I spent a lot of my life standing up and believing in things just because my family believed in those same things. I believed what I had been taught by my family. As I got older, I began to realize that some of my thoughts weren’t what I believed anymore. I developed my own thoughts and ideas, sometimes separating myself from my family. Sometimes it is hard speaking out because you always want the support of your family and you always want to remain on good terms with them. This past week I have seen so many people that I went to school with or grew up with, posting things that I didn’t agree with. It makes me wonder how much of those ideas are their own and how much of them are thoughts that they’ve been conditioned to think. It makes me wonder how many people don’t speak on how they feel about a certain topic out of fear of jeopardizing relationships. In a household sometimes you’re told that something isn’t right and you’re not allowed to question it. You’re not allowed to speak freely on how you feel. A lot of people do not do their own research. They don’t search within themselves to find out how they really feel. They instead go along with what their families, spouse, friends, majority thinks, etc.

The fact that Taylor is in a place in where she can actually look back at everything she’s been through AND can actually share it with the whole world, shows that she is in an amazing place in her life. This makes me feel insanely happy because she deserves to be extremely happy and loved.

Last time I posted, I talked about how I was getting ready to look at places to move to and how my parents were not excited at all.

An update: I am moving this weekend. I know it’s crazy. Or at least it is to me because it seems like I was just getting my head wrapped around the idea of moving and now I’m going to be moving in less than a week. I have been very emotional because this is the first time I’ve actually moved away from home. I’m looking forward to moving, but I’m also just going to miss being so close to my family. I feel like it will be a bittersweet experience. I know once I get used to it, I’ll be fine, but right now I’m just an emotional wreck.
