Sven-Harry's art museum in Odenplan is nothing short of unreal. The building itself is an architectural delight. It's golden-clad walls, reflecting the early sunset in Stockholm, act as a beacon to design lovers. It completely lures you in. The museum opened not that long ago, 2011, to be exact. It consists mainly of a large exhibition space, over several floors and on the top floor, a replica of one of Sven-Harry's previous homes in Lidingö. We went to see Nathalia Edenmont's 'Only Me' exhibition which has just opened. And what a treat. I'm only sorry that my own photographs are such poor quality of these obvious masterpieces. Kiev-born Edenmont tragically lost her parents at a young age and moved to Stockholm in order to find her future. Her work portrays raw emotion with pure beauty and cannot fail to move you. I saw an abundance of influences, from performance artist Marina Abramović, to fifteenth century painter Jan Van Eyck, and even early renaissance artist, Sandro Botticelli. As an art historian, the relationship the artworks have with their surroundings really interests me and in this case, they worked in great harmony together. Edenmont's work built in emotion with each floor, a crescendo, which left you breathless at the end. (Though, maybe that was the numerous flights of stairs!) in any case, I left the place full of inspiration and admiration of the truly talented Edenmont.

Trainer overload. I'm loving both of these pairs at the moment. I brought the Nikes first and then about five minutes later bought the coral pair! It's not my usual behaviour. If you're a Soooali reader, you'll know I'm all about wardrobe staples and lifetime pieces...but what could be more necessary than comfy shoes?

The snow has finally reached Stockholm. Hurrah! It's still gorgeous and fluffy and crunchy and enveloping. So we decided to take ourselves to Artipelag and enjoy the scenery at its best. They do one of the best brunches where you can indulge in the finest Swedish fare while looking out through snow covered trees onto the water. Helt perfekt!

Home. What a wonderful 12 days. The weather was bright and sunny...though extremely windy and I spent most of my time walking along the coast next to my parents house just soaking it all in. Becks was there of course to keep me company, which is always a pleasure.

I have made some wonderful friends since being here in Stockholm, and I am so grateful for that. But my girls at home gotta get a look in too. They have been amazing rocks through the highs and lows.
My bestie Aoife visited in May, Fiona and Roisin in June…now where are the rest of you?! Stockholm awaits!

I miss living so close to the sea, but with Stockholm being part of the archipelago, it’s never too far away. Adventures to the different island kept things exciting and I’ve still got thousands more to explore!

2013...one of the most wonderful years. Here's some photos that capture just how special it was. I never thought I would be interested in when things flower and the progress of the sun, but when you live in Stockholm it's what you live by.

Just over five years together with this chap. He doesn't often get a mention, but he certainly is my better half and I would be lost him. Loving you is too easy ❤️

Recounting the last few months since I moved here to Stockholm. It's been quiet here on the blog, but it's tough to find time to post when you're building a new life! Here's a collection of my new habits since moving to Sthlm; Selfies...we're all doing it though, right? Cheeseburgers...forever trying to make the ultimate one with M! Fresh flowers...makes a house a home. Fizzy water...going through gallons. &...crudités!

Hejdå 2013, jag hoppas att 2014 ska bli roligare änu du har varit! What an amazing year 2013 has been. I spent my first Christmas away from home and it was super special. I only had a couple of days off work, but that was well spent sipping on glögg and wrapping presents/making some floral arrangements. Very festive!

Red is definitely my colour this summer, I just can’t get enough of it in any shape or form. I noticed so many shades pop up in my photos over the last few weeks!

I really love creating collages with a colour theme. You'll be seeing a few of them up over the next while. Mostly the photos come from my Instagram (Soooali) because that's where I post most often. I like a more organic approach to blogging nowadays and I feel Instagram is a perfect platform for just that. See. Snap. Share. There's nothing contrived about it, and it's more real. My blog used to be about a big production and everything all set up, but I think I've moved away from that.

Las Vegas, Nevada. The final part of our trip. We weren't so taken by the whole gambling scene. It was really amazing to see, but when we lost a dollar we were nearly in tears...so we weren't willing to take much of a risk! It was enjoyable to just wander around the hotels, each bigger than the next. The highlight was definitely the helicopter trip over the Grand Canyon. It's so different to anything I've ever seen before and really put the whole of Las Vegas into perspective.
