@sophia-reed-rp
Declan had texted Sophia earlier in the day to ask if he could stop by her place after work. She was one of his closest friends, and in the past few weeks they had only gotten closer. He was finally ready to tell her about him and Regina, which was a big step. But after his last conversation with his girlfriend, he knew it was time to stop being so secretive about it. He hoped Sophia would approve, especially because she knew about their history. How he had been into Regina for a while, even before he was with his ex wife. Declan walked up to Sophia’s apartment with takeout food in hand, knocking on the door. As she opened the door, he smiled. “Hey, thanks for letting me come over.” He let out a nervous sigh as he walked in, turning around to look at her. “Okay…so I wanted to see you, but I also kind of have something to tell you.”
Sophia had been fairly isolated lately. Between her own personal drama and the stress of work and school, her evenings had been spent at the gym. She was able to get out her pent up frustrations in a controlled way. Truthfully, her knuckles were still healing from her last fist fight, but the pain in her fists distracted her from the tension in her chest. However, when Declan had reached out and asked to see her, she couldn’t refuse. He was one of her closest friends and Sophia would be there for him no matter what. When she heard the knock at the door, she lifted up Hercules and went to answer the door. She smiled brightly at him, “Of course, Dec! You’re always welcome here you know that. Besides, Herc and I could use the company” she smiled fondly. Once she shut the door she set the pup down and allowed him to wander over to her friend. “Don’t mind him, he just wants to sniff you. What’s going on? It’s good news I hope” she smiled reassuringly, gesturing for them to go to the couch.

who do you ship oliver with?
Okay, not gonna lie, but I feel like he and Emilia would be pretty hot together. Two very attractive surgeons? Maybe I’ve been watching too much Grey’s. Also maybe someone very sweet and genuine like Sophia?

julian-reed-rp:
Julian was unfortunately a lot like his father. The older Julian got the less he thought his father was an emotionless sociopath, instead he began to think his father knew how much of a fuck up he was. In some fucked up way perhaps their father figured the two were better off fending for themselves than having the toxicity of an addict around at all times. Perhaps that’s what Julian was coming to accept. He wanted to believe he was getting better and other than the small relapse in Aspen he felt like he was. With the help of Sophie and his friends he felt like he was moving toward normality, however he still felt like he needed to pack every moment of his life with things. He’d been offered better jobs and more stable jobs but at the end of the day he wanted to work a lot, he didn’t care if it was for shit pay. It kept him busy and kept his mind on things that were safe.
To Julian there were two paths that parted from the position they were in, there was the path that hurt Sophia now. It was a short path, it was a sharp right that left her hurt and feeling like she had done something wrong. It was a cruel path. The other path was winding and long. The path gave Sophie hope that he was better, it improved their relationship and put them closer and closer but as he knew who he was he knew it would also end with her hurt. He knew he would break again eventually. How could he pull her down some long path and lead her to a place where she truly believed he was better, just to hurt her worse. It was beyond cruel. Especially knowing that she could get by without him. She didn’t need him, not like he needed her.
He nodded in agreement and stood to the side as Apollo ran up toward Sophie’s feet. “Come in. Now’s a fine time” he encouraged.
He already felt like shit for the argument they had via text but he had ran into Bella and it destroyed him mentally. He saw how she perceived him. She spoke to Julian like he was a curse. Not an infection that could heal and eventually pass, like a curse that would never pass or go away. Perhaps he was. “Come on—” he said again urging her to come inside. “Do you want coffee or something? Alcohol? Water?” he asked as he moved into his kitchen to grab himself a drink. “I’m not entirely sure how or where we start this”.
Most people believed that Sophia was quite different from the rest of her family, and in some ways they were right. However, she wasn’t immune to the unhealthy coping habits that her family fell into. Her addictions were more hidden, and their destructive nature was less obvious. So much of her time had been spent trying to disassociate herself from the demons that her family faced, that she didn’t ever try to actually deal with them. Sophia had spent a lot of her childhood resenting both of her parents. She didn’t want to be angry, but it was a natural response to her situation. However, Sophia eventually realized that as hard as it had been living with her father - he had been the one that stayed. He might not have been very fatherly, but at least he didn’t completely abandon them.
Sophia was hoping that whatever was going on between her and Julian was something they could move past. She had just gotten him back, she couldn’t imagine losing him all over again. Sophia would fight for him a hundred times over, and she could only hope that he’d do the same for her. She wasn’t even entirely sure what had happened, but she couldn’t help but blame herself. Sophia would be damned if he disappeared without giving her an explanation at the very least. If she had any shot at fixing things she’d gladly take it.
Immediately, Sophia picked up the pup and held him to her chest. “Hi buddy, I missed you too” she greeted, allowing him to lick her face.
It wasn’t intentional, but Sophia hesitated for a moment. She was nervous, and usually she didn’t feel that way around her brother, but she couldn’t quite shake the feeling that she was going to loose him. However, she found herself walking into the apartment and as if on auto pilot she slipped off her shoes and followed him towards the kitchen. “Uh alcohol sounds great” she shrugged. A soft, hollowed laugh escaped her, “I’m not sure either,” she admitted. Sophia absentmindedly rubbed behind Apollo’s ears - keeping her from panicking all together. “Where did all of that come from?” she asked hesitantly, chewing the inside of her cheek.

