she takes a breath.
the nerves tick; it pounds against her skin. sowon feels the threatening sense of nervousness. but its okay. she repeats. on a continuous loop in her mind, she forces paragraphs of encouragement. its going to be okay. “yong sowon.” she speaks. its so quiet, the bouncer leans in. but seconds and a scan of the guest list, and shes let in. theres a nervous grip on the sides of her dress, she rather avoid a tumble and glances at the packed warehouse. theres a wave of awkwardness. she has no date. no one was willing to attend as her partner. and so she stares. a smile, awkward and embarrassing on her lips. this was supposed to be normal for the young girl. spotlight something she has been pampered with as a blood bank, as a meal. but shes alone. and this time theres nothing she can provide in return.
in minutes, sowon returns to being the dreaded individual she threw away. the sowon that was rejected from even breathing and she feels her anxiety wrap around her. calm down. she again speaks through her mind. its a weak attempt to calm her weaker conscious. still she stares. eyelashes with extensions and dolled up lids, glance to notice a familiar presence. theres relief that settles as she sees hyunmin. a man that she actually knows. sowon draws a smile. she can be safe now. but as she steps forward, her navy heels peeking from underneath the long gown, she notices another presence following the vampire. theres a pause and the female watches. its a beautiful woman, with a young face and a slender body. a gorgeous individual that stands beside hyunmin as if its her natural spot. sowon backs down. her stare detaches after a longful gaze. ah. he was with someone. theres a frown but it refuses to settle upon reddened lips as the human turns around.
perhaps she would find someone else.
and on cue, she sees seunghee. theres immense happiness upon her discovery. her sister: a haven her anxiety could not enter. although the female was informed the younger would attend, sowon didn’t peep news about tagging along. she knows siwon would be there as well. it was a moment that she could not dare ruin. and as she sees a sudden man, sowon could not help but draw a smile. hopefully that was siwon. his identity evidently hidden but theres a bow from her angle and then theres what seems to be a invite to a dance. thats my girl.
stepping back into the shadows to keep hidden from seunghee, sowon knows damn well, the other would run to her if she was seen. and that was not about to happen. so the human heads to the other side of the warehouse. theres alot of people but its weird. her stare runs across the dancing couples. smiles on the faces of those dressed in their fanciest. loneliness was her only companion. but theres an obvious reason why as she spreads a gentle smile to a crowd she passes.
it was then a man comes into view and sowon stays quiet. she doesn’t bother moving. but somehow it resembles taekyung. a male that she appreciates but her feet keep place. she sees he’s occupied with a figure. another breath-taking beauty; another sign she was not needed.
sowon sighs. she looks down at her attire for the night. something she worked on for days, tarnished paychecks for and feels embarrassed. what was she thinking coming to such a place? what was she thinking of walking into a world that worked wonders with or without her? the female is now in the corner. the shadows indulging her as she ironically finds herself back in the darkness. theres no eyes on her. no one that acknowledges the awkward, mess of a girl and she chews on the bottom of her lips. perhaps it was not a place for her, after all.
she reaches for her phone as dark blue polished fingernails run across her screen, she finds the name she was looking for. ansook. sowon remembers the young cha bragging about the party. perhaps he was there. interested in her company. however as the phone connects but a voice does not answer, the female raises a brow. “hello?” she greets. it takes a second. two and then three, but ansook still does not reply. the human frowns, brown orbs retreating to the screen of her phone to see its still connected. but as shes about to speak once more, it cuts and sowon hears the dial tone.
another rejection.
sowon stands in her spot. seconds turning into minutes as she watches the amazement before her. the music was overpowering. a playlist that created magic over the warehouse. she sees couples interacting. bodies against bodies and fingers intertwining like they’re afraid to let go. she notices friends, cheering on the sidelines while chugging some drinks. sowon notices the world before her. it was nice, magical and theres a smile.
maybe one day she’ll be apart of that; wanted and all.
moving from her spot, the female returns back to the entrance. she ignores the looks of the bouncer as she politely escapes through the doors. you did well. sowon whispers to herself. and she did. she was brave and that was enough for the night. slender fingers reach for the lace behind her mask, untying the strings before she frees herself from the decoration.
‘lets go home, sowon’ she states before heading down the darkness. maybe tomorrow seunghee or ansook, or even taekyung would tell her stories about everything shes daring to miss as steps take her away from the thriving warehouse.

