it is, in fact, entirely possible to be a transfeminist without being a man hating political lesbian, and i think a real transfeminist would know this.

The problem isn't the over designed twinks or the silly horse girls or the goofy cookies it's the gambling. You guys know it's the gambling right? I need to you all to know the problem with gatcha games is that they're just normalizing gambling addictions to younger generations.

Did everyone consent to being there, did the dancers know their audience, were they paid (looking at the yesses) what the fuck is the problem
I don't know what it will take to break this into your gooey young hearts, but you don't stop having fun -- all forms: physical, mental, sexual, social, literarily, culturally -- as you age
You should be seeking joy and pleasure until the very instant you exhale your last mortal breath
Renounce pleasure at your own loss, I will spend none of my life force or temporal passage grieving for you or remembering you

honestly equating enjoyment and poor quality is so dumb like you think everyone reading classics or watching arthouse movies etc are doing it while hating it? idk if it's the mindset that people just do things performatively or to look smart without actually 'being' smart (smartness is a construct ultimately but let's not get into that right now) but like... i guarantee you most people who really love austen or baldwin or hemingway or dostoevsky or morrison or whoever are not pretending. and like fellini or cassavetes or kurosawa filmbros genuinely enjoy them. like im sure there are posers out there and people acting like they like them to just fit into a certain 'aesthetic' or whatever but like. is it so hard to believe that people actually like these things? maybe it's insecurity or projection or anything at all but like... not everyone thinks these things are boring. even people who find them hard work derive 'fun' and enjoyment from them. and im sorry but i do think that a lot of people could benefit from trying them and taking some time with them instead of just rapid consumption of mediocrity. i don't even mean it in a pretentious way i just genuinely think that if u give things a chance u might like it and even if not it'll expand your worldview and knowledge and taste etc etc

The reason why God was so involved in human affairs a long time ago but then noped out after Jesus is because God is going through the same motions for every animal species: making a covenant, giving commandments, and sending down his own child to die in the form of that species. I know this because I felt an odd urge to swallow a mouse yesterday and, when I questioned it, I received a vision from God saying that He was on mice right now, and the mouse I was about to swallow was the mouse-equivalent of Jonah. Tomorrow I'm supposed to spit him out in a den of sinful mice so that he can squeak to word of God at them. I wish that little guy the best.

Someone at an old job asked why I wanted to write up the meeting minutes for our team and I said 'i wanna control the narrative' and they were like 'what' and I pointed out that no one was gonna remember what we said in six months and so my interpretation of the meeting would dictate the assumed reality of what happened
"none of you ever send corrections when I offer the draft so y'all have consented to my version"
"we don't read that shit"
"you must trust me implicitly to create our shared reality that's so sweet"
That's how several coworkers decided I was a supervillain and how I learned several coworkers didn't understand record keeping as like a CONCEPT

Had to unfollow this one person on here cause they just would not stop making posts about how transfems on e getting periods is just made up symptoms and like, I don't have definitive proof I only have my and others experience but like how do you, as someone who is not on e, who has access to the same amount of studies looking into this with decent sample sizes as I do (none), feel so confident to say it's all just placebo and made up ? What makes you so confident ? Cause I gotta say after almost two years of nearly right on the dot once a month suddenly feeling nausea all week, taking the most unbelievable shits, feeling all my organs cramp, and having mood swings out the ass which always just so happens to line up with when the two people with uteruses in my house also get their periods, I feel like I have more data to work off of than you do

There was a character in a book I read once who was described as "handsomely fat" and that phrase is stuck in my brain forever. The author really was like "no shut up, they're charismatic, they're good-looking, they're handsomely fat. not just handsome AND fat; them being fat is directly contributing to their good looks. you agree." and they were RIGHT

making friends is like. does this person consider me a friend or am i being weird? am i being annoying right now? is this funny or am i weird? do you like to play like me or am i weird? i really like writing with you and i want to know you better but i don't want to make you uncomfortable. i'm still testing the waters, is this raunchy joke funny or am i being weird? i want to know what you think is funny. i want to know what you like. i want to know the sorts of things you like to read and write so i can do it better for you. i'm still figuring you out and i can't tell if you're like me or if i'm just weird.

someone got really mad at me for being pro-pornography so i'd like to be annoying for a little longer:
-there are enormous problems with exploitation in the porn industry that harm and endanger the people within it, and that harm is carried out mostly against women and minorities
-this is Bad
-however the last century of passing laws against pornography hasn't actually helped any of those problems, and what sex workers tend to advocate for is the legitimization of their labor, so that they can then access the same protections and regulations that people in other industries can access
-for instance football players, miners, roofers, and warehouse workers are also exploited and endangered by their professions, have to work long hours, and can end up traumatized and disabled by unregulated and unsafe working conditions. these people are used up and thrown away by powerful bosses they can't individually challenge.
-however because these industries are not de facto illegal to participate in, when these people form unions and demand better working conditions, they can at least fight for their rights.
-sex workers, who engage in heavily stigmatized work that's also often illegal, have little recourse to demand better treatment.
-even if you don't like porn, and especially if you don't like porn, if you care about the women who are exploited in pornography, you need to advocate for the legality of pornography.
-the more illegal the porn industry is, the less safe and fair it is, and people will still be working in it, no matter how illegal it is.
-again: the porn industry should be regulated like any other industry and subject to laws guaranteeing fair compensation for labor, safe working conditions, and legal resources for workers suffering exploitation and abuse.
-once it is legal to do sex work, then women can bring charges against the men who have broken their contracts and abused them.
-and that is why i push back against posts saying that pornography is evil. it is an entertainment product, made by people, to meet an ongoing demand. criminalizing the consumption and production of it may slightly lessen the demand at the incredible cost of endangering everyone involved. and i think that is what's evil.
