y’all this part made me tear up. cause this is her feeling comfortable enough to be vulnerable in from of a camera after years and years of being criticized for her vulnerability. obviously she also got praised for that - for being sensitive in her music, but the other side of the coin is that she gets teared apart for being a sensitive person. and still she wants to share that side of her with people. i love her so much. and i’m so glad she found the right person to direct this film, someone who’s so emphatic and has become clearly very fond of her. miss americana (2020) dir. lana wilson is the best film i’ve ever seen and i haven’t even seen it yet
