glorious
how does it feel to be adored?
how does it feel to be loved by you?
let me have a taste?
an ounce?
a sprinkle of your love
rain down on me
let me soak in your love
let me be seen in your light
let me bask in all your glory

cacao ceremony 11/02/2024
My reflections during a cacao ceremony in nyc.
Cacao ceremonies promote feelings of completeness, ecstasy, and love.
~
Grammy and Papa are together
They are still dancing in the clouds
and swirling together in the seas of hawaii
We are making monkey faces
I am curled up on Grammy's lap
I am picking her lemons and
we are making lemonade
She is giving me neck kisses
until I laugh and can't take anymore
Their love is unconditional
I see Papa singing "You are my sunshine"
with tears rolling down his freckled face
They are finally together again
and their love has never run out

My grandfather read our futures in the sand
It's no wonder
I can see without eyes

clench
Do you ever catch yourself balling up your fists?
Squeezing so tightly
Holding onto... nothing?
As if nothingness is what you are afraid to lose
As if you haven't lost every part of yourself already
Are you holding onto what is left of you?
Desperately aching to restore what is left
Clenching to soothe the touch you've been deprived of
The kind of touch you wanted all this time
Instead of the touch that was forced onto your small frame
When you realize your hands are aching from clenching so tight,
Are you able to release them?
Or is this your homeostasis, your norm?
Afraid to let go
Scared to lose even more of yourself
Trying to hang on to what remains
Will you ever rest again?