@sophia-reed-rp
Logan had been in a funk for the last week. When he found out the city was honoring his father from his little sister it left such a sour taste in his mouth. Logan knew that his father didn’t deserve any of the praise they gave him. He was the person Logan respected least in the world but who would believe him? What’s done was done and the villian got his happy ending this time. He had become very withdrawn choosing to spend a lot of time in his apartment or working out.
Logan knew people close to him were probably noticing that he was withdrawn and absent. Sure when he was in public he was still the life of the party and the funny guy but when he was on his own or around those that he knew better he was insufferable and had a complete wall around himself. So when he heard a knock at his door he was surprised he hadn’t agreed to any plans and couldn’t think who would just show up at his door. Answering he saw Sophie. “Hey Soph what’s up?”
It had been a while since Sophia had heard from Logan, and that in itself was strange. Ever since they had became friends, it was rare for them to go more than a couple days without speaking. He was her best friend, and someone that had been a constant in her life. When he wasn’t around, Sophia absolutely noticed, and frankly it worried her. There were few things that would make Logan retract so much that he pulled away from her. Sophia had tried texting him but she hadn’t gotten much of a response.
After nearly a week, Sophia decided it was time to go see what was going on. While she had her own issues to deal with, she was far more concerned about her friend, and being around him would ultimately help her. Logan always had a way of putting her in a better mood. Sophia brought down a couple movies, and a bottle of wine for them to share. She knocked on his door and waited patiently for it to open. A bright smile formed on her face, only a hint of concern shining through, “Hey love, I’ve missed you. I’ve got wine and movies, are you free?” she asked, fully intending to lead into the conversation about what’s been bothering him.

Olivia had been out partying that night. She had been doing it a lot more often lately as she had been really feeling in a funk and if she could get her mind off of things dancing in a crowd of people then she would. Finding herself walking home at a late hour of the night, or at this point was it morning? She spotted someone she wasn’t expecting to see out this late Sophia. When the girl approached Olivia noticed that she was a little worse for the wear. Growing up and staying so close to Julian she knew that she and Sophia weren’t as close but she definitely felt a strong connection for the girl and did care about her so seeing her looking like someone hurt her made Olivia very concerned. “Y-yeah I’m fin.. Sophie are you okay?” She asked the girl not trying to make her feel put on the spot or like she was prying but out of genuine care.
It wasn’t that Sophia went out of her way to cause fights, but she definitely didn’t shy away from partaking in them. With her stress levels through the roof her resolve was much easier to break, hence why she had gotten involved in the first place. It was something she could do to help someone else and something to take her mind off of her emotional pain. Running into someone she knew, especially someone so close to her brother, hadn’t exactly been on her agenda. While her and Olivia weren’t the closest, she didn’t feel anything negative towards her either - in fact, she like Olivia, cared for her even. Her first reaction was to shut down the conversation; she didn’t like when people pried, however, she knew Olivia was genuinely worried. So, Sophia gave a soft smile, “It’s not as bad as it looks” she reassured. “I’m okay, I swear. It was uh - just a little spat I guess” she replied, trying to downplay the situation.

