Sorry i kno alreagd asked about it.. but Anaa has been on mind now what kind of archeological work did u do ?Im so facsinatdddd what peoples/cultures walked there,did you find cool old things ..?🪷

Anaa was first settled by Polynesians c. second half of the first millenium, so they built temples (marae) and that's mostly what we investigated :) we don't usually find "treasures" or whatever but we sieve for mostly faunal remains (fish, shellfish, turtle...) left from possible feasts and consumption events and that's what i study!

i feel so mean and anti social but i can't be bothered socializing with my "dorm mates" at the university residence i'm staying at 😭 i'm invited to a potluck dinner at the shared kitchen (the fact that im sharing a kitchen w 12 ppl makes me want to kms) on tuesday and i'll do anything to dodge it

finally had the guts to criticize the methods of a researcher i worked for whos pushing me to publish weak ass data due to weak ass methodology and i dont wanna be associated w that lets see how it goes

i need to move from there at some point but the other option is roommating with ppl who usually come from France to experience "paradise" for 6 months, surf, try to get good at the ukulele with jason mraz songs and having the dumbest most racist takes about the local way of life under the cover of shallow environmental concern

when i was younger i used to get teased about my weight a lot, being a chubby girl...now that i'm an adult and relatively thin i spent six weeks being commented on by men (themselves insecure about their appearance) on my eating habits the likes of "how you eating so much for your stature!" and whatever the fuck. you never win do you every way you do it is gonna be picked on and joked about smh