brhyunmin:
a soundless smirk found its way onto hyunmin’s lips. she continued the gentle push and pull, the game of giving and taking, continued to walk the thin line of pretending and revelation. he liked it because it was reminiscent of their first encounter, the gradual approach of two new people who were ultimately searching for the same goal whenever they sought the shelter of the establishment. “you know what?” he said, his voice low for the words only meant to be heard by sowon. his gaze meeting hers again, those dark eyes looking up at him. “i think we will manage.” no further words were necessary. his hand wrapped around hers, his touch reassuring and firm. hyun turned away from the bar, eyeing the door at the other side of the large place which would lead them to the private rooms, away from the nosy audience, where vampires and human could submerge themselves into the perverse desires of their species. in front of him, the crowd parted like the red sea. on nights when sowon frequented the bar, no other blood bag had a chance of getting a piece of hyunmin anyway, it was futile. his aim was set on her only and it remained that way as they made their way to the back door. hyun could feel heat starting to simmer deep within his core. he was starting to get impatient. was this how level e vampires felt? the immense hunger overwhelming them at the sight of their victim? probably, but also worse. as a man of the old school, he opened the door for her. “pretty ladies first, please.”
as hands found hers, sowon keeps her response, leaves it unspoken. she knows hyun had made his decision. and that sparks something up her back. so theres no look over her shoulder. she does not eye the guest that she abandoned. he was not worth a second glance this moment and steps pick up, following the older vampire. sowon automatically knows what hyunmin is up to. his reassuring grasp something she became familiar with.
all eyes are upon them. the two demonstrating a show that no one prepared and sowon is reminded why hyunmin was her favorite.
he had gifted her spotlights. something she was deprived from since birth.
as the man of her hour opens the door, sowon curves a smile. thats her 'thank you'. she doesnt free either of them from the grip however as she steps inside and gently tugs hyunmin after. a sign she was also eager. ready. anticipating for whatever he had to show. "too bad we can’t put on a show for them. it would have been fun if people saw what you do to me." sowon says. theres amusement flickering her voice as she glances back down the area. the thrill of their future sending her memories of their first interaction. “but are you sure you want me today? i mean there are many new blood bags in town.” she doesnt help but question. although its said for the moment, sowon would do whatever she can to recapture hyunmin’s attention if it drifts.

brjinri:
eyes sparkle in the disco lights as sowon orders another round, her care and generosity knew no boundaries tonight. “thanks!” she happily exclaims at the high rating of her magnificent rhyme. her arms remained wrapped around the older’s neck, a position so comfortable she could fall asleep standing. as big, glazed eyes looked up at the human, jinri wondered. wondered why not everyone else was as enchanted by sowon as she was. why the entire room wasn’t shaking under the gentle steps of her high heels, why all the others didn’t need to catch their breath when she flipped her hair, why no one else needed a couple seconds of recovery when her piercing eyes grazed them. why was she the only one? just for tonight, that was alright. after pouring all of her love, energy and time into the youngest song until she had nothing more left to give, it was nice to receive. it was nice that sowon demanded to invite her, it was pleasant to have someone listen to what jinri had to stay, it was calming to always feel a gentle, reassuring touch on her back when they moved through the crowd. just for tonight, that was fine. a wave of giggles. “haha! you called me beautiful!” jinri said in a mocking tone, sticking her tongue out as if sowon had just admitted an embarrassing fact about herself. she didn’t quite know what to say to the other’s rejection of her gratitude. again, she wasn’t used to having someone there for her because of her, not because of what she had to give. she freed sowon from her embrace, arms dropping to her sides as one hand found sowon’s to intertwine fingers. “come dance with me, unnie,” she said, taking a few steps backwards towards the dancefloor and pulling the other along.
"you are beautiful." sowon says immediately. like she did not need any research or second clarification. and she didn't. beautiful jinri was. a gorgeous girl, with a smile that brightens a room. but a pearl that saw itself rusty. at that, arms tighten just barley around the younger's waist. a silent reassurance her words were honest. sowon holds back on the next batch of drinks, feeling her loss of control. this night was supposed to be for the pretty lady before her, and the human should keep some composure to make sure that happens.
she then glances down at the feeling of intertwined fingers. her sliver rings clashing against jinri's soft hands as a smile paints her lips. ignorant to the lack of confidence, sowon was someone that enjoyed loosing herself in music. so jinri's offer was more than satisfying as she nods. "im following" she says, excited. abandoning her spot on the stool, sowon follows, taking steps towards jinri before she moves in front and leads the young girl into the crowd. the female stops only once they reach the middle. their small bodies being engulfed by strangers around them as she pulls jinri right close to her.
a smile and a stare as sowon is ready to drown into the music. "lets see your moves," she yells above the chosen song as she falls into its beat, herself.

