ive gained a decent amount of weight back since i had top surgery and was on medical leave a year ago and the difference in how people treat me is soo alarming (but unsurprising). Like ive lived as a fat person for a good majority of my life and have had to deal with shit from family, friends, peers, etc. during all of that but after my eating disorder relapse resulting in rapid weight loss people started treating me better. which, again, isn't a surprise to me at all but to visibly gain some of it back and have people treat me weird again has been such a slap to the face & is such a blow to my progress wrt The Disorder™️