A small chuckle left Oliver’s lips when she told him to tell her about himself, but the bartender caught his attention. Oliver took his credit card back from him, and put it in his pocket again, then picked up his own drink from the counter, taking a long sip of it, before leaning down to look Sophie in the eye. Oliver cocked an eyebrow, a sly smirk on his lips, “S’not really the place to get to know someone.” The hand that had been on her hip tightened slightly, pulling them a little closer and he licked his lips.
Hearing him chuckle made her want to make him laugh all the time; it was warm. Sophia took a long, easy sip from her glass, before her eyes looked back up to meet his. A small grin formed on her lips as she shrugged, “S’ppose not” she agreed smiling. Her breath hitched slightly as his hand tightened around her waist, a small smirk growing across her lips. She leaned back against him but tilted her head upward to look at him. “There’s more than one way to get to know someone” she replied, raising her eyebrow suggestively.

“Oh, now I was thinking about being well behaved and just sticking with a beer or something but now that you’ve mentioned shots… I’m feeling shots.” Admittedly, Poppy had a hard time saying no to such things. The bartender stopped in front of them, and she looked over at Sophia with a small smirk. “So… tequila then?”
“See, I can be young and wild” she teased brightly. Having an old friend back in town was exactly what Sophia needed to lighten her spirits. She nodded her head, “I’ll never say no to tequila” she admitted with a grin, and with that she ordered them a round of shots. “So, are you staying here for a while? I miss seeing your lovely face around”

“Look at us being adults and grown up. What happened I want to go back I demand it.” He said with a laugh. “We should do something get out of the city for a day or something.”
“Right, I’d like a refund please!” Sophia laughed, leaning her head on his shoulder. “Well you know I could never say no to a day away from good ole Denver” she smiled, “I would love that”

opheliawinfield:
“Your brother named his dog Apollo?” Ophelia asked, laughing. “Ah well, guess brilliant minds think alike. If your puppy was a girl, you could have named her Artemis.” Her favorite Greek goddess was probably Demeter, but Artemis definitely came in a close second. “They could have been the twins! How perfect would that have been? I like all the other options too though. Hercules would be a fun one. Or Orion if you like the hero route rather than the deity route.”
Ophelia waited while Sophia filled out all the paperwork, browsing through the pet adoption pamphlets that were laid out in the shelter. She smiled warmly at the woman behind the desk, practically bouncing on her heels in excitement. When they were finally allowed through, outside the door where the puppies were, she turned to Sophie. “I am so ready to be attacked by puppies. I’ve never been more ready for anything in my entire life.”
The swarm of puppies warmed Ophelia’s heart. She immediately picked up one of the little fluff balls, cuddling the pup to her chest. “Oh my gosh, I think I’ve died and gone to heaven,” she gasped. Reaching out with her free hand, she scratched Sophie’s chosen puppy behind the ears. “Aww, he’s positively precious! That was absolutely a yes. He’s probably been waiting for you to come back for him since they day you guys met.”
Sophia laughed, “He did! He’s a sweet boy” she grinned. She nodded her head, “I do believe you’re right. Honestly if the one that picked me was a girl I would have, but since he’s a he I had to rethink names” she admitted. Sophia always fluctuated between who her favourite Greek god/goddess was, but she was a fan of them all. “Ugh it would have been so cute! Ooh that would be fun too. I feel like I’ll know when I see him again” she mused.
It didn’t take her long to file the paperwork that she needed; mostly because she had watched others go through it all before - she wasn’t a stranger to how the shelter worked. A grin spread across her face as she watched the red head bounce around excitedly. “Me neither, come on” she grinned, taking her friend by the hand and dragging her in.
A laugh escaped her as she nodded, “It’s the best feeling in the entire world” she agreed. Pups brought a special kind of joy into the youngest Reed’s life. Her puppy easily leaned into the contact provided by Ophelia, making her smile. “See, he loves his Godmother already” she grinned. “I hope so, because I’ve been waiting to come get him” Sophia admitted. “Isn’t that right Hercules?” she asked, watching as the pup turned his attention to her. Her eyes widened as she looked over to her friend, “Hercules it is I think”