brhyunmin:
frankly, hyun didn’t care. he had no interest in the personal reasonings for a blood bag of her kind to still stick and dwell with a gluttonous drinker like him. all he could see tonight that she looked perfect. her rosy cheeks on pale skin made hyun lick his lips ever so slightly. she somehow managed to look slim and elegant and yet ripe like a plum, practically begging for a bite in her tender flesh. and he was not one to deny her that transcendental pleasure. he liked the glint in her eyes as she was looking up at him, it told him that she was beyond ready for their well versed and practiced dance. “mhm”, the deep hum to confirm her assumption. back in town, better and hungrier than ever before. he could only imagine that sowon would happily welcome the fact that he was going to stay longer than usual, it would keep her wallet well fed. now it was up to hyun to remind himself to not frequent this place daily, eventually he would be the one to push the human over the door step into death if their ritual was turned into anything that extended a weekly meeting. but greed and gluttony were hard to control sins. “care to spare some time for me? or are you …”, he spoke up again, eyes briefly wandering off to the slightly outraged guest sowon had been exchanging friendly greetings with seconds before. “… busy?” a strand of her dark hair was being run between hyun’s index and middle finger. don’t play with your food, hyunmin he could hear his mother and sister say in the back of his head. he knew the answer to his question, it was written in the stars before he had even taken a step into the establishment and yet he liked to play the game, as always. maybe it ran in the family.
playing with life and death was an addiction; a type of drug that not most find pleasure in. but it was what brings her back to hyunmin. an interesting relationship that builds on an act of giving and receiving; where the brave vampire was not the slightest bit afraid in showing her white lines and arousing pain. moreover, it was a relationship that meant nothing.
she was a meal. and he was a bank. it was as simple as that.
as her assumption gets confirmed with his hum, a mischievous smile taints her lips. it was pleasing to hear. her time spent with hyunmin, a time she had found excitement in. regardless of the money and his endless hospitality. her stare then follows his and sowon glances at her abandoned guest. the stranger's displeasure rides his features and sowon almost feels apologetic. unfortunate for them all, hyunmin's presence was undefeatable. "im not sure." sowon replies but its merely a joke. "i will be abandoning a man that seems to be sending us glares at the moment." theres an amused grin as she allows him to play with her hair.
she acknowledges his invite. theres that hidden meaning with his question, one that she knows will bring her cravings satisfaction. but perhaps a game of push and pull would be more thrilling that an act of simple obedience ? after all, both were the type to get what they wanted in the end.

