there's actually some canon content in blue lock: world champion that really supports this! there are other events where isagi is overthinking or worried about something and bachira comes in either lightening the mood or challenging him

My new personal theory for why isagi has become Like That since the match against barous team (i remember three team names and refuse to learn any more) is because he misses bachira as much as we do

No genuinely the biggest changes to his personality came after his match against fc barcha (and manshine but that was more reo going back to his so so ex focused To Me)

I'm convinced this man just misses his boyfriend

He hasn't been able to call bachira perfect or be impressed by his growth or get into shenanigans with him in Ages

Frankly I think playing a match or practicing with bachira could fix him

That's why he's trying to so hard to connect to other men and failing miserably bro is desperate and cannot replace bachiras whimsy and general freakiness (in the most positive way possible he is my beloved little freak)

He's loosing his mind a little being away from bachira for so long and that's the theory I'm going with and I refuse to let it go

If the manga won't give me bachisagi crumbs I'll make my own through sheer delusion