andrew-hale:
“Nothing wrong with that. I’ve been there before.” Andrew smiled. It wasn’t too often he became so engrossed in a show that he binged it. Sophie’s following statement had him letting out a small laugh. “I wouldn’t even know where to start, but I’m an open book. That counts for something, right?” Teasing or not, Andrew was the same way. He loved to hear about others, what they liked. What made them tick. Andrew made a face, barring his teeth. “I don’t know about lovely. It was a little chaotic at times. Good chaotic, though.” He tilted his head, brow slightly furrowed. “Kind of a younger sister?” he repeated her words. Truly, Andrew had no complaints about his siblings. He had nothing but love for them. “That’s good. And yeah, I would have to agree. Family’s important.”
Sophia nodded her head in agreement, there really wasn’t anything wrong with binging tv, as long as it didn’t interfere with the responsibilities of life. A bright smile crossed her lips, “That definitely counts for something” she agreed. Sometimes Sophia wished she was an open book, but opening up wasn’t really something she was good at; not in a way that counted. “Chaotic good is the best way to be sometimes” she laughed. Sophia nodded her head, “I uh- I had a foster sister for a few years, and we’re still close. She’s my sister in every way but blood” she admitted, her voice softening - giving way to some vulnerability. “It definitely is, I don’t know where I’d be without mine”

“No i’m sure you didn’t.” Emilia replied in her usual stiff voice, it might sound like she was annoyed to the other girl but she didn’t really care. The one thing the blonde wasn’t fussed about were peoples opinions of her. “No, it’s not doable even in a dream, so it’s best if we all just forget about it and carry on as we are.” She shot her a tight smile, letting out a tiny laugh although there was no warmth in it. “Well good, because thats not the way to get one.”
Sophia smiled softly. She was fairly used to people being blunt, and it didn’t really bother her. The uncaring tone rolled off of her, and frankly, she figured if Emilia didn’t want to talk with her, she wouldn’t. “As much as I’d love to be the optimist, you’re right. There’s nothing we can do about it so it’s best not to fret about it” she shrugged. It was a painful truth, but something she had directly dealt with. Sophia smiled, “No it’s not, but I don’t mind”

She raised an eyebrow as Sophia smirked “And what’s that smirk for?” She smiled at her with a laugh before she shrugged her shoulders. “Rice and fish?”
“Oh no reason,” she grinned, teasing the blonde lightly. Sophia smiled brightly, “Fish and rice it is my love. What kind of vegetable do you like?”

“But if he’s gonna make you happy then don’t let me stand in your way, okay? I - I don’t want to be the reason you’re ot happen.” She would get used to it. SHe would have to and besides… she meant it when she said that she would just rather Sophia be happy. Wasn’t that what you were supposed to do for your best friend? “You wouldn’t. Ever.” She stated as she reached for her hand. “I can’t really talk anyway..”
Sophia raised her eyebrow at her friend, trying to gage what she truly thought of the situation. “You know if it really were to bug you though I’d gladly step back, right? You’re way more important to me than any boy ever will be” she reassured. Sophia loved the selfless side of Marissa, but she would never want to put her friend in an upsetting position. She easily took the offered hand and gave her friend a tight squeeze, “Oh you can’t?”
