This is the unofficial tumblr blog of the Street Photography Now Community group on flickr. SPNC is the continuation of the Street Photography Now Project (SPNP) which was organised by the Photographer's Gallery of London from September 2010 to September 2011 to promote the Street Photography Now book published by Thames and Hudson. The Street Photography Now Community admins highly recommend any street photographer to make this book their bedside reading. SPNC admins were participants in SPNP and thank the Photographer's Gallery for having allowed them to make this incredible project continue further. Instructions are written to inspire fresh ways of looking at and documenting the world we all live in. Photographs contributed are new work made in response to the instruction and taken within a two-week timeframe. This blog's main purpose is to show each brief and the selected 5 shots that the instruction giver sees as the best contributed. If less than 5 shots are shown as selections for each instruction, it means one or more of these photos were taken offline. Make sure to visit the SPNC group on flickr, join the most recent instruction group, and shoot for the given brief.
