“Heavenly?” He asked, “You make it sound like such a dream. I know I’m great, but… heavenly?” He leaned in and gave Stephen another kiss, this time on the corner of his lips. Stephen was running his hands through his hair, which normally he would mind. If it were anyone else. Edward leaned back from his boyfriend and placed a hand on his cheek. “You know, Oswald gives me the weekends off. You should give me a drawer here and I can stay every single weekend. It’ll be like living together part time.” 

“Let me compliment you as I wish.” he teased lightly, closing his eyes and just relaxing. “Now that sounds great.” he kissed him one more time, before sitting up. “You can have as many drawers as you’d like. Actually.” he looked at the time, before looking back at his boyfriend. “I have a plan for us today.” He had been planning this day for a while now, and he couldn’t help but feel excited.

Stephen let out a soft sigh, relaxing against Ed’s form. He ran a hand through dark locks of hair. His worries reduced to nothing when he was there with his boyfriend. But sometimes he wished he had more time for it. “Me too.” he murmured, now grabbing at the smaller male’s side. “Waking up to you was heavenly, you know. When we lived together. It made it almost impossible to get out of bed.” he smiled softly, thinking of the little world they had created during that time.

Stephen had handled the situation pretty well, or so he thought. He had flown down, swooping in on some dimensional creatures that were getting a bit out of hand. He sent them back to their dimension easy, but it took a bit of physical effort. He wiped at his brow, walking back towards his boyfriend that he had left off to the sidelines. “Sorry about that, dear.” he rubbed at the back of his neck, “Can’t have a date without some dimensional leakage, I guess.”

Stephen gave Edward a gentle smile, "You're sweet. I'll be able to eat some of your cooking. Just...not very much." He explained, "I'm at least going to try it. I bet you're wonderful at it." Stephen remembered the shower incident and immediately got flustered. "I didnt mean to impose like that. I wasn't in a good headspace to control my magic correctly." He looked at the two ties he was holding up, "I'm glad you think so. This used to be my whole world. I was rich when it came to material things, but I lacked compassion and relationships. I don't ever want to be like that again."

Stephen smiled, nodding. “Yes, it was.” he looked at some other things around the store. “That sounds amazing. I haven’t been to your place in a while now.” he paused, clearing his throat. “Tie. Why don’t you help me pick out the whole ensemble? You’re so good with colors, dear.” he told him, nodding over to the large display. “I’m really happy you’re here actually. I haven’t been able to walk into one of these stores confidently for a long time.” he admitted. “This isn’t really my life anymore.”

“Oh, and do bring something that fits in your dietary restrictions. I know you don’t like eating in front of me, but I hardly mind.” He did wish that he could make something that Stephen would be able to enjoy too. It saddened him that he never got to cook for him. He liked to cook for the people that he loved. “Yeah, it has been a while.” He agreed. “You haven’t been in since what? You appeared outside my shower?” He joked. Grabbing a nice, dark tie and a silver one. Holding it up against Stephen so he could gage it. “I’m happy to see you here too. Maybe you should come more often. You’re handsome in a suit, you know.”

Stephen hummed. “Ed. His intellect. His sense of fashion that’s also very nice.” he paused. “God his eyes. I could write essays on them.”

Edward couldn’t help but smile as Stephen spoke about his degrees. He always found it attractive that Stephen was intelligent. He could keep up with him. He didn’t have to slow down or reword anything when he went on a ramble. “Oh, yeah?” He asked, “The same time? Sounds like a lot of studying.” His heart nearly skipped when Stephen said the word date. Which was dumb, because Ed had said it first. It was just different when it came from the other man. “Good.” He replied. “Because I’m giving you no choice on the matter anyway.” Ed reached other and adjusted Stephen’s suit for him. “Chez moi. Oswald’s going to be out tonight. I’ll make dinner, you bring the wine.” 

Stephen smiled, nodding. “Yes, it was.” he looked at some other things around the store. “That sounds amazing. I haven’t been to your place in a while now.” he paused, clearing his throat. “Tie. Oswald had been making his normal rounds, Edward had planned most of his day’s since he once again asked the male to be his running mate. He was quite happy that he’d asked the male for help when he told him that he was running for Mayor yet it very noticeable a certain someone was back in his best friend’s life. He can’t say he didn’t have to beat back the little amount of jealously that peeked at the idea of Stephen being back in Edward’s life. He was lost in thought when he felt someone bump into him almost sending him to the ground before he looked at the male about to fire back. “Nothing I can’t handle” He muttered before turning towards Stephen fully “Hello Stephen, It’s been awhile” He replied coolly

Stephen stared when he saw that he had bumped into Oswald. He felt instantly awkward, and decided to act as naturally as he could. “Hello Oswald. It has. How are you?” he asked, out of politeness alone. He didn’t want to come off as rude. After all, Ed was his friend. He had to respect that. “Would you like faster transportation? I could summon a portal for you. A lot easier than walking.” he offered, hoping he would take it as a kind gesture.

