crimetimefox:
There goes those plans. His nerves almost force an impulse to reach for a weapon until it truly clicks just who this is. Instead he turns his head around, slack jawed and confused – and then immediately visibly excited and all too happy to see his best friend! He throws his arms up, twitching showing some impulse control to stim… before he just lets loose and starts flapping his arms up and down due to the wave of emotion! “OH. MY GODS! MA- AAAAAAAAAGGGHHH!!!”
He stops, knowing the routine even though it’s so difficult to control his excitement. His grin stays prevalent the entire time.
“Heh. Too bad you didn’t have me turn around and stab you out of confusion.”
ᴀᴛ ʜɪs response to her appearance, the feline casually walked closer to the fox, arms still crossed with a snarky grin; thus began their "playful banter." Of course she wanted to bounce around with him and immediately commit some dank crimes, they needed to do their fun little greeting first; it was mandatory.
❝ Too bad you didn’t drop you knife and fall on top of it. ❞
After that was done, the girl enthusiastically flung her arms in the air to match the fox with a wide smile.
❝ I’m SO glad you’re here, dude!! It’s been hell. ❞

crimetimefox:
…Heh. Despite Gregg’s looming, growing worries about the entire situation at hand, he makes an attempt to lighten the mood. At least his mood, anyways. They spelled coats wrong.
Nerves - that’s all he can feel right now. This situation feels surreal, yet he decides to stand before his “housing” without any signs of fear; save for some shallow breathing covered by his leather, ‘…maybe Angus is in there. Maybe some crazy, big wig, agent like… gays… decided to pull us out of Possum springs and drop us here and. He couldn’t find me. Which is why I’m here. That’s gotta be it. Cults are always crazy like that, it’s a trope.’
So he can hope. Gregg, in his short time of being conscious in this world has fully convinced himself in mere possibilities - disallowing himself to let go of the one person he planned to live out his days with. Smooth walking from here to the door, not even the crunch of loose stone or gravel.
He decides he should… probably go for a walk first. Get rid of the cold feet he has for this new world.
ᴇᴠᴇʀ sɪɴᴄᴇ the vulpine's name flashed during the eclipse, the feline had been frantically searching for her companion. Of all the people in Possum Springs, Mae had been quietly hoping that her over enthusiastic friend would arrive in this terrible place to keep her company. Obviously, it didn't take that long for the fox to arrive-- perhaps a week or two after her own arrival. Mae meandered unconsciously until she stood before a housing unit with a very familiar silhouette standing in front.
With a snarky grin, the girl stood behind him, her single notched ear giving a soft twitch with arms crossing before yelling out at him.
❝ Hmm... Too bad you didn’t fall into that pit and die. ❞

“It’s not even a list. It’s a book.”
He pauses.
“Or wait, no, probably a short list with really big names.”
❝ Yeah, pretty sure it’s the first one. A big book of Scriggin Haters. And it’s a HUGE book, because the names are STILL REALLY BIG! ❞

“Dude have you seen my ass? It’s right here. Look at it. It’s glorious. No wonder Bea likes me, I’d like me too if I saw my own ass.”
ᴍᴀᴇ ᴛʜʀᴏᴡs her open palms in the direction of his rear end, making sure to enunciate each word.
❝ Not Impressed. If you saw your own ass you’d be like ‘oh god what is that i should get a doctor’s opinion’ but then the doctor would look at it and say that it was inoperable and that you would have live with a weird little ass your whole life. They’d call you Steve “baby ass” Scriggins. ❞

“Listen at the time I couldn’t think of anything more obnoxious you could’ve said to me. I might steal it though. It’s pretty good. It only works if you have a good ass though. Like me! I have a god-tier ass.”
Sʜᴇ ɢᴀᴠᴇ him a stupid grin before crossing her arms yet again, a single brow quirking.
❝ Dude, your ass is like, mediocre at best. Definitely not on par with a god’s. ❞