brtaekyung:
@sowonbr!
sighing, taekyung idly scratched his nose as he resisted the urge to take another look at his phone. great, it’s his first ‘official’ day of his three-day break and he’d already been stood up by his—friend. date. thing. he’s not even sure what he can call this, other than him trying his best to have a social life outside of the order. well. that, and it’s lowkey still sort of order business. because sowon’s an odd one. being a willing bloodbag for a vile creature like vampires? he has no idea what she’s thinking, honestly. but at the same time, she could give him intel that no one else quite could due to her close proximity to these beings.
still, if he’s being honest, he’d much prefer her to quit letting them feed off of her altogether. their friendship’s a bit unorthodox, sure, because hell, they’d met at one of her part-time jobs where he’d realized her hobby when he saw the puncture wounds on not only her neck but also other places, and plain-out asked if she had a death wish. but he’d begun to care about her and her wellbeing. that’s why he’d orchestrated a day for them to have a bit of fun together, wanting to show her that there’s much more to life than simply getting high off of vampire toxins. but in order for his little plan to work… she’d actually have to show up first.
sowon glances at her phone. the message from taekyung continues to mock her as she draws a breath. in the midst of a random conversation, she had found herself accepting his invitation to hang out. the tall male a walking confusion that lightened a relationship between them and it was one that sowon could not describe. not even to herself. but theres appreciation. a foreign feeling that she found herself questioning on a daily yet sowon was a fool for attention. especially if it involved affection. and taekyung seemed to shower her with both.
she stands outside their designated spot. the window gifts her eyes with the view of the inside, where she sees her friend. date. thing — and hesitation crawls under her fingertips. sowon appears confident. she would put on a show when theres a crowd. but alone, one-on-one, was another story and anxiety kicks in. such interactions presented a more realistic side of her. the boring side that was rejected from the world she desperately tried to impress. and ... brown orbs fall back onto the her phone, if taekyung saw her for that, left her for that, sowon would be hurt.
[ to » taekyung ]: maybe we should do this another time?

brminwoo:
the bar was filled with the sound of conversation, tinkling of red-tinted glasses, and a constant interaction that was not meant to be. minwoo was very well aware of the unlawful agreements taking place at the venue — he could not think of himself as above the visitors anymore, for he had committed worse misdemeanors. a crime he would keep in secret for the rest of his personal eternity.
his job routine in these places ultimately led him to hurried encounters to satisfy a different kind of thirst. those happenings were a common occurrence in such environment. not long ago, a human a couple years older than him had approached with an offer, but minwoo turned down his titillating eyes, even if he wanted to say yes. tonight was about funny business, which involved no distractions. better said than done.
because of his high alert, he was able to detect the girl as she walked towards him. she was a blood bag, and while his fangs had tantalized the curve of her neck, minwoo never drank from humans. sowon aided him in finding a distraction from his heavy workload. it was not only rare of him to remember her name, asking for it was already an oddity. he wondered what could have brought her back to him.
❝what expectations did you have of me, then?❞
minwoo was a man of mystery. their encounter a simple, straight to the point, sensation. she remembers: sharp teeth danced against desperate skin but his game devoured her with tease till the end. unlike most vampires, the other wasn't looking for a meal. although sowon had not minded, their moment pleasing, regardless, it left an imprint in her memory.
at his question, sowon smiles. she turns around and her back presses to the edges of the bar counter. her expectations of him? she was not so sure herself. "well as someone that asked for my name, but not my blood," she teases. but its with no harm. minwoo was an interesting man. "i expected more of a mystery" is then the answer as her stare falls onto the vampire before it drifts to the group of girls she had abandoned. "although if you are looking for a night, i do see some predatory eyes coming this way." sowon hints.
perhaps it was the comforting, mutual impressions that brought her back. or the unrealistic idea that these could become friends. if there were no emotions or a defined connection, sowon was able to let loose. minwoo seemed like someone that had understood that.

brseunghee:
once sowon and seunghee had been part-timers at the same convenience store. the younger girl immediately saw herself reflected in her coworker’s struggles and heartaches. it was a matter of oversharing (at least on her side) for their paths to entwine. sowon even made it to the han residence, which was not a place to brag about, but she decided to share and offer as a sanctuary. seunghee’s mother also grew fond of her, in the way one would for a child that was not yours.
( txt ⇢ my sowonnie ) where have you been? we’ve been worried ( txt ⇢ my sowonnie ) but i will forgive you since i like chocolate ( txt ⇢ my sowonnie ) don’t go overboard ( txt ⇢ my sowonnie ) i’m not at uni btw i’m paying mom a visit
she texted her back with agile fingers, already anticipating the first bite of chocolate cake. a pastry was better than when she bought her clothes to feel guilty about. seunghee suspected this was sowon’s way of apologizing for disappearing at night. while she was worried in regards to whatever activities her friend (and sister) engaged in, she did not dare to confront her. it was alright as long as the elder girl knew she could count on someone — seunghee was willing to fight anyone for her.
[ to » seungbear ]: to moms?
[ to » seungbear ]: is she alright? should i come visit?
[ to » seungbear ]: can i come visit?
sowon responds back. the subconscious feeling of worry goes pass her thoughts as she feels hesitation overwhelm her. seunghee was a gift in her life. her mother was a safe place. both meanings of life that kept her moving forward. but sowon could not help the feeling of intrusion. the hurtful truth that she was not related by blood, but a mere stranger that the hans ( with the heart of gold, ) had informally decided to adopt.
she glances at the rows of sweets on showcase. brown orbs trailing down numerous chocolate cakes to find a pretty one. "that one, please." sowon points to a frosted cake. the outside layer decorated with pink while the inside was chocolate. suitable to seunghee's impeccable color choices. "um," sowon mumbles as eyes fall on the confused woman behind the counter, "can you write 'i love you' in the corner, somewhere small?" she could not bring herself to be emotional, or sentimental but perhaps today she could try. the hans deserved it, after all.

