As the wizarding world commemorates the one-year anniversary of the historic Amnesty Decree, we reflect on a year of remarkable progress towards healing and reconciliation. The Ministry of Magic's courageous decision to extend forgiveness to all individuals involved in the tumultuous events of the past has proven to be a resounding success, laying the groundwork for a future built on harmony and cooperation.

Since its inception, the Amnesty Decree has served as a beacon of hope, offering redemption to those who may have been led astray by the allure of darkness. Former Death Eaters and members of the Order of the Phoenix alike have embraced the opportunity to reintegrate into society, embracing their roles as productive members of our community.

Minister for Magic, Millicent Bagnold, hailed the anniversary as a testament to the resilience and unity of the wizarding community. WANTED: The Devotee Kaya Scodelario. Knights of Walpurgis. 30.

I was, and am, the Dark Lord's most loyal servant.

An heiress to the noble House of Black, Bellatrix was the eldest of her family's daughters. After graduating from Hogwarts, she would go on to join the Death Eaters alongside future husband Rodolphus, ands would quickly become one of Lord Voldemort's most faithful soldiers.

It is her who strikes the final blow on Albus Dumbledore (intervening in a duel he had been engaged in with her lord, but ultimately triumphing for it). Victory is sweet, but short lived. A few months later, Lord Voldemort vanishes. (Dead, they claim, as though the Dark Lord could die.)

It is her who founds the Knights of Walpurgis. After all, Lord Voldemort's most faithful must carry out his work.

Bellatrix's face claim is highly flexible. Her actions after Voldemort's death are also flexible, but for the fact that she is a founding member, if not the sole founder, of the Knights of Walpurgis. This character will likely be highly involved and require communication, as a result of her unique position.

The True Heir Rumors of another heir to Slytherin have been circling London, with many once Death Eaters interested in seeking out this individual — could it be their Lord, returned? There is No War in London The Ministry seems intent to erase all traces of the wizarding war. The pardons were the first round of measures. Shortly after, taboos were introduced on the names "Lord Voldemort" and "Albus Dumbledore". Witch Watchers seem alert for any sign of dissent. Blindspots A rumor has arisen in the wake of a recent (though largely kept under wraps by the Ministry) rash of disappearances. Several seers, from those in prominent positions to those on the wrong side of the law, have vanished, seemingly without a trace. What could this mean? Where could they be?

Gold, known for her regular horoscope column featured in Witch Weekly, was last seen leaving her residence in Diagon Alley nearly a week ago. The circumstances surrounding Gold's disappearance remain shrouded in mystery, with authorities launching a thorough investigation to uncover any leads or clues that may shed light on her whereabouts. Aurors are working tirelessly to piece together the puzzle, interviewing witnesses and canvassing areas where Gold was known to frequent in hopes of uncovering new information. While speculation abounds regarding the possible reasons behind Gold's disappearance, authorities have emphasized the importance of remaining vigilant and refraining from jumping to conclusions. In the meantime, members of the divination community and the wizarding public at large have expressed their solidarity and support for Gold's family and loved ones during this trying time. Not interested in playing an ordinary wix? No problem! Here are some things you can play on Speak Softly: Vampires Vampires are, contrary to popular belief, a species unto their own, rather than a curse like lycanthropy. This means that vampires are born, rather than made. (And part-vampires, though rare, are an occurance that can and does occur within wizarding society.) Werewolve Being a werewolf, fundamentally, is being afflicted with the curse of Lycanthropy. Werewolves are not born and the curse cannot be passed on to a werewolf’s children. Rather, lycanthropy is transmitted via the bite of an existing werewolf. Typically, this is fatal. Ghosts Ghosts are the remnants of wixen souls which choose to remain, rather than pass through the veil. They appear as silvery, translucent apparitions of themselves at the time of their death. Muggles cannot become ghosts, though there have been instances of animals doing so. Wix are no longer able to use magic after becoming ghosts.

The Tears (of the Phoenix) Once members or supporters of the Order of Phoenix, these individuals balked at the idea of Death Eaters — individuals who had tortured and killed and committed atrocities during the war — pardoned. Members of the Tears are committed to making Death Eaters pay for their actions during the war, doling out punishments as they see fit, with no oversight. They are wanted criminals, often referred to as "Witch Hunters".

The Knights of Walpurgis Adopting the name of the original Death Eaters, the Knights of Walpurgis await the prophesied return of the heir of Slytherin. Some are new members to the cause, swayed by the promise of fame and glory, others marked Death Eaters, carrying on their duties, discreetly, in Tom's absence. Their most important work currently is stopping the Tears' attacks on current members as well as locating the heir.

The Underground War is unkind to everyone, and no one knows it more than the Underground. A group of former Death Eaters and Order members alike, these individuals work together (sometimes reluctantly) to try and keep the Ministry on course to a better future. They all recognize the early signs of downfall: a slow uptick in purist rhetoric, anger and frustration towards a government stuck in the middle, and witch hunts, both literal and metaphorical, throughout the wizarding world. They've seen this before, and they need to stop it. The Ministry of Magic As cogs in the machine, any individual working for the Ministry (and not one of the above three) ends up in the Ministry faction. Whether they believe in neutrality or not, whether they're against the mass-pardon or not, these individuals work for and serve the Ministry, and thus, in one way or another, contribute to its efforts to keep the wizarding world neutral, at peace, and unaligned with Death Eaters, Order members, or any of their ilk, alike.

The Wizarding World Neutrality is as much a choice as allying yourself with a cause, and all other characters end up in the wizarding world. The most, in theory, neutral, of the groups, wizarding society as a whole has chosen to try and "move past" the wizarding war and its atrocities as best they can, keeping their eyes trained forward and brushing the worst of it under the rug. Obviously, on an individual by individual basis, there are wix who agree and disagree with these stances, but by-and-large, they are the minority.

The end of the war begins with Bellatrix Lestrange's triumph over Albus Dumbledore, and a dark February for the Order of the Phoenix. It ends with the sudden, unexpected, death of Tom Riddle (alias Lord Voldemort), after Regulus Black's systematic seeking out and destroying of all of his once-lord's horcruxes. Finally, this tumultuous period has come to a close.

The war is over. The Death Eaters and Order of Phoenix alike have been dissolved, following the deaths of their leaders, and the Ministry has, graciously, offered clemency to all: everyone will be pardoned of actions committed during the war. It was a dark time, under the sway of two megalomaniacal wizards.

(Involvement in both groups or any offshoots thereof is outlawed, to only ensure this point further.)

It's a new year, finally, and it's time to wipe the slate clean.