“Of course I did, I have a photographic memory.” He replied, almost as though he was insulted that Stephen thought he might forget. He remembered everything when it came to Stephen. His favourite things, how he liked to spend his nights… He couldn’t just forget things like that. Ed gave him a smile and looked him over. “I think it’s so nice you should wear it on our date tonight.” He said smoothly, then Stephen winked at him and it shook his confidence a bit. It was oddly cute when he did that, he used to do it all the time when they were dating. “I- uhm… if you want to that is.”

Stephen nodded, “Right, Of course.” he paused, “You know, I have one too. At least I did in college. It’s how I got my MD and my PhD at the same time.” he chuckled, looking at the other fondly. He had so many memories with him, and they were still so clear in his mind. It made him happy to reflect on them. “Oh? A date tonight?” Ed taking the reins was something very new to him, but he wasn’t going to pass up the opportunity. “I very much want to, Ed.” he looked in the mirror again. “Where are you taking me then? Or is it a surprise?”

“Don’t get up just yet, I’ll miss having you next to me.” (Ed)

Stephen had moved to get up. Mainly because his brain had been so restless lately. Things that he could be doing around the sanctum went through his mind. The sorcerer was sure the man laying next to him was asleep, but it seemed he had been wrong. “Alright.” he murmured gently, going to lay back down next to Edward. He looked at him for a moment, his eyes still hazy from sleep. “I won’t leave. I’m right here.” he whispered, reaching a shaking hand up towards dark locks of hair. “We can sleep for a bit longer if you wish.”

Stephen rolled his eyes, leaning back against the wall. He was half considering not telling Loki-- but he knew that he’d be able to tell. He rubbed his cheek again, trying to look annoyed, but he was actually enjoying the other’s company. “Well,” he started, looking at the floor. “I believe Ed and I are...together again. Which, to be quite honest about my feelings, I’ve never really fallen out of love with him.”

Loki smirked at the male for a moment wondering if there were to be any kind of reparations for daring to hit the sorcerer when there didn’t seem to be any he found himself shrugging. “Truthfully? I sort of wanted to see what you’d do, that and you had a rather creepy look on your face for like half an hour” he replied looking over the documents once again “You in love again or something?”

It was fortunate being half kryptonian in a moment like this,  so when someone would bump into him it doesn’t REALLY hurt him. Jon knew how to act like it did though just by chance the wrong person learned his secret. The boy smiles over at the man, a sense of reassurance that it was okay. “I’m not hurt. Are you alright? I didn’t mean to get in your way — I’ve been so distracted lately.” Which isn’t good when it comes to being in the city. “Why aren’t you going inside?” Jon asks gesturing to the shop.

Stephen was happy to hear he wasn’t hurt. He held up a hand, nodding. “I’m fine.” When he was further questioned, however, he turned to look at the shop. “I guess I haven’t been clothes shopping in a very very long time. Not that it’s that noticeable.” he joked a bit, motioning to his sort of lazy looking attire. “I used to dress a lot more sharply, if you can believe it.”

Stephen stepped back a few steps, not quite registering the sting of the slap yet. He widened his eyes, looking at Loki. “What the hell was that for?” he questioned. He hadn’t seen the man in a while, and the last time they had spoken he thought they were okay. Perhaps he had done something?

It had been days since their heated conversation at the Halloween party, weeks even. He was sure that the man owed him a date. So when he saw him staring blankly out a shop window, he decided to make a move. Edward walked into the store and glanced around. A pretty blue suit jacket catching his attention. He grabbed Stephen’s size and began walking up to him. But the man backed into him instead. He stumbled back from him awkwardly. This wasn’t how he wanted this encounter to go at all. Ed bit the inside of his cheek, reaching up and adjusting his glasses. “No, I’m fine. I caught myself in time. I just- I thought this might look nice on you.”

Stephen was happy to see Ed. He had been meaning to come see him after the party, but wasn’t sure if he should give him some time to think things over. The last thing he wanted to do was overwhelm the man. He looked at the jacket in his hands, and smiled, taking it. “You remembered my size.” he removed it from the hanger, putting it on and straightening himself. “Fits like a glove. What do you think?” he gave the other a little turn, and just because he knew Ed would like it, a wink afterwards.
