👀 What is the most disturbing thing they’ve ever seen?

well, for piers it was dynamaxing at first, i personally have written a lot for piers prior to isola so it’s purely hc based in these questions but he’s not from galar initially. coming to galar as a child, the concept of dynamaxing is odd and something he detests greatly due to it being something he feels wrong. outside of that, piers can stomach most things that others normally seem as really disturbing.

🤞  What is one of the biggest lies they’ve told (or their most recent lie)?

tellin’ marnie he’d come home safe. now he’s stuck in this place with no sign of leaving in sight - but other than that, piers doesn’t like lying. it does more harm than good, really, for both parties in the case of and he values honesty a lot so it’s by a case of ‘ treat them how you want to be treated ‘ type deal.

🐲Were they afraid of monsters under the bed as a child?

nope, he had other things to fear than something like monsters under his bed coughshisfathercoughs. he was well behaved as a kid to avoid getting that type of talk if he was staying up past his curfew and his mother didn’t enjoy jokes like that anyway bc the last thing she’d want was her child being too scared to sleep in their own home.

breathe easy?  but that wasn’t the most alleviating of responses…  is she to believe she was just dumped here and left to fend for herself?  sure, she’s done trials by herself–  but those only lasted a couple days at most!  she doesn’t know how to leave here, and there’s no one familiar in sight.  there is some comfort to be had knowing her experience is shared.  how much that fact actually does to diminish her fears is yet to be seen.

   “ i’m coco, ”   she responses in turn,   “ and, well, i’d probably be more help with my magic, but i haven’t been able to cast very many spells here… ”   her ink still works, it did for her shoes at least, maybe her glyphs aren’t quite right?  she doesn’t know for sure, and it’s hard to say otherwise without a proper instructor.  it’s best to allay any worries and just say she’s unable.  she does still want to help.  it would serve a nice distraction, all things considered.

when she inquires about the food, piers hums  &  lets his fingers tap against the packaged meat  &  washed vegetables he had gotten out prior.  ❛  was plannin’ on makin’ a stew, my mum always said that when nerves are high ‘n’ y’need some comfort, a good hearty stew  was the way t’ go.  ❜  there’s a warm smile that graces his face as he begins to open the cabinets in search for spices. thankfully this kitchen was filled with food for a week, but after, he’ll have to go back out  &  restock.

Hop refuses to cry in front of Piers, no matter how much his eyes and face burn. He’s already sobbed in front of Raihan, for Arceus’ sake (and all over his hoodie, too)! That was embarrassing enough, and he’d rather not add that to the ever growing list that is things that made him cry.

So instead he blinks the tears away before they truly surface, using Piers’ colourful words as a distraction. He puffs his cheeks out, letting go of the singer’s sleeve. “E-Ease up on the language, maybe. You should know by now it’s illegal to swear in front o’ me.” He missed banter like this.

Well, back to the dreaded topic of Spirale…

“But, uh—” Without a sleeve to grip, Hop occupies his hands with his bag’s strap, fingers finding a loose thread to play with. “— yes, Rai’s here - an’ if you came here ‘bout three days ago, that’d mean… you two showed up a couple weeks apart.” But why, is the question; why so close together?

“I’ve been,” trapped? Stranded? “here fer a while. They made Felt a Wooloo again, an’ took the rest of my ‘mons an’ items when I first got here, too - but after a lil while, they gave Karma back!” A smile reaches his face as he remembers how happy they all were to be reunited - and widens further upon seeing the dopey look on Zigzagoon’s face.

“So, I think the trick is to just behave an’ socialize…?” Describing this will never not sound like a prison sentence to Hop.
