So I’m rewatching Fairy Tail and fully believe the episode “Lucy Heartfilia” is where my OTP was born. Natsu gets so pissed off when he realizes Lucy is gone and goes after her alone (not counting Happy, who’s always glued to his side). Lucy jumps off a tower believing he’ll catch her even though she’d die if the timing was off just a little bit. Then Natsu actually stops his pursuit of revenge for Makarov because she’s crying and is very gentle with her as he takes her back to the guild. My heart ❤️

Hi! I really love your posts. I wanted to ask can you please go into more detail about how you think Lucy acts more hyperactive compared to Natsu when they are alone. You said that in an older post and I wanted to get your take on that in more detail because it makes sense and I never really thought about it until you said it!! Thank you so much!!

Okey, so I want to start with this picture:

Natsu gets calm and relaxed arround Lucy, this is not a headcanon, or the fandom being delusional, it's straight up facts.

With a relaxed state of mind comes how one really behaves, and with Natsu, it's extremely obvious.

We can compare it to how he acts with everyone else in the guild versus Lucy (when they are alone)

Here he was alone with Gray FOR 3 DAYS, and the only thing they did was fight (I'm not saying they don't have a good relationship, they have a very healthy rivalry)

Now, I know that the people I showed are people Natsu admires, people he wants to defeat in the future in a fair fight, but that doesn't mean he can't have real relaxing moments with them, for example, Erza. She is like his older sister and Natsu glorifies her, but he doesn't see her as someone he can relax with like he does with Lucy.

In other words, Natsu uses the guild to vent.

While Lucy is his safe place.

I, personally, believe that Natsu uses his fights in the guild to make a point. To make people see that he is reliable, that's why he keeps challenging the strongest guild members.

I'm not saying he doesn't think lucy is strong, he just doesn't WANT to fight her. Actually, not only he doesn't want to fight her, he can't, at least not willingly.

The guild does know that he is strong, they just remind him that he is just not there yet, he has the potential, but he needs time, and while this is true we have never seen Lucy doubt Natsu's strenght. She ALWAYS thinks that he is going to win, no matter what, no matter who he is against. Lucy completely believes that he will win no matter what.

Natsu uses his time with Lucy to actually relax, he doesn't see the necesity to fight Lucy, since she actually believes that he is the strongest, she has absolute blind and complete faith in Natsu, giving him what he actually needs, rest.

The reason why I say she seems more hyperactive compared to Natsu is not because she necessarily is, it's just that Natsu can actually relax with her, making her seem more hyperactive.

When both of them are relaxed, they look like a god damn family

Obviously, new star dress, or at least something that resembles it since mercuphobia is not a spirit, let's call it "dragon dress" (I'm really basic let me be)

New moments with lucy as the main heroine = “the one who saves the day” instead of natsu

Not necessarily dragon slayer magic, but dragon magic unlocked for lucy, aka, fighting dragons without the need of wendy’s enchantment

The prebious thought leading to Lucy being essential for the fight against Ignia

Using aquarius's key first, “something bad happens(referring to that panel)” forcing herself to use the water dragon god and unlocking the dress? (he probably needs an ungodly amount of magic to summon)

Posible unison raid with Natsu? (two dragon roars), now knowing that perhaps natsu gets new fire powers that could damage Ignia+Lucy's new water dragon god's powers, it would be really cool.

Possible new keys (in the future) + new star dresses + new star dress mix (or the concept of them)

Lucy becoming incredible versatile (she already is but they don’t use it nearly as enough as they should)

Lucy vs Ignia??? (not a full on fight but enough to buy some time, maybe distract him from something)

Ignia vs mercuphobia? (lucy summons him)

Natsu fails to defeat Ignia, loses control because of those flames and lucy confronts him with her new powers? (a girl can dream okey???)

So far so good, I want to imagine that this new power up for her means that she becomes essential for the future final fight

Even more knowing that Natsu could very likely lose control, and Lucy having the powers of the WATER dragon god makes it just perfect

I just hope that Mashima cooking big time rn and that he uses this opportunity not only to develop nalu, but finally clean Lucy's name because my girl gets too much hate for absolutely no reason

How about the "I heard today is telemachus birthday" Au

The suitors are actually nice, and just help penelope around with Telemachus and the kingdom

Odysseus is red with anger just to com home and everyone is helping penelope plan a birthday party to his son and helping her with ithaca while he is gone.

No bloodshed

And he gets to see penelope again and they have their emotional meeting.

The suitors are like

"SO THE KING IS ALIVE"

"I told you we should have belived the queen"

"Telemachus will be so happy to see you here"

"HEY, it became a legend that only you could string that old bow, since then everyohe tried but no one could do, can you show us?"

"Hey, let the king have a moment with his wife, they havent seen eachother in 20 years"

"Hey you two can have your moment alone, we will warn when we see your son boat on the horizon"

And then on their room

"What was that?"

"Oh yeah, telemachus' friends,they are pretty nice, they helped us around the palace."

And odysseus is like: ":0"

Yea so Ody is finally home and he’s with his wife and son. It’s all cool and fun. But hold on. Can you imagine how HORRIFYING Odysseus and his family must be to other Royals now?

Here is a king that fought monsters, witches, slaughtered most of the male Nobles in his kingdom. FOUGHT POSEIDON AND MADE HIM BEG FOR MERCY!

And worst of all, he is crazy smart. So negotiating or trying to make deals with Odysseus must be the most horrifying thing in existence at the time. You can’t threaten him, you can’t negotiate a better position than him, you can only just sit there and smile as you pray you don’t accidentally offend him.

Oh and that’s not all, If Penelope also dislikes you, you’re f***ed. Because Odysseus fought a war for 10 years over an oath. Imagine what he would do if someone tried something with his wife… OH WAIT, we don’t have to. He SLAUGHTERED them! And she might not even need him to.

She is from Sparta and by Odysseus own words JUST AS SMART AS HIM. The main reason she didn’t go out and fight those nobles/kick them out is because of the laws of hospitality (which are enforced by Zeus). But with her god piercer husband, she doesn’t need to be so polite anymore. And she held the kingdom together for 20 years! She knows how to handle business. So yea, don’t mess with her either.

And his kid? He’s a warrior of the mind now! Who has the favor of ATHENA! WHO in a very short time learned how to fight. Going from losing a fist fight, to fighting dozens of men who only overwhelmed him because he got TIRED of kicking their asses! He has ATHENA on his side as his best friend. Dont even try

Point is The Ithaca royal family is a f***ing nightmare to deal with now.

He's compared to almost all monsters in the musical during that one song.

His name's chanting is the same as Polyphemus', and he acts a little like him when he decides to kill everyone.

He aims for the torches just like Scylla.
