his training, but I remember him being pretty decent! Just never went back to him so I don’t exactly remember or where he should be in the lineup💀

21. Great fairies. I literally hate them

No rush dude! It takes a while

In terms of tips for leveling up weapons, the way that works the most is abusing the fusion material weapons

Let’s say for Link, you get a lizal boomerang with ‘fusion material +150xp’. Take that as your starting weapon in the blacksmith guild and load it up with other weapons. You’ll see the level up bar jump multiple levels at a time. You can do this over and over and over again and spend under like a 1000 rupees to make that weapon level 15 or something. Fusing weapons directly to your main costs way more and also levels them up slowly when you start reaching higher levels. This way is way more efficient for cost, time, and progress

Also, The fusion material +250 is way better to use bc it levels up faster. If you have a +150 and a +250, don’t fuse them together. Fuse the 150 a few times to other useless weapons, same with the 250, and fuse them to your main weapon separately. This way, its incredibly cheap, and your main weapon jumps a ton of levels with very little work

As for character level ups, you just gotta grind. Granted I’m not an expert on exactly how the the EXP works in this game and if difficulty, number of kills, time you play, or any of that matters or how much it does matter, but-

I love All Hyrule, United and make an effort to kill every enemy on the map every time, which is usually over 3k kills if I put the time in. Freeing Korok Forest can get you a lot as well if you go cover the whole thing. Like I said earlier, I made an effort to beat every main level on every difficulty, and that could be another good way to get some quick exp and make 100% completion progress

Good luck tho! Grinding can be tedious, but this game makes it not as bad as it could be, at least for me

OH ALSO ! Cooking meals that give you extra EXP is a good way to level up as well :) things go by a little bit quicker

VALID opinion tbh. I love both games, but I love how different aoc is. And you’re right! New and fun storylines. Customizable and interesting characters. Super fun levels that can be challenging. Different weapons that all have tons of different combos too?? And the animation is 🤌🏻

I’ve played AoC, TotK, BotW, TP, WW, OoT, MM, SS, ALttP, TLoZ, FSA, TH, and ST, but have only beaten those first six (not in that order). TP and WW are by far my favorites, but aoc is up there too. They’re all good in their own right, but something about aoc is just good in a way that totk and botw aren’t

I also just hope that the next game (and all to follow) go back to the typical nine or so dungeon game. I miss that part of the old games so much :/ Replaying is great, and I just started my like 400th run of TP the other day, but I want something new that has elements of the old