“Listen, all I remember is you and Gregg stole some robot heads from the Food Donkey, and then you told me to go legally brain dead due to lack of oxygen from choking on your entire ass.” There were a few days after but Steve didn’t remember. Eugh. He hated the Food Donkey. Always smelled like glue.
ᴛʜᴇ ғᴇʟɪɴᴇ laughed to herself before dropping her arms to her sides, her lips curved into a grin.
❝ Oh yeaaaah, that was awesome. You have to admit that was a pretty good line.. ❞

ᴍᴀᴇ sɴɪᴄᴋᴇʀᴇᴅ and crossed her arms.
❝ Dang, that’s like, crazy... Well, I can tell you, it’s still the same from where I came from... Even though I don’t know which point you came from. This time stuff is weird business. ❞

saveshifter:
“ Me too,” Ritsuka piped gently. Arriving yesterday would explain why neither of them knew the bus time or when it would come. She pondered with a bit of a sigh. Thoughts of where the bus schedule might be around her apartment drifted into something else. Mae put that strange feeling into proper words. It had only been a day, but the city, with all its stimuli, threatened a forever. Who knows how long they were gonna be here? The girl pushed these philosophical wonders out of her head, turning fully toward Mae.
“ Heh. Time will pass if we have a little fun. If that works, viola! Plus, if we’re ever stuck waiting around someplace we can give each other a call or text too. You’ve been nice to talk to so far. ”
ᴡʜɪʟᴇ ᴛʜᴇ young woman was contemplating her existential thoughts, the feline was doing literally the exact same thing; she knew Bea existed in Possum Springs, but... oddly enough, it wasn't her Bea. She was like, from a different point in time. And Steve-- well, he was a different story entirely. When the girl’s attention shifted towards her, Mae’s ears gave a soft twitch before she would respond.
❝ Hey, same to you! Let me uh... get my phone. ❞
At that, the feline whipped out her cellphone from... somewhere. Thank god the city provided her with an upgrade, but, how the heck was she supposed to use this thing? Thankfully, the screen was responsive to paw pads-- she opened up the new contact file and looked up at her with those huge bright eyes, complete with a feline grin.
❝ I’m used to a lame flip phone back home, this thing is like probably a thousand bucks or something in Possum Springs. Okay, okay, here, enter your info. ❞

Her jump had him jump in response, ears flattened to his head before scoffing at her for making him react so… so easily.
Well, it didn’t take a genius to figure out that this ‘Possum Springs’ place must’ve been where this person came from. Still, that irritated him further that he’d basically been given a ‘fuck if I know’ for an answer rather than even vague speculation.
“Thanks, that literally doesn’t help either of us now, does it.” That stupid ‘empathy’ thing he’d been trying to learn insisted that she wasn’t at fault for knowing just about the same amount of stuff that he did, but god dammit, he had to blame someone for this weird shit.
It was especially weird to not have everyone know who he was. That was going to take some getting used to.
“Name’s Fresh.” Not that it mattered. He was going to get out of this place quicker than he’d spend wasting time on ‘making friends’ with the other’s who seemed just as lost as he felt. Still, she could be of some use to him. “And… you?” He strained to return the gesture of introductions.
ᴀs ʜᴇ jumped in response to her, the girl gave off a rather awkward and embarrassed side smile as her own ears slicked back against her skull. She took a moment to smooth her fur back along her neck before taking a breath and listening to his response. At said reply, her eyes narrowed slightly before she crossed her arms.
❝ Hey man, all I know is that we’re in Spirale, don’t kill the messenger. ❞
When he offered his name, the girl dropped her hands to her sides before giving the notched ear a gentle twitch. She took a moment to study him, immediately taking note that his entire form was shapes. Circles, squares, triangles-- shapes. Sweat began to bead at the feline’s forehead as she attempted to remain calm in this being’s presence, although she was visibly trembling.
❝ Uh, uhhhh... Mae, I’m Mae. BUT UH, I think I left something in the uh... toaster, its probably on fire I UH.... I GOTTA GO. ❞
At that, the feline turned tail an absolutely broke off in a sprint back towards her housing unit... She felt some remorse for the fact that she was unable to help the man, but, at the same time, her brain was sending off so many signals everything seemed foggy-- she could barely see where she was going.
