Spider-Man Movie Thoughts
The Toby Maguire Franchise
I liked this series the most. One thing that I absolutely enjoyed about this one was how his webbing looked like he was an actual mutant. And until I read the comics, I thought this how it always was. I liked how it showed him with his fingers and how he was getting the texture on them like a real spider does. In Spider-Man 2, my favorite scene was the one where Sandman comes to life. I like how the animation of it showed the grains of sand coming together to make Flint Marko.
The Andrew Garfield Franchise
The Amazing Spider-Man is my absolute favorite Spider-Man movie! It was the first date I went on with my husband. In this movie I like how it gave a little more in depth involvement of Os Corp. In the other movies you don’t hear too much about it so you don’t really know that much either. I enjoyed how it showed him trying to figure out a costume that he was trying to make. I like that he wasn’t as much of a nerd in this one either. I understand that Peter Parker is a nerd, but he wasn’t as nerdy in this one. Another thing I enjoyed is that it gave some history of his parents. And that they weren’t just these people who died and we knew nothing about.
The Tom Holland Home Series
Oh where do I start with this one? There were a lot of things that I enjoyed in this series of the Spider-Man movies. One of them being his costume. I think they did a better job of showing a homemade costume from Peter Parker in this franchise than the other ones. We all have to start small and it showed that in this series a little bit better than the other ones. I also thought it was cool how they had Tony Stark in this series as well. I love that he was a mentor to Peter Parker, which is something that he needed. I like in the second movie how he was able to obtain Tony Starks glasses for the A.I. that he made. I like that even Tony is dead, he’s still looking out for Peter. I also liked how they had him in the Avengers movies as well. And I also thought it was neat that Tony Stark made him some costumes. And enjoyed seeing Peter make his own like Tony does with his suits in Spider-Man Far From Home.
Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse
OH MY GOODNESS!!!! I absolutely LOVED the animation in this movie! With all the animated movies I’ve ever seen, this one is just my favorite because of the animation alone! I like how it partially looked like comic book animation along with just the digital animation as well. The soundtrack went so well with the movie as well and in fact it’s the only soundtrack that I have remembered from any of the 8 Spider-Man movies I have seen. I like how it explains that there are different multi-verses of Spider-Man. And the voices that they had for the characters fit them so well too.

Why Spider-Man?
I’m not exactly sure what brought me onto the love that I have for Spider-Man. I’m not sure if it was the costume, his story, or just what he’s had to work for as a hero but I just love literally everything about him. The Toby Maguire Spider-Man franchise has definitely helped a lot too. I was never really into the cartoons growing up all that much and didn’t really watch anything until the Toby Maguire movies. Then the Amazing Spider-Man franchise came out and I fell in love even more learning more about the villains of the Spider-Man universe. After that, the Spider-Man Home Series as I call it with Tom Holland came out. I like them just as much as the other two franchises. I like how they incorporated a little more with the Avengers in them as well. I have started a comic collection about 6 years ago now. I now have figures, lithos, and tons of other toys just simply because of the interest and obsession I have for Spider-Man.
