Walking down memory lane: While sorting through a stack of old papers, I found this hiking cheat sheet, written on the back of a Nature Valley cereal bar pack.
It’s from my Boston time - one of the best chapters in my life so far. While today I would use actual degrees for navigation, it was good enough to take me to the top of Mt. Adams.
On this hike I had to find out, that even on a very easy Sunday walk in the mountains, the effect of dehydration can be quite severe. Luckily I met a wonderful ranger on the way down, who was looking after a group of kids on a mountain hut and helped me out with some water and a good conversation.