she sits against the steps of ansook's house. and theres a bored sigh as fingers brush strokes on the screen of her phone. sowon was supposed to meet the youngest cha at his house. they had arranged to get dinner but it was expected that the tall brat couldn't get out of whatever pre-arrangements he had. now she was plan-less. moreover starving and she groans under her breath. regardless, it takes a couple of minutes. stubbornness and laziness playing a role as she acknowledges she was still in front of the house ( and should take her sorrow somewhere else. ) however as sowon was about to stand up, the door to the cha house opens and the human almost shudders at the sight of siwon. “sorry. i didn't mean to block the way.” she stumbles over her words as she stands up.
siwon. a man of mystery to yong sowon. from being friends with ansook, she had occasionally seen the male. enough to know that he had a close bond with the cha. but sowon had seen sides, moments where siwon had catered and pampered ansook's spoiled butt and she could not help the curiosity that settles in her whenever she sees him. “i was waiting for ansook.”

brjinri:
eyes closed, the party’s red, purple and green disco lights dancing as mere flashes through her eyelids as jinri sways to the sound of the beat. sowon had dragged her from the dance floor to the side of the bar, eager to shovel more toxins in their bodies. fine by jinri. previously to meeting the human jinri had pregamed, a charming word coined by those funny humans. otherwise she would still be entirely unaffected by all of this, pouring an exorbitant amount of booze into her until the bartender refused to serve her. this damn vampire dna. what didn’t leave her unaffected was heartbreak. it was a stretch to say jinri was merely acting tough, all bark and no bite. she could bite when she wanted, knowing when it was in her place to stand her ground and when it was alright to crumble. now, she was doing the latter and for some reason, sowon had taken it upon her to pick up those crumbles on jinri and carefully put them together with parties and alcohol. the best kind of glue. it was the fools’ hope to assume that alcohol would cure heartbreak but for tonight, jinri wanted to be as foolish as possible. happily she took a shot glass out of sowon’s hand, immediately drowning it like a parched man thirsty for water. “the only thing that would help is MORE BOOZE!” yelling the last two words earned her a soaring roar from a group of guys next to them, raising their glasses to her and taking her as an example, drowning the liquid. “suuuure it does!” her voice excited, close to slurring her words. “ahin who? i only have eyes for you! oh, a rhyme!” she giggled in excitement, slamming down her empty shot glass onto the table before wrapping her arms around sowon’s neck. “thanks for taking me out, unniiiiiee.” she send pouts and kissy faces sowon’s way, hoping she would accept her silly way of gratitude.
before seunghee came into her life, sowon was alone.
rejected from everything —from the smallest of pleasure, the world belittled her fragile heart. being wanted was a simple desire no one wanted to grant her.
before seunghee came into her life, sowon's savior was alcohol and drugs. a method of cooping to the harshness of their world. so as eyes seek to find the unspoken words in jinri's stare, sowon smiles. for this moment now, she would make sure the younger looses herself in her pleasure and the momentary happiness. “cheers!” sowon shouts right after the group beside them. she raises her glass a bit before following the trend and in seconds, her drink is done. “another round, please.” she yells back to the bartender upon understanding jinri. blackout or not, this night was going to be wild.
at the rhyme sowon laughed. it was adorable. intoxicated jinri meant a free and careless one, and it was worth all the bitter chugs. “wow. ten out ten. what a rhyme.” sowon responds, a grin the conclusion on her lips. she watches as the hwang wraps her arms and nods. “but you're right. we don't know no ahin. just beautiful jinri and sowon.” she exclaims. that was the purpose of their night and it seems like it had worked. hopefully it would also continue on tomorrow morning.
upon the pouts and lip-puckering faces, sowon chuckles. she reaches over to poke the other's nose before her hands drops to wrap around jinri's waist. “dont thank me. we're friends and im here for you, idiot.” she informs. still her words are covered with love. more than jinri, sowon was glad to have brought the younger outside. it feels a whole lot better seeing the vulnerable and special girl smile.

