i imagine that the somnacin project is sort of like how the strategic scientific reserve worked in the f/irst a/venger. aka i’m rewatching that and thinking about how they had a select group of people to study and train with the use of somnacin and the pasiv device. i’ve always sort of headcanoned that afterwards there was literally only a handful of them that could keep it together, that could tell what was real and what wasn’t anymore. that whole project probably got shut down. not as quick as it should have been, probably.
