I had time for one last assignment before I graduated in my senior studio class, so I spent it on a dialogue animation. 

I had my previous films without dialogue so I could submit them to international (?) film festivals, but that wound up being a wasted effort, so, here is this. It is unfinished, and will probably remain that way. 

 Made with Toon Boom harmony instead of my favored CSP. I used audio from a Game Grumps 10 minute power hour episode, because I though their banter suited the two characters well. 

Titus is on the left, and Faustus is on the right. Titus is a guardsman, and Faustus is a traveling merchant. They come together in the winter months, for the most part. Faustus doesn't approve of Titus taking bribes, so he's quite furious when he comes back. The two are married, as evidenced by their matching braces, and live quite happily together otherwise.

Here is my senior film!

About persevering no matter what life throws at you. 

I was back to on campus classes for this one, so I was commuting about two hours each day, five days a week, to a full time course-load alongside my part time job. (I don’t recommend it.)

My junior thesis film! Spent a year making this in my junior year as a film student. I wound up learning a lot, so much so that looking back at this is kind of unbearable for me, but I am still proud of the progress I made back then during those quarantine years.

Messing around in Blender 3d  this morning! A weeping flower--legend has it that drinking this plant's tears will boost your mana 😭

Finished a few more Blender3d tutorials; 'Coffee and Cookies' by @polygonrunway and 'Cereal Box' by @marcelaylucin on youtube! I kind of mixed them both together to make the snack break of my dreams ❤️

Made my first ever Blender 3d project! I followed along with 3dGreenhorn’s tutorial on youtube. 

I’ve been trying to get into 3d modeling again now that I’m done with college--I think it’s beneficial to be adaptable to multiple programs and styles. I wasn’t fond of using Maya, especially due to it’s price point, so Blender is the next best thing! 

--And it seems to be getting more interest as time goes on, so who knows! Maybe it’ll be another industry standard one day :>

Lightning Animation Demo

Animating lightning is less complicated than it seems! I also recommend adding blank frames to make your lightning flicker. Of course, you can always push your animation further by adding other effects like scorched earth, burns, smoke, fire and embers to the surrounding areas.