brhyunmin:
a return to seoul always brought many amenities to hyunmin. whether it was warmed bed sheets with ahin, the joy of riling up his sister and brother-in-law or spending time with his favourite niece. or this. killing time in the arguably the best vampire bar in seoul. downtown had a few brimming spaces, overflowing with life and enough victims humans who would to anything to have hyun drink even just a drop of their blood. but he frequented this particular one for a very specific reason with the name sowon. she was unlike any blood bag ( a tasteless name, really ) hyunmin had ever encountered. nearly all of them solely did it for the money. there was always a vampire with a secret hunger for human blood, demand was high and pay was good. he wasn’t dumb, he could hear sowon’s heart skip a beat whenever he pulled out a fat stack of money, maybe more she would make in an entire month. but in hyun’s eyes, it almost seemed like she enjoyed it. like there was some kind of thrill she was seeking from the experience, like it got her adrenaline pumping. admittedly, hyun was a merciless drinker. more than once he had brought her on the verge of death, had her walking on the fine line that led towards the light. it wasn’t that he couldn’t control himself, he was fully aware of what he was doing and who he was holding in his hands. it just had become their thing. she, craving the attention and the experience of feeling alive through death. he, always hungry and not shy of seeking devious ways to quench his greed. so naturally, here he was again. bright chatter and music filled up the place, it was full on a saturday night. many familiar faces, human and vampires greeted him with smiles, nods and waves. he responded to every single one of them but not stopping by for more. he had a target. it’s been months and he needed what he craved. hyun recognized her back from the very opposite side of the place - he had seen her behind often enough to be more than familiar with it. “hello”, he murmured into her ear, completely ignoring the company she was in. he had made the decision for sowon to be his tonight. “very happy to see you here tonight.” / / @sowonbr
the night ticks. and it reminds sowon just who shes entertaining. it tocks. and danger brushes against her skin each second. like wind. danger masked by pleasure. the thrill seeks through her. a psychopathic syndrome that keeps her on the edge of life. no one sane would understand. a blood bank was a name, its rewards worth it but the hurt was what kept her coming back. the game of life and death, of having no control, of experiencing being helpless, something she comes to enjoy.
but it was also the subtle feeling of being picked, chosen amongst the others. when its just her and the vampire, when her blood is what they desire. when their eyes are only on hers.
( lord, call her a psychiatrist. )
“please to meet you,” sowon greets. theres a smile against pink lips as she tries to settle herself in with the new company. despite the confident persona she presents, sowon was not a socializer. stumbling over words and facing anxiety from past trauma, it was hard to her to make an impression. fortunately, she has gotten better. either way, her attention gets stolen and sowon welcomes the deep voice at her ear. a shudder and she recognizes the intruder. hyunmin. a man of many memories. many special nights. theres a smile. wider than the first one and sowon steps back. enough for bodies to touch. she feels the bit of excitement that sweeps through her. “hello hyun.” sowon replies and excusing herself from the conversation, she bows her head lightly before turning around to face the handsome face. “back in town, are we?” she questions. her tone soft but with a mix of happiness.

