They’re silent, pondering the questions.

“… I’ve seen a great many things. A crimson eye… isn’t one of them. I’m not sure if it’s seen me either. Probably-” there’s the sound of static, a beep, like a word being redacted that comes from Spectator’s mouth. “- kept it from seeing me.”

They look up at the stars, still and unmoving in this fake place, just an emulation of the real things.

“I don’t know who or what you are. But you’re much braver than me, wanting to be found.”

Spectator stares up at the night sky, for a while, till the next person comes.

You turn around to be greeted with a sinuous, melting form that smiles in a way that unsettles you. Too wide, too many teeth, too unnatural.
