its genuinely so exciting whenever audio drama gets featured in a major paper (this time, the seattle times!) but I especially loved talking to Gemma Wilson about how big money may not being pouring into AD anymore, but those that are still making shit are doing it because we love it.

honestly, the last two years I've been more broke than I've been since @thebrightsessions first blew up but I'm feeling even more invigorated about the medium than ever

they are here. they exist and they are plentiful. you just need to stop listening to the same show 3 shows made by white men on repeat. it is always so painfully clear to me the difference between people who are fans of Audio Drama as a medium and people who are fans of (insert big show here). When their chosen fixation fails to provide the representation that they claim to advocate for, they make up for it via diverse headcanons instead of listening to shows Made by marginalized communities.

Audio Drama Casting on Bluesky

Hey folks! Inspired by the TTRPG Casting call feed on bluesky, I have made a feed specifically for audio drama casting calls! It can be a challenge for creators to have their casting calls seen by actors, and it can be equally as hard for actors to find work.

If you are currently casting, please repost your casting call with #audiodrama and #casting to be caught on the feed and share this around so other creators know to include the hashtags and so actors can keep an eye on the space!~

The main character of our show, Soul Operator, is a woman! We have been described as an emotional horror show, with the first season taking place in a liminal neighborhood that been pulled out of reality. No one knows who they are or how they got there. We just finished our first season, so check us out!

The latest season of @thewhitevault, Goshawk, primarily focuses on several female characters. The setting and lore are horrifying in a way that gets right under your skin.

Parkdale Haunt centers women and their relationships to each other with a paranormal and supernatural backdrop.

Nowhere, On Air is a great option, I adore Jess and the way the show is written. Who doesn't love a spooky radio show?

The Department of Variance of Somewhere Ohio is a psychedelic take on the Weird SCP like facility which primarily features women.