back again in her most preferred vampire-infused bar, sowon scans the place. today she was not eyeing to be a bloodbag. perhaps though, she could lure in an prestige vampire with some of her other traits.
as usual, she finds herself ignoring the conversation from the group to her right. her companions for the night were a few girls that sowon came across during her times going out and she glances bored. her thoughts somehow flicker to seunghee in the midst of it all. the young, ambitious female would surely be disappointed in her choice of activities and she sighs. "hey!" a voice to her right whispers, and sowon follows fingers that point to a certain someone, "that one over there is handsome." as her stare adjusts to the man, sowon blinks in surprise. it was the one she had the privilege of meeting weeks before. someone that she came to know a whole lot in the bar's washroom. "oh. that one is mine, sorry." sowon replies. there is a soft smile as she informs the others of her departure. with no look back, the female then heads down towards the bar area.
thoughts collect as she looks at the male. the vampire was nice enough the first time. a huge contrast from the way he presents himself and sliding her body beside, sowon keeps her smile. "wasn't expecting to see you again." she greets, rather straight.

appreciating the choice of music, sowon glances at the bartender for their fourth round of drinks. she feels the faint buzz but her tolerance is high enough to keep going. “jinri,” she calls as she thanks the man behind the bar, “here.” and she hands her friend the next shot. the two had decided to hit up a club to celebrate the weekend. but, “how you feeling?” sowon questions right after. it was also an attempt to take jinri's mind off certain problems. or specifically, a certain person. theres subtle worry in sowon's face. she has been with the other through her disaster of a relationship. the warning signs and red-flags oblivious to the young woman that only asks for love and its disappointing. another reason why sowon gave up on humanity.
vampires or humans, everyone got hurt when feelings enter the crossfire.
she runs her fingers across the others hair, to move some strands from the younger's face. as long as sowon knew jinri, she could tell the other was just misunderstood. a rebellious adult with the purest of hearts. it was just unfortunate that most were unaware of it. maybe its why they even click. both invisible to the ones they wish to be visible for. “is this party even helping?” she questions once more.

shes worn out; drained; exhausted. the simple jung sowon life, a life she wishes to sometimes just give up on. but alas she couldn’t. she leaves her rundown apartment. the electricity bill notice her first greeting as she steps into her hallway. but she ignores it, lazily kicks the mail further underneath her door before heading towards the exit. sowon avoids thoughts of hitting up her ‘friends’. her work also starts in the midst of the night and reality again kicks in, she has no where to go.
it was then she remembers seunghee; the only person that sowon would die for.
reaching into her pocket, the female begins to send a text to the other.
[ to » seungbear ]: im buying cake. which favor would you like?
it was a subtle notice to the younger that sowon was coming over. seunghee's dorm and house, a safe haven that jung sowon spoils herself with. the world was not aware (wouldn’t even be aware if sowon screams it at the top of her lungs. because who cares about jung sowon anyways, right?) but the youngest was a blessing that became home for the unwanted older. with a thoughtful hum, she then slips her phone into the back pocket of her jeans and begins to walk towards a nearby pastry shop. hopefully seunghee would be fine with her intrusion.

here she is:
yong sowon, the camellia.
she was born in a family of three, on the countryside.
it was just her mother, her older sister and her at one point.
though throughout her life she was a nobody. wasn’t the prettiest or smartest person you would want to meet.
but she tried so fucking hard.
her mother focused more on making a living and her sister, with all her beauty and knowledge, continued to overshadow her.
sowon then moved to the city side. it was where dreams blossomed she heard. so perhaps she would blossom too. (her family didnt care much about her departure.)
unfortunately that was not the case.
ridiculed for being a country fool, moreso poor, she was looked down upon.
she does a whole bunch of part-time jobs. whatever is available to keep her going.
it was then she came across vampires.
she had met a friend, a co-worker, and this female introduced her to a new bar. unknown to sowon, it was a bar for vampires.
b u t for once in her life she was put on display. finally, there were eyes on her.
although she found out it was to be a blood bag, sowon was lost in the attention.
there was this thrill of being bitten, of dying to only find out she was on the edges of surviving. plus the rewards: whether it was lust-filled or an expensive bag, kept her satisfied.
being wanted by vampires meant something for her when she was always unwanted.
switching from no one to someone now, sowon acts with her head up high.
but sometimes she has social anxiety and feels insecure.
unknown to most, is the lost and lonely child that resides inside.
yo pls love her. shes emo af inside. but also lovable and like needy ?? so different from my other characters gdi.
